Bro, I have had this happen to me 2x but I definitely didn't catch that much and I thought I was shadow banned or something. Resetting the game helped

You probably got softbanned, thats what happens when you teleport and tries to catch pokemon without waiting for the cooldown

Back when the game was newer, they might still exist, but there were off brand poke watch's that could be set to auto catch, so similar to the actual pokewatch where you click the button and it throws 1 ball at it, it would go for everything on screen at the same time, no cooldown
You can do the same by encountering a wild Pokemon, keeping your game active on catch screen, fly across the world, then catch the Pokemon and be put on a cool down timer.
I got capped only once back when Farfetch'd was mass released.
Most I've caught in a day is a little over 200 as a level 41 requirement. The Sandshew Com Day helped a lot with that.
funfact: back in 2018 the cap was at ~7000 so only half. many dedicated players around the world hit the cap more and more in couple weeks

I live in Seattle I never hit the catch cap, that is only really doable by spoofers but I did hit the spin cap for pokestops and that's more likely
Ive reach the pokestop cap a couple of times. It's almost imposible to get to the catch cap since you need to have more pokeballs than it is posible by pokestops since you'll get banned from pokestops before.
Actually, there is another way to get a ban...
Select a pokemon, then put your phone down... do not catch it.
Drive 10 miles...
Then catch the pokemon.
You now cannot catch any pokemon, or spin any spot...
It does reset after a time, but it is very annoying...
It is called softban it is implemented to prevent spoofers to teleport and catch at anytime anywhere.
You need to wait for certain times to get out of cool down to be able to catch pokemon or spin pokestop.
I remember when this happened to one of the hard grinding RUclipsrs, his RUclips is Prodigies Nation. Still sad that he eventually quit RUclips

Another way to get shadow banned is to play pogo on a fast moving vehicle (80kmh+)
I use the daily cap to explain to people that for every 400 pokemon caught, you have a chance of getting a shiny. Your video on the catch cap is a good example of how the RNG can work.
at that point youll eventually have one of every pokemon so it doesnt matter if u cant catch any more

This happened to me a few times. Usually at night. I thought my game was on the fritz.
We are not so addicted to this game that make us play 24 hrs.
But I can think of some players who need not work that can do it.

Before I was playing Pokémon go and I couldn’t catch anything and I didn’t get anywhere close to the limit from what I know, at one point I clicked on a caterpie that was around 300 cp and before everything ran away so I used a razz berry and an ultra ball with a nice throw and it didn’t shake once before it ran away
Some of my friends tried a 3rd party software in pokemon go bc they wanted alot of hundos bc that software told cordinates for 100 iv pokemon but there was a timer that they didn't knew and puts them on this limit which I never told them about it
I glitched the catch cap before normally I wouldn’t car but there was a shiny zigzag on my favorite Pokémon and j couldn’t catch it. Thankfully it redeemed itself because three months later I caught it’s

I think if someone from another part of the world logs into the same account and interacts with something, you’ll be temporarily banned
I was in Spain and my son in the UK. We both played on his account. No ban, but nothing spawned for me and I couldn’t catch anything. However, he was able to play just fine.

We call this softban, a lot of streamers actually had hit the limit around gen 3 era of the game, it used to be 500 a day or 3,500 in a week. When you live in a place like New York City and you're catching everything that is very possible to hit but the new limit was implemented to specifically target spoofers and cheaters that have 100% autocatch hacks
I hit the spin cap regularly, auto spinner on all day. Never have I hit the catch cap
I randomly go hard a few times a year and catch cap the main one for the year is Christmas

i got banned 5 days ago for no reason… my account was hacked a few weeks ago and i recently got it back and when i was in the middle of a hoopa raid i got banned and i tried to appeal but it didn’t work😢
Pokestops actually have a cap on how many you can spin too.
I've never hit the cap but 98% of mons just run now and any raid mons teleport or never stay in the ball now. Unless my luck just really sucks.

I can catch at most 200 Pokémon a day, and that's with an incense. But that was back when incense was still great. Now I'm averaging 120 per day.
Sometimes my acc does experience not being able to catch anything, like even rhyhorn at 600 with a great ball

That costs too much money to do. Also, if you spend money like that, why the hell would you be limited? Pokemon Go was doing so well during quarantine, now they add more issues every few months and this catch cap has been around for a while. I'm starting to feel like I invested into this game just for it to piss me off in the end. I have to buy remote passes to even raid because I can go to the most populated places in my city, just to find no one else playing. Honestly wish they added the ability communicate inside the app or move your character within a mile radius without leaving. I live in a dangerous place and you ain't catching Pokemon without getting pressed by some idiot, unless you got safety on you, as I do. Still not bulletproof.
This happened me back in 2017. All my pokemon ran away and to fix it all i did was spin pokestops for like 5 minutes straight

Ive done this before, but in a much easier way. You use your daily incense while driving ion a freeway/ going super fast (Be a passenger!) and you can’t get any incense pokemon until you leave the highway or the incense ends. How I know this works? It happens several times, and lvl one Pokémon with golden razz and a excellent throw run away first try.

Screw that. At least they get to enjoy the game at some point. They don't even catch that many pokemon unless they're messing up with cooldowns and still bypassing the cooldowns, which sends a red flag.
Not sure, but I’ve been struggling to find a good search string for trashing Pokémon. Have a lot of favorite 3 stars that I’m just holding onto. Would love to do a mass transfer of all of them that don’t do anything for me in raids or PVP.

As you find things like hundo, 0/14/15, 0/15/15,
they get a tag for the corresponding league.
Then, you can find Pokémon by League to build GBL teams quicker.
To clear out garbage, you can do that original search string I posted and also add
&!•LL&!•GL&!•UL&!•ML&!•ML_C
The underscore in Master League Classic is because a space will break the string. You could also just name it MLC.
I did this one time in my 6 years of playing and it burned me out. I didn't play for weeks afterwards.
Personally, whenever I’m on the highway (I don’t drive), I can’t catch anything! I have 3 shinies that have ran away! For me, it’s from going from Peoria, to Normal. At some point, I can’t catch anything. It always happens! I’ve had 3 accounts, and it did the same with all of them! It may be because of a lack of service, but it’s really annoying!
It's bc of how fast you're moving, just like trying to spin a pokestop of you're driving by too fast it won't spin
If you’re over a certain speed you cant catch. It’s a safety feature.

I’m all day in my house maybe going around my city which has like 30 pokestops and like 7 gyms so impposible for me
I doubt that I will ever hit that catch cap
I've attempted this a couple times, most I've caught in a day was 2300, I'm not even close
My Pokémon are always fleeing recently 7 Pokémon fled in a row and I’ve only caught 9400 Pokémon since my account was made in 2017 I think niantic hates me😅
Being Soft banned is not the same as being ‘banned’. Make it less scary, all soft banning is very temporary and the reasons for softbanning have to do with stopping bots. Soft banning also happens when going long distances in a short amount of time. All the reasons that cause softbanning are not from TOS violations and no amount of softbans will result in an account being banned

I have a better one only works with incense do the quick catch by pulling out the Barry thing throw a ball run tt hen rec lick on the Pokémon don’t quick catch it literal 0% catch rate no matter what
so for a day you have to catch 1 pokemon every 21 second and 6 more days 1 pokemon every 50 seconds without sleep... if you sleep for 8 hours a day, you will need to catch 1 pokemon every 14 seconds for a day and for 6 days 1 pokemon every 34 seconds.

Niantic seems to have an algorithm that pick what is that player limits for the week.
You will likely get lower limits if your account is suspiciously catching too much pokemon.

That happens to me once but not because I hacked or spoofed idk why it happened I just couldn’t catch any pokemon and I had to delete and reinstall it for it to work
I got catch capped once even though I did not catch nearly that many pokemon every pokemon a tried to catch for like 20 minutes just jumped out and fled immediately and the I just stopped playing for the day
I was on the free way and this happened to me we weren’t moving at all (traffic) I saw a Galarian arutconu ( can’t spell ) and it and every Pokémon I saw ran away
