what a nice day you have ¡¡ very good luck. We did it on august 2022, with some clouds and light rain, but was ausome also, and maybe because was Monday, no one else on the road. Nice to remeber that experience with your video 😀
Unfortunately the section Finse (km 302,31) to Høgkeller (km 318,57) of the Bergensbanen via Taugevand (1301,0 m) is completely abandoned but the track is existing there completely up to this day. During the summer this would be a special tourist attraction comparable to Myrdal - Flåm
great video. can really notice difference in elevation. no trees then bushes w greenery - and trees. hope there is a major highway running parallel for emergency
Amazing!!! I understand that the route is doable with a gravel/touring bike! Is this correct? Which are the best months to do it, in your experience? We were considering September! Thanks for the great video!
The route should be fully doable with a gravel/touring bike, yes! Historically, which I just looked up, July and August are the best months to do it in terms of both high temperatures and low rainfall. The last few years August seems to be the best year in terms of low rainfall, and you do ideally want to do this trip when the sun is out (obviously), as it is simply a stunning experience then!
@@thomaaam Many thanks for the prompt reply, looking forward for this great adventure! Will then try to target the first couple of weeks of September, I guess weather will not be much different from late August! ;)
