You said just hit the 2,500 subscribers on this video. When i watched it for the first time today. You my man are at 131k subscribers. awesome! and i also just subscribed to your page.
You are by far my favorite lawn care channel on RUclips. I love your content and the no frills, no jerking around in the truck sort of thing. Too many guys are making a show of it. You're actually doing something worth watching. Glad I found you!
First time watching your channel and I have subscribed. We just started working on the edging of our lawn ourselves and aren't sure how to handle the excess dirt. A few months after we moved in (2016) we had a landscaper do the edging and he hauled out the excess dirt. Love the way you explain the process...it is perfection. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!
Now that's what I'm talking about !! My lawnman has no idea of how serious I take my yard especially a good clean defined lawn, after watching this you've inspired me to go buy me a lawnmower and do my own lawn, I've been paying my lawnman for several years and it has never been a REAL clean cut, it makes a huge difference in your yard. Keep up the good work 😊✌🏽
Hey GCI guy your a very good lawn care specialist I have learned a few things from your channel. I do professional lawn care in Lexington KY and manage VERY high end lawns $1million or more value lawn keep up the good work you've inspired me to start my own company thanks again bro
Those pine trees have really grown in since this video. Any vids on ensuring the pine tree does not turn into a brown thin needle mess? Thanks for the endless content - I know its hard to crank these vids out over and over - it is appreciated!
Perfect! I sure wish we had seen your video before we had started. I'll be using your method on my final and biggest garden bed. Thanks for the 'how to'.
Buddy great videos love green grass it absolutely puts me at awe man working on my yard now I’m from Connecticut just left my old house I had great yard now I’m back at square one but this yard is all bank run gravel base that is a new one to me so I’m in experiment mode now lol thanks again for a great video
Awesome presentation brother. Fellow landscaper here. I've noticed the edge re-definer in some other videos but so far your the best example so far. Clear instructions and steady pace make everything you say easier to remember. Keep up the good work and best wishes. Gorgeous lawn BTW
Pete, i appreciate your hard work and wisdom brother. Been binge watching your videos since the lockdown, now im hooked 😂😂!!!! You've inspired me to jump into my yard and get my hands dirty!!! Much love man👍🏽!!
You always have good and insightful positive videos because of you me and one of my best friend picked up the redefiner didn't even know it exists until we watch this video a while ago thank you keep putting out the good content
Nice looking edges. In my area we don't have soil such as you depict, it's mostly hardpan clay and rocks. Edging entails the exact same technique as you demonstrate, but with a lot more expenditure of energy.
I run a small lawn care company up here in Seattle. Rain City Lawn Care. I strive for those clean lines, some of munch customer don't share my passion when I'm showing them the work we did... think I'm some grass obsessed psycho probably. Ha. Anyways, I appreciate your video. You are 100% above board my friend.
We just built a home & new to this whole edging thing but I love how it looks!! We have garden beds with a black tube but it just doesn’t look neat, can I edge an already bordered landscape area? Weed-whacking is great but it doesn’t look as clean as I’d like. Also, edging a driveway & patio. Is it the same concept? I found your videos super helpful over others, but curious what steps to edge those other areas. Thank you!!
Thanks for this video! I really like how you explained things. It was comprehensive without being overly or unnecessarily technical. Would love your opinion on my situation. I live in central Florida and have a shaded front lawn and a very sunny backyard with shaded edges/corners. We have St. Augustine right now but I’d really like to have two different types (1 for front, 1 for back). I am fencing in the front so I’d like something that is super thick and soft for light play for our kids, than for the back I’d like something nice but durable as we have a big dog who loves to run and play. I have redone a lawn before with sod in South FL and learned a lot during that process but this will be my first time seeding. I want to do it myself and am willing to invest the time and effort (and funds) necessary to have what I want. I enjoy maintaining the lawn as well so extra maintenance is not an issue. That being said, as much as I’d love to have Kentucky Bluegrass, I understand my options are probably limited. Any guidance or ideas on what my options are? Thanks!
I just found your channel and I have to say you have great videos 👍 I have been watching LCN for a while but I now have another guy that’ll help educate me. Thanks from Kentucky!
GCI Turf Services Will your blend be ideal for Michigan because it gets really cold in the winter and it can get kind of humid in the summer. Also, do I have to join your academy to purchase your grass seed?????? Thanks
Watched several of your videos... and like your "good'ole boy" common sense experience. Wish you were in Northwest FL...would love to hire you to teach me the tricks :) Thanks for sharing!!
Sweeeeet!! I love a well defined flower bed. Guess I'll test out my new knee replacement and use a shovel. Don't tell my surgeon lol. I'm in catch up mode with my yard but now I'm feeling awesome after 10 weeks postop. I'm subscribing :) I'm going to need your help!!
You and me BOTH, resourcefulgirl!!! I hope you were successful. (Looks like you might have had your replacement done about the same time I did-- end of 2019.) "Never stop moving!"
Hi, great video. I’m new to this and I’m starting a lawn mowing service here in my city of kilkenny in Ireland. Funds are very low and could you recommend what I could use to edge lawns that won’t break the bank. Many thanks.
striper sniper - Yeah. The spades are much easier than an old straight shovel. The first time all around is always the hardest - then it’s just routine maintenance from then on.
Pete, I live in Georgia and my soil is all hard red clay. I have a bermuda sod turf lawn. Any recommendations on cutting out nice and defined edges for my pinestraw beds??
Just subbed to your channel. Love the advice, your explanations, and your humble attitude. I'm up in Connecticut and although my yard isn't too big, I plan on using your products to straight be the boss in my neighborhood! Keep those videos comin'!

Hey man just wanna let you know I really like and dig your channel!!! You have tons of good info your sharing and am really looking forward to your upcoming videos and gaining some knowledge off ya!!! Thanks Pete!!
Nice videos....I definitely need to invest in a redifiner.....I've seen plenty of videos but no one every showed the process of using them. Keep them coming
I too use a hard edger on my beds and not just for crisping up concrete to turf edges. Going to have to look into one of those disc things as they look great for edge maintenance. How do you compare pine needles vs mulch? I usually do a weed and feed sprinkle , stir and "till" mulch beds then throw new mulch down. Also very interested in how you weed the beds as I have them surrounding our house, and will be adding a good mess more this spring!
My wife is sitting next to me and leaned over to see what I was watching when you said “I grab the shaft with my right hand. And point the head straight up and down” 😂😂 Awesome video tho brother. What’s your business name? And what do you specialize in?
Covid19 brought me here. Knowledgeable and professionalism has kept me here.
Yeah I'm definitely going to go out and buy a thingamagig.
You have the kind of landscape I drive by for inspiration.
New homeowner and I just now got the time to do stuff, like this video man!
A true professional that takes pride in his work. Thank you for sharing.

Tight lines & deep. I’m going with bigger pine bark mulch this spring. Just do it the right way with a sod knife & a gooseneck
First time watching your channel and I have subscribed. We just started working on the edging of our lawn ourselves and aren't sure how to handle the excess dirt. Holy moly! Thank you!!! I have always wonder how this was done! My beds drive me nuts but could never get them so pretty looking!
I'm a new homeowner learning how to make my yard pretty. Thanks for the helpful info!
Shovel is what I use in my small yard
And if I hit roots I’ll use a San Angelo digging bar does wonders with roots
It's all about the details, remember that. People may not consume it all but it makes them say "wow that's nice" .Subscribed, filmed nicely
Thank you Pete for all your hard work!

Watching this video while cooling off after trying to do this edging thing. I guess I’ll go back out and try it your way now. Lol. Thanks!

Excellent work - nice & neat work . Thanks
Sir you are a scholar and a gentleman!
Thank you so much... this video has helped me out so much keep doing your thing
Shovel edge job was great. Good for kids who are too young to use a re-edger too
You always have good and insightful positive videos because of you me and one of my best friend picked up the redefiner didn't even know it exists until we watch this video a while ago thank you keep putting out the good content
Love this, helps me in my side jobs
I love your videos. I owe my lawn to you! Thank you sir
Hey just found this video & you just earned another fan....some great step by step lawn care. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Thanks for the great advice, getting the husband psyched up to go out and edge the flowerbeds!
Thank you for sharing, it's very helpful. I'm a lawn care rookie and you have motived me to edge my lawn.
Great video, I’m planning on doing this.
Also, how do I keep the Bermuda out of the beds?
Tu
I did this man it makes the yard pop. Thanks
Nice looking edges. In my area we don't have soil such as you depict, it's mostly hardpan clay and rocks. Edging entails the exact same technique as you demonstrate, but with a lot more expenditure of energy.
That top soil you see was brought in and put around my trees. The rest of the edges are rock hard clay. I used the bed edging machine in those areas

Great job. I really learned a lot. Thank you!
Yes , we use a bed edger. Its a pain to drag up hill, but man it leaves the crispest edges and I love being able to get it done fast...
Your grass is BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you mam
GCI Turf Services what grass type is that?

Hi, great video. I’m new to this and I’m starting a lawn mowing service here in my city of kilkenny in Ireland. Funds are very low and could you recommend what I could use to edge lawns that won’t break the bank. Many thanks.
Looks good. They also make a edging spade just for that,I have one a love it.
striper sniper - Yeah. The spades are much easier than an old straight shovel. The first time all around is always the hardest - then it’s just routine maintenance from then on.
This was SUPER helpful. Thank you! I'll be trying this today!
Very well done video!
