Lets hope the Chiba Lotte Marines would let him go at the end of this year. Apparently the conditions for him to be posted is to complete a season with enough innings pitched to qualify for titles, and potentially win a pitching award. Apparently his physical isn't up to standard for a full workload, so that'll definitely need working before domination happens
Clay Holmes in 15 games: 15 IP, 0.00 ERA, 16 SO, 1 BB, 10 Saves, and a WHIP of 0.93 This man is throwing up some insane numbers so far in his walk year
And of course my fellow Yankees fans wanted him replaced as the closer like 10 games into the season with Hamilton. Like yea Hamilton can be nasty when he's on but he's never been a closer and lately has given me multiple heart attacks including last night where feel like he would have blown the game in the 8th if Boone didn't pull him for Holmes. His WHIP is 1.77 on the season which is the last thing you want for a closer is a guy who on average is allowing two guys on an inning.
@@wilburwood8261 yeah. But im more excited on those 5 that i mentioned coz they are more consistent. Also, not sure if Darvish can still pitch good next year. The man's turning 38 LOL.
Something I haven't seen anyone talk about, which I'd like to see you talk about @Pitching Ninja, is how Yoshinobu CLEARLY looks to the right just before the throws a pitch. He looks AWAY from the catcher DURING his windup, then looks back just before he releases the pitch. It's really something interesting to me, and I'm dumbfounded that it seems no one has noticed this. I'm incredibly curious as to why he might do that. Working on his visualization skills? Kind of 'clearing' his mind just before the pitch? It's very strange.
Ninja, please try and find Erik Miller (SF reliever) vs. Devers from today (5/2). The pitches are wicked. Blows his doors at 100 with arm side run after not getting a strike 3 call on a knee buckling slider.
If Imanaga ends with an ERA under 3.50, even if Yamamoto ends under 3, I'd say the Cubs probably pulled off one of the biggest steals of the past few years easy. Wow. Glad Yamamoto is recovering from the Seoul game but WOW, Imanaga has been so sick
In terms of movement, a sinker, as you would expect, displays greater 'diving' motion. A two seamer should maintain lift just like a four seam, but add arm side run. Two seamers should not dive at all. Honestly a sinker is more akin to a changeup or splitter, just thrown way way harder and with a slightly different grip.
Yamamoto’s Yo-yo curve ball is a kin to Ginoza curve (宜野座カーブ), which is a famous breaking ball among baseball fans of Japan, although few professional players put it in their stuff. It’s a breaking ball that created a whirlwind once in 2001 on 73th national high school invitational baseball tournament.
Munoz started in the Braves system and is on his 4th team but has looked good. His twin Rolddy is still with the Braves and throws easy gas out of the pen. Future closer stuff but just got promoted to AA this week.
Yamamoto and Imanaga have been straight nasty. It's gonna be really fun when Sasaki joins the majors next year, too.
It's over when Sasaki comes into the league. Can't decide between him or Skenes re who I think will dominate more
@@PitchingNinjaVideoswhoever has an arm that lasts wins...

Roki is a dodger
He's going to be a philly because we missed out on Yamamoto. We gave Yamamoto more money than any mlb team@@hoodiewaffles

Damn! I'm so excited for next year. Hoping that Yoshi and Shota stays healthy so we can watch Ohtani, Sasaki, Senga, Yamamoto, and Imanaga :)
dont forget Kikuchi, Maeda, Uwasawa and Fujinami!

Uwasawa of Boston does exactly the same thing
*This is for Will* (He juss don’t get enough love for yinning all Ninja’s yanging.) 🤩🤟
Thank you! All of the Super Thanks $ will go to Will. He's the best!
Wow AJ that is incredibly generous. Thank you very much, and thanks for watchin 🤜🤛
@@will.leahey The sum total greater than its parts. You’re a pisser, Will. 😅🫵👊
When Holmes has his best stuff he is the best closer in the league. Knew you were gonna have him at 1 today. Just filthy yesterday.
I love watching shota😃
adult anime star lol
The royals starting pitching staff has been a very pleasant surprise this season
Especially Seth Lugo. He's lowkey been better than Ragans.
this was gnarly stuff man
Imanaga's stuff😂

Yamamoto Yoshinobu 山本 由伸

Imanaga Shota 今永 昇太
Sherlock Holmes being insane as usual.
chapters please 🙏🏼
7:35 Will's joke was a Major League Movie joke type level there.
You get a 👍 just for the name/avatar. 😅

Bowel-locking slider to “The Big Dumper”. Fantastic! 😂

Mason Miller is letting the other relievers get the spot light xD

what is the difference between a 2 seamer, and a sinker? are they considered different pitches?

@@PlaySA so the sinker has less back spin, and is gripped differently than a 2 seamer on release?
Just nailed your parlay Ninja

Imanaga fastball is so strange. It looks like its rising.
he has one the highest spin rate in MLB and the world
I think it would be really cool if you could cover Trevor Bauer's outings in the Mexico League. Looks like he may be at his best.

I threw this in my yard as a kid. I thought the ball spinning the opposite way was so interesting; I'm surprised to see it as a legitimate pitch 😂
Holmes throws a slider and a sweeper which makes it just a little bit tougher.
Yep--I tweeted an overlay of both of those yesterday. Filthy. x.com/PitchingNinja/status/1785838179750126010
We call it the "snap dragon" curve ball.
I want to see Yamamoto with sticky stuff lol
I don’t even understand how they can calculate a pitcher to have a negative FIP
Next Japanese pitchar you attention to is "Hiroya Miyagi" Orix Buffaloes, same as Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
I’m no doctor…but just trying yo yo a ball like that did not feel good on the ol elbow. Idk how he does that 😂
Has anyone checked if Imanaga is not, in fact, a Naga, mythical beast of legend??? I mean, he's telling us what he is right there with his last name
Hard to see the Red Sox better than 4th in the division. Cmon.
Who gets the credit for, "sword," Trevor Bauer or Pitching Ninja?
Pitching ninja 100 percent.
"I'managa throw that again"

Hi pitching ninja
Hi!
The Braves let Roddery Munoz go, and I wonder if they might wind up regretting that.
That clay overlay is fake. I did the math. You can’t do that on earth.
haha--i agree
