  • This album is dedicated to BOB "THE BEAR" HITE, whose idea it was to record an evening with Canned Heat´s close friends; JOHN LEE HOOKER, and LESTER, GEORGE, WILLIE, and JOE CHAMBERS. The evening turned into a real party, and the audience didn´t leave´til 3:30 AM. Bob´s parting salutation summed it all up from then and for now, "don´t forget to Boogie."

    Thanks for posting. I saw the original Al Wilson heat three times, one of which was a jam session with Big Willie Chambers and Jim Morrison, and after that, Hooker 'n' Heat. Unforgettable stuff.

    For me Wrapped Up is the best cut on this album. It doesn't get much better than The Chambers Brothers singing harmony behind Heat.
    Don't forget to boogie.

      I like wrapped up as well. But, experimental neo-blues boogie song "Nobody but You' is my fave. Anyway it's an album and should be enjoyed as a single unit.

    Отличный альбом замечательной группы, как и все ихнее творчество вызывает восторг у настоящих ценителей такой музыки. Видно, что музыканты любят то что делают. Мало известная на просторах СССР, далеко не все доходило до нас из-за железного занавеса, поэтому очень много хорошей музыки 60-70тых годов можно сейчас услышать благодаря интернету

      John RossStar Sadly he didn't even live to see the original studio Hooker n' Heat released in 1970. On the sleeve photo of that record you can see the remaining band sitting in a hotel room with Hooker, and as a tribute there's a picture of Blind Owl hanging on the hotel room wall.

    • @rosskstar
      @rosskstar 9 лет назад +4

      Right, i know he PLAYED on the original but died before they got the promo picture done. That's why this was confusing.
