So, the Acer Predator PG-20 is Acer's "STEM Authenticated Predator Gaming DIY Kit" - it's a kit Acer released to select retailers and is "designed to help students learn basic concepts of PC design." Basically, it's supposed to be an educational product for STEM classrooms or computer labs. Apparently, it was part of Acer's eSports push into colleges.
That makes alot of sense. I think first-time PC users should buy a kit like this as building computers must be fun.
@@jacobperez8921it is fun especially now that we have so many videos on how to build them. When I started building them in 1985, it was all thick manuals and a lot of luck on the first boot.
@@jacobperez8921 i think more companies should do a build it yourself pcs
@@chucklesdeclown8819 A lego-like kit with all the parts and a booklet on how to assemble!
its seys amd predator🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
$500 with some decent component + tools and safety gears it's an absolute win
I wish I would have seen this earlier... Amazon don't have it anymore. I would have loved to build this.
Whatttt wtf 😭
if I knew it was a DIY, would be thrilled. If I expected a fully assembled system, would be pissed. Gotta give props to how well it was packed and accessorized as a DIY.
diy just seems so freaking satisfying to assemble together, but prebuilt is like boring, you get what you get
WIHA is not a knock off brand, they make some very quality/versatile little screw drivers sets. I'm baffled at the fact those came with that DIY kit for only 500 bucks.
They are real screw drivers and are good quality!
Years ago (around 2002), I bought a PC from Tiger Direct that was a DIY bundle. It was a great deal with parts that were a generation old. I really wish companies still did this.
Tiger Direct used to be AWESOME
@@jandkwhite6459 I much preferred old Tiger Direct to Newegg. Now it seems Tiger Direct is completely dead.
@@jandkwhite6459 Used to be yes.
Microcenter do similar kits, but more up to date. Still decent deals for some though.
@@ObakuZenCenter Except I don't think Microcenter ships. (I know high end GPUs they don't.) I live equidistant to Detroit, Chicago and Indy about 3 hours away so not as accessible as Tiger Direct was.
To me, the best part is that if the seller just advertised it as a "build-it-yourself Gaming PC kit" and listed the actual specs, they'd move a ton of those for $500
Wiha is a damn good brand of screw drivers. Definitely not cheap pricing or cheap quality. That’s super surprising. This whole video was a gigantic surprise. Lmao.
Pretty shocked when I saw that. Professional quality tools in some random BIY PC kit.
I would be pissed if i got a 2060 super instead of a 6700xt, other than that it's not bad
It also said it came with windows 10 pro and a 1tb standard hard drive and it didn't I would be pissed 😂
pc bros are always bringing the best deals to light! thanks guys🙏🏽
lol best deals? They are ALWAYS gone by the time the video is posted.
This is an amazing deal for 500. But of course it's now unavailable because obviously someone messed up
yo what’s the best pc you would buy for $500 help me
@@TopFloorRestorethey have a 500 build check it out I actually have the same one runs good any game
@@TopFloorRestorelook up
@@TopFloorRestore used parts. 8th or 9th gen intel cpu and mobo. Or Ryzen 5 3600 and a b450 mobo if you want new. A gtx 1070ti is still relevant at 1080p. Ddr4 ram is dirt cheap. Thermalright cpu cooler for like $20. 600 watt psu. Just DONT GET A JUNK psu! $70 should get a pretty good one. This is all imo anyway
@@TopFloorRestore that is if you build it yourself. I build a lot of pcs. Just don't have a channel lol
also thats a slick looking build!!!! colors are well thought out!
your videos are the best. I cant believe that I have been subscribed for TWO years keep up the good work.
I recently got that exact motherboard off ebay for 25 bucks including tax and shipping and it was only missing the fan and cover for the southbridge heatsink. Couple bucks for a 40mm fan I could mod to fit on the heatsink and it works great. Used it to upgrade my htpc. That cooler is a hyper 212 rgb black edition. I used to have that in my main pc until I upgraded it to a thermalright peerless assassin.
That 120SE is the way to go
@@jamaicankyng hell yeah. I got it for like 35 bucks or something on Amazon. Was cheaper than the hyper 212 when I bought it like 4 years ago, and the 212 is MORE expensive now than it was then.
I would love to see a video of a dedicated budget 4k video editing workstation. Maybe even a God tear one to compare it to..
There are videos out on RUclips of others building these types of Rigs but they are all over a year or more old and the land scape of computer hardware has changed so much since then. And along with it.. ever rising inflation.
Really like your videos. They definitely helped me find and prioritize my budget for my gaming rig I built in early 2023.
This reminds me of the Nvida Barebone PC from back in the day. Although it had the MB and CPU already installed.
wera is pronounced vera. Wiha is pronounced as it is spelled. Both are high end tools. The fact that they included one of the best screwdrivers money can buy is crazy.
LTT's screwdriver is better lol.
@@jacobperez8921 LTT screwdriver didn't exist when this bundle was made
@@jacobperez8921 no.. its not. wiha is TOP dollar professional grade tools. its actually beyond mental that they came included. google it. mental.
i'm seeing that exact build selling for $1500 now on a few different sites.
I bought one of those coolers years ago. Its called hyper 212x RGB or something like that. It had a controller which had to remain in the case as it was wired, instead of the wireless remote controls you get today. Was annoying to setup the rgb because i had to open the case to change colours.
Idk if toastybros already have another channel or stream, bit they should totally start posting more gameplay. It always surprises me how well they are in games??
I work as an electrician and we use some of those Whia screwdrivers, a few of our supply houses sell them.
I think every kid should have to put his computer together like that. For one it would give them the knowledge and they would appreciate it more.
Amazing deal, so amazing you guys sold it out :D GG great vid as usual :)
I started to salivate as soon as you found out you would need to put it together lol very impressed with how it was packaged.
It's actually really good deal! And even better for someone who enjoy building PC on their own.
That's actually awsome I would love to get a pre packaged build your own pc kit for the kids and nephews. Do you have the link for this?
U guys need to do a review on a pc from ZTT
that's pretty cool, actually. I'd like to see more stuff like this where you can just buy everything together at a nice low price.
I have that exact case... built out 2 of these cases in 2020.
I would be incredibly CONFUSED but extremely excited to build this. If I ever received this kind of package, what an unexpected surprise.
This is almost the exact same specs my first build that i made on my own had.
This is really cool, and a steal for the price too.
I’d love to get that and have to build it, but I do love building computers.
If anyone got this for $500, you got a steal! I cant find the Acer Predator PG-20 for less than $1,399. It's sold out every place I checked.
Although I'm not a fan of the processor, I think it's a great deal/scam. I wish I got scammed like that one day. I feel like this was a free upgrade, and new parts! Lucky
You beat me to this type of comment!😂😂😂😂
So apparently they didn't get that windows key they were trying to promote XD
So that cooler is the Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition, I put it in a friend's build about 3 years ago
this would actually be the perfect Christmas present for pc building enthusiasts 😅
Real questions, where you pick up that sweet bulbasaur sweater? I have a charmander hoodie but I’m digging the bulba more.
not a bad deal for $500
That looks like a quality DIY kit, but it would be an unpleasant surprise for some.
shame its not still listed i can totally see a profit in selling the individual parts.
on your website for selling pcs do they come prebuilt or do i gotta put it together myself
That would be the most convenient way for a person who wants to build their own PC that I have ever seen.
Only downside I can see would be lack of particular parts. You would kind of be stuck with one maybe 2 brands. I would love to be able to order everything I need for a build from one place at a decent price, then combing the Web for the best price and buying from 12 different companies. Lol
Not really. You are stuck with their choice of CPU, GPU etc ... instead of choosing it on your own. Only if they offer a discount this would be acceptable.
ARGH! I wish I had run into this deal! They are selling for $1,500+
How did you guys change the lights and make them all the same color?
Love from South Africa 🇿🇦
Love the lzmfg sweater 👌👌
This is one hell of a deal!!
Wera and Wiha are very nice tools. Bith are German and probably comparable to Gearwrench or Tekton. Keep them they are very nice tools.
Can you tell me what graphic card works best for Dell old I5 computer
I wanted to see the fans in the front they look extremely huge !
Went to buy this kit, but no longer available. I’d be thrilled to get scammed like this.
dont know if it was removed. or your viewers purchased them all. but its not available the day after this was uploaded.
Making this video made them shut down the listing lmao
When I saw the low temps and the low usages numbers in the benchmark when they were playing Fornite, I was like woah not bad at all. FPS was decent too. I have the same personal build cept with a RTX3060 and maybe faster ram. Great video guys!😎😎
Question: can a dell optiplex with i5 or i7 6500/6700 - 8500/8700 with 32 gb ram and a gtx 1650 be enough to: do photoshop, after effects, light premier, front end developing and electric/electronic circuit simulation? I am a engineer student with a tight budget
What was the ram speed? Was it a expo kit?
You guys actually kinda sold me on this. They literally included everything you need except a monitor and at a price that these days is a bargain. This would be great if it was marketed as a DIY setup for builders.
Wiha is a name brand I know from maintenance guys at my work. They sell a 100$ set of Allen wrenches
So you said this PC would be for sale. Where is the link for this or any other PC that you have tried out and made a RUclips video about. Because I do not see them on your website.
Can you guys review the Serpent Plus computer from Clutch Computers
That is an excellent build! I can’t believe the quality of this kit, why go through the trouble of researching a build when all you need to do is assemble a high quality kit for probably less money than if you bought it yourself.
This is an unusual unboxing way to build a computer.
Wiha is a name brand screwdriver. I see these tools all the time on Zoro and Grainger.
"Wiha" is another German brand on par with Wera, I own both, both great companies.
THATS SICK AS!! I love it haha
Hi I'm new pc gaming I'm looking at building a pc and was wondering if you guys could give me some advice about specs without going to crazy
Are there anymore of these available to buy????
what is that game mode called is it quick play?
Rocking the LZ merch noice
That's actually a good deal, but the listing is now unavailable so I suspect some shenanigans
Guys what should i buy gigabyte or zotac in 4070 gpu ?? Any suggestion
What mouse were you using
Is there any you would recommend?
Really wish these companies would stop bundling peripherals in general. Such a waste of money if the end user doesn’t want or need it.
For $400 sticker price no peripherals and not including shipping that would still be worth it. $500 heck no.
i agree if it was just an addon option you pay extra to bundle them not just force customers to have them at higher costs it would be fine
But why did amazon type 6700XT and they sent 2060 super? Its weird
currently unavailable on amazon, guess they got smart and pulled it, too bad :(
Nice video but why are you not wearing ESD straps to ground so you do not generate spark to blow chips on boards. Clothing can store anywhere from 500 to 2,500 Volts which is enough to destroys chips on the boards you pickled up. I worked in a circuit board manufacture for 20 years as quality. and this is the most risk to control ESD
those are nice screw drivers. grats !
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE tell me the music that plays at 11:47
After this video was posted that pc packing was pulled off Amazon completely
sucks i saw this so late. could use that upgrade from r5 2500 and rx590
It may be a few gens old but the 3700x is still a beast of a cpu
Acer Build it yourself is kind of cool at least for me lol!
so apart from it not exactly being a pre build you got what you technically paid for apart from not getting the GPU that was advertised i would just message them saying there was no 6700xt in the box and ask for a replacement
More then likely, they sent you the wrong PC.
Yes Acer computer built predator series gaming laptop and PC usually 10k price tag
I still want the Acer X21 ultrawide laptop, i'd give my 2k PC from 2024 for one.
Cooler is a cooler master hyper 212 rgb black edition I have the same one
I went to your web sight trying to find the error same GAMING PC I cannot find it please help you got me very interested to buy it also not on your listing catalog hmmmmmmm
I mean for $500 its not a bad deal for a mid-range gaming OC.
Can someone please put a link to this pc
I would hate to get parts after paying for a build
During the promotion of the keyboard did the advertising guy say Gigabyte instead of gigahertz 😂
I'm using the same cooler master case on my main pc
That would be a total bummer if you thought you were buying a pre-built and this arrived... Luckily you guys have a little experience in building these things LoL 😆. It looks like a good started PC and at least its upgradeable to some extent.
can you tes tHP ProDesk Desktop RGB Lights Computer Intel Core i5 4570 3.2 GHz 8GB RAM 256GB SSD Win 10 Pro WiFi, Gaming PC Keyboard, Mouse(Renewed)
Looks FUN though.
😊😊☝☝ that seem like a nice deal lots of parts for 500 bux the pc looks great i would keepit
Everytime you review a PC I go to listing on the same day, and its either unavailable or gone.
because there full of it they dont come across deals there affiliate links plus watching a few vids they dont seem to know how to build
