My dog suffers from trauma too. (3:09) Abused by her previous owner, adopted by my grandmother who loved and cared for that dog for the rest of her life. When she passed on, we adopted her again and she is doing so much better now! If your dog suffers from trauma, just treat them with respect. It sounds kind of strange, but leaving your dog alone when they want to be left alone or not petting them when they don't want to be pet is beneficial and crucial to having a loving relationship with your dog! :)
