- MC Talib Kweli with smooth jazz keyboardist pioneer Bob James. Giveton Gelin on trumpet. Rakim also appeared at this epic jazz/hip hop fusion night, with special guests. Talib’s band The Whiskey Boys backed: Brady Watt, bass; Chris Rob, keys; Matthias Loescher, guitar; and Camau Bernstine, drums.
So dope ! Who else came from the tiny desk?
This is so dope , the simple fact that Bob James was not really open to Hip Hop sampling his Joints . He did several interviews where he said he didn’t even know that some of the most dopest Hip Hop sings used his samples . To see him embrace the Hop Hop culture just a Lil bit is dope . Because we damn embraced his music
Bob knows what Hip Hop has done for his relevance and he's making bank off his status and sampled material.
Get that money Bob, you earned it.
Yes! We embrace and love that man for sure.
No, he's not

It wasn’t as much as he wasn’t in to it he wasn’t getting credited/paid nor did most of them seek his permission to use his music. 😅
@@larryiscreating Part true but I saw an interview with him a few years back , he said he never listened to Rap music and was surprised at how many artists used his music .
All i need now is Rae and Ghost to jump on stage and leave earth on this🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah bro...Rae/Ghost would had just be beyond words..no disrespect to Qwali...Because Qwali is definitely a dope MC in his own lane...but Ghost and Rae made this song so damn dope!
Amazing to believe that one beautiful song gave birth to so many others.
We salute you sir Bob 🚀
Bob James said i could nt beat em on samplin me , I might as well join em .
Absolutely a freaking treat! Thank you! :)

Awesome Collaboration of music Duke Ellington said there are only two types of Music Good and Bad Period nothing to do with Genre or type
Bob James is your favorite producer’s favorite musician
He really is. I went to see him and the man didn't reach to piano and I had a full-on panic attack and had to leave for the start of the show
Ghostface should’ve been here.
Talib kick the mic
oh
Drummer needs to stop playing games and play the fxxkin beat. Destroyed the song. Straight to jail
Y'all need to checkout Bob James old CD title: JOYRIDE.
Also checkout the song he done with Paul Brown title:BACK STAGE PASS.
