I have a feeling that Jean Simmons wasn’t a big cheater. I think he felt it important that his image portrayed that he was a lover of women and women loved him. And as he got older I think it was harder for him to let go of that image.

I'm presently 61, have never been married a day in my life yet I'm in a committed relationship with the same woman for 33 years. A commitment is a promise. It doesn't require pomp, circumstance, pageantry or ceremony. Does one require these things to commit to paying your bills in full and on time every month? Absolutely not. Ceremony does not have the capacity to guarantee anything.
It doesn't guarantee there will never be any substance abuse, child abuse or spousal abuse within. It does not guarantee you will be financially capable or responsible, nor does it guarantee you will never lie, cheat, steal, covet thy neighbor's spouse, rape, murder or any other conceivable 'sin' you can toss into the pot.
It's one of five divine establishment by God. Individual freedom, family marriage, nations government. All are under attack.

@@Lighthousepreserve My freedoms are still intact. Congress enacts roughly 300 laws every two years. Arguably we have tens of thousands of laws in the books. I'm not upset I can't do 75 in a 25. I also won't waste my time with nit picking every law to pieces just to hear myself complain.

I agree. I think it was the generation he grew up in because my grandfather was the same way. For some people actions speak louder than words, so marrying her (as well as saying he doesn't want to lose her) is a way a of showing that.

Being a fan of both Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed I say this with love...but ....I think their past reactions (the fights, walkouts etc) to each other are real...and still I feel like these are two bickering kids who never grew up and just got stuck playing the high school stars that just weren't ready for the money fame and publicity that comes with each of their careers...hopefully this doesn't translate into how their kids grew up...and still I wish them the best

Watching the last video where she walked off shows exactly what she really thinks and nothing has changed other than she’s probably taking a Xanax to deal with his ass. Everyone knows she could have left him years ago when she said she was “sick of it”. You don’t get to see what goes on behind the cameras, these interviews just give it away to easily how she feels. She controls her and talks to her like a dog. I bet you if he didn’t have that money, she wouldn’t be there. Either that or she would have married him years ago for who he really is and not just hanging around pretending she loves him. He is emotionally detached from everyone, including his children because he is conceded, full of pride to the point it destroys relationships, self centered, self consumed, huge ego, all about me attitude, since of entitlement, grandeous beliefs about himself that is totally unrealistic and untrue, judgemental and critical of others, a know it all, and so on. Gene thinks he is a much better person and more intelligent than anybody, especially the common man. He is so self absorbed and consumed with his self that it affects all areas of his life.

Hey....she pressured him....marriage is a progression in a relationship....but, she was really cutting and rude to Gene on the previous show....I would have been ripping mad and maybe unforgiving, certainly not looking for more of that.
