Malahite or Malachite SDR V5 - AM Net

  • This is the Malachite V5 1.01d receiver being used during the "Old Friends Net" on 75 meters. Mode is SAM or synchronous AM. This is the first use of the receiver and there are lots of adjustments, one being the AGC threshold which I later changed. Performance has been amazing so far.

    The front positioned buttons is for jenious Russian dsp receivers to recognize with the first look, the overall uality is the second characteristic.

    Is this a genuine Russian unit or one of Chinese clones?

      Malachites are Chinese and Malahites are Russian. Note the "C" added to Malahite.

      I beg to differ. The Russian designer and seller refers to his SDR as Malachite (МАЛАХИТ). The only means to buy one is directly from him via email contact. He has no sales website.
      All other similar radios are Chinese clones no matter what selling platform or statements by the seller. There are no authorized resellers currently.
