After visiting every Cedar Fair park, I have decided to rank all Cedar Fair parks based on their rides, roller coasters, theming, food, atmosphere, operations, and much more.

Bravo naming Cedar Point and Kings island top 2. Next year I plan on making them plus Holiday World and Ky Kingdom in a 4 day experience.
My 1st roller-coaster at Kings island was Screamin Demon and my 1st drop ride was at Cedar Point Demon Drop. Both of them I was 6 years old was before height requirement.
Another good video topic is when did they put in height requirements. You know something had to have happened.
Great analysis. As someone who lives in Columbus Ohio right between cedar point and kings island, I also agree kings island is superior overall. If someone hasn’t been to either and then goes to both parks, I’m sure they’d prefer cedar point because of the rides. The more you go to both however the more things beyond the rides themselves stand out such as operations, ride reliability, and how much you’re able to do in a day. I say kings island became my favorite around 2019 between the 2, and has stayed at the top since then.
It’s cool to live between the two, thanks for your thoughts!
I also am in Columbus! I would rather go to kings island rather tha. Cedar Point any day
Also, i hate where cedar point is located for the rides that they have. It's absolutely beautiful up there, don't get me wrong. But if there's a strong fart in the wind, half of the coasters go down
@@kellykredel2531 I know it is so frustrating.
I left Kings Island early because it was boring compared to CP.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Dorney in the near future. Thunderhawk is almost 100 years old, and if Dorney puts some millennium flyers on it that would be great. Dorney is also supposed to be receiving a B&M mini dive where stinger used to be, which will be great, but I also think a modern woodie like mystic timber’s would be amazing at the park, because not only would it balance out thunder hawk a bit, but it would also fit perfectly. I also think a full circuit launched coaster would be great at the park but that seems a little less plausible, but also imagine a Mack multi launch similar to copperhead strike here at Dorney, that is a big ask considering how expensive that would be, plus, we are already about to receive the biggest investment in the parks history within the next year, but let me dream a little.
I’m hoping for a strong future for this park.
Stinger is staying for now, the Mini Dive not take up and of Stinger's space
@@BushwackerinpaYou know stinger was removed like 5 years ago, right?
@@nesmanmain0001 I misspoke I meant possessed
@@Bushwackerinpa Ah okay! Makes more sense. Personally, I love possessed so I'm glad they were able to make the dive work without removing possessed
the well thought out rankings nearly sold me on the top 5 parks. i hope to visit them all at some point!
Awesome! I think you’ll love the parks.
Yes kings island is underrated 😊
It’s amazing.
CP my home park and I visit at least a dozen times a year and love it! KI my favorite though!
Totally fair! I love them both as well.
Kings Island is a further drive than Cedar Point for me, but I still go to KI more often. Every time I've gone, whether it's opening weekend or a rainy, dead Tuesday, I've had an amazing time. Opening weekend was very efficient and they were eating through the crowds, especially on Orion. The entertainment is really fantastic, too. Phantom Theater and the firework show are stellar.
And when it's a bit rainy, it's like you have the entire park to yourself. My best day there, I did Orion x6, MT and Beast both x2 in a row, Diamondback x4, FOF, Adventure Express x3, The Bat x2, Backlot x2, Banshee x2, Woodstock Express, Delirium x4, drop tower, both water rides, entire loop on the train, Boo Blasters. Plus a few shows mixed in there. All in one fricking day. Like where else can you find ops that efficient
A rainy day at Kings Island is unbeatable.
@@ThemeParkAvenue Rain but no lightning is perfect imo. Rain keeps the crowds and temperatures down, and can provide an awesome added experience on some rides, especially the Beast and Banshee. Lightning, though, shuts down the rides.
@@TheRealPSKilla502 Oh this is my exact thoughts. No storms but slight drizzle days at kings island are the best. It seems like everyone leaves and you get the whole park to yourself. Beast at night in the pouring down rain kinda hurts though lol
I’ve only been to Carowinds but it’s a very nice park. Coaster lineup after the top 4 isn’t that great but the park atmosphere was wonderful. Super clean and nice looking everywhere.
Absolutely, there is a ton to enjoy in the park.
If you had gotten to ride Yukon Striker & Scooby's Racing Railway, Wonderland would have definitely made #3, Lol! Yukon Striker is sick, and when you finally get to ride it, you will love it!! 🤩
There is mixed feedback on the new Tundra Twister, but I can't say, cause its on my "Hell NO!" list!! 😂
I would love to ride Yukon Striker, I've ridden similar rides and love them.
Thanks for the list and content. I personally like theme parks more than amusement parks, so I would put Knotts Berry Farm higher. I also think the ride lineup is stronger at Cedar Point than Kings Island. Maybe with Dragster closed though right now, that makes it a little closer at the moment. But the location on the lake and the backdrop still would push Cedar Point at #1 for me even with Dragster closed.
I’m always happy to provide content for you guys.
Well put. Even not being a theme park, Cedar Point has a better distinction between it's themed areas then most theme parks. You know exactly which theme you are experiencing at all times. I took a newb to King's Island this past week and he didn't even know there were themed areas except one area was themed to pole barns (area something or other). The Beast is exceptionally unique, but CP's collection trounces the rest of the line-up. KI has a better mine train and arrow suspended. KI has better atmosphere at night, CP is superior the entire day with it's location and better layout.
@@restlessbohemian26 Yeah the back drop and setting on the lake is just so spectacular that if its even close, I think that pushes Cedar Point ahead. That said, it is not that close as Cedar Point has a much better overall rollercoaster lineup. Kings Island has many good rides but Cedar Point has 2 of the best rides out there in Maverick and Steel Vengeance and Top Thrill 2 is on deck. No world class coasters at KI, just several good ones.
I'm going to say I don't mind you put my home park at the bottom but I have to say that thunderhawk is not a bad vekoma SLC it's only bad if your super tall, ye I know it's rough but what did you expect from a leg dangling ride. And also michigans adventure isn't a bad park,
It may not be the best for a thrill seeker but if you want to go and have a fun time michigans adventure isn't bad.
Cedar Point Is Not The Best Cedar Fair Park Anymore In My Opinion Because Top Thirrl Drager Is Now Closed And Same With Wicked Twister
It is a shame that we lost those two rides.
the top thrill dragster is coming back? re imagining it
Kings Dominion is basically Kings Island sister they both have similar rides like Flight of Fear and the Backlot coaster and Racer 75 and the effiel tower too
They are sister parks, but Cedar Fair ownership has changed them.
I low key love boomerangs, if I’m a little tuned up, they’re one of the only rides out there to get me to almost grey out, Hershey is my home park and jolly rancher remix is the only ride there to give me the pinhole vision sensation, sometimes 😂 I’ve ridden i305 a dozen times and only greyed out for real like once or twice out of those dozen
I agree! KI is my favorite Cedarfair park! (but I havent been to all of them)
Awesome!
U never been to Dorney park if u saying demon drop, which came from cedar point worth it lol that ride weak as hell
Your commentary has really improved over time. Fantastic on both channels. Great list and having been to each of Cedar Fair’s parks, I more or less agree with everything 👏🏻
Thank you so much, Marc. I feel like this video is the culmination of my years of talking about roller coasters and I’m super proud of it. I’m really glad you enjoyed this one.
Great review, I’ve been to most of cedar fairs parks (notably haven’t been to either in California yet) and grew up on cedar point/kings island. Only thing that I feel deserved to be mentioned was cedar point’s skyline, absolutely outstanding and unparalleled by any other park due to both the quantity/quality of coasters and the view from the causeway on the lake.
That's true. I didn't mention it in the video but I do agree that Cedar Point has easily the best skyline of any Cedar Fair park and maybe any park.
Knotts berry farm is the best one you have to go 😊
I feel like after several years when CW clears its older rides and builds some new stuff, it can easily be the best park in the chain.
That's certainly possible.
Canadas Wonderland is about to get another massive addition or maybe even two (being rumoured) to it's coaster lineup!!! It's an amazing park but too damn crowded. The Toronto market needs a strong competitor to spread out the crowds a bit and create a competition for world class rides and coasters like how Kings Island and Cedar Park go toe to toe to out do one another.
I’m very excited to see how Canada’s Wonderland changes in the near future.
oh my goodness! finally someone who agrees that Minebuster isn't rough! It really is such an underrated woodie.
I thought I was the only one.
Great list! I would rank Cedar Point above Kings Island. The operations on the 2 days we went last month was fantastic.
Other than that….Yes! Yes! Yes! Millennium Force is my #1 of all my coasters. I don’t love the seat belts and how tight they are, but the ride itself is great. And Magnum XL is hit or miss depending on where you sit. The front almost chopped my legs off. The back 2 rows were fantastic, especially when they turned the trim brakes off.
Those are all totally fair thoughts, Cedar Point is extraordinary.
Kings island and cedar point are the two best
Yeah, they are supreme.
@@ThemeParkAvenue then I’m gonna have say kings dominion 3 they are arguably the best 1 and 2 combo with i305 and twisted Timbers i305 is the best giga
Here’s my ranking
11,Michigan’s Adventure
10:Valley Fair
9:Worlds of Fun
8:Dorney Park
7:Californias Great America
6:Kings Dominion
5:Canadas Wonderland
4:Knot’s Berry Farm
3:Carowinds
2:Kings Island
1:Cedar Point
Nice ranking.
I appreciate your honest opinions about rides. That being said I must push back at your opinion of Mystic Timbers being better than El Toro. If El Toro only had the first drop and 2 camelbacks at the beginning, that by itself will be better than Mystic Timbers. Don't get me wrong, I have Mystic in my top 5 rides at Kings Island, but it doesen't compare to the ride that I recently got 15 rides on in one day!
That’s totally fair, I just love Mystic Timbers.
Having been to #1 and #2 more times than I can count, I am happy to see that others are FINALLY seeing the flaws at Cedar Point. True, they have a great collection, but you better hope and pray that the temperature and wind conditions will be good otherwise Michigan Adventure will have a better coaster experience for you. King’s Island has been my favorite of the bunch for years because it is a much more enjoyable experience. Also, they have the best in North America if not the world night rides.
I miss the days where Cedar Point was flawless for me, but that just isn’t always the case anymore.
Plus, there are a lot more pathway shortcuts at Kings Island. I love Cedar Point, but one of its only weak spots for me is the park's path layout
Valleyfair is my new home park. I genuinely prefer it over carowinds because it just feels more "homey" i guess. Yeah, no ride at Valleyfair is better than Carowinds top 4, but after 25 years at Carowinds, I just feel more at home there.
I feel a homey vibe in Carowinds as well, but that’s understandable.
I'm going to cedar point for the 1st time next weekend. I'm so excited and Hella nervous.
I hope you have fun.
it’s the best place ever!!!
Trust me, You will have The Time of your Life at Cedar Point
We went in June for the first time and had so much fun! We are going back in August!
@@nolangrimes736 awesome!
Not gonna lie as someone as Wonderland as their home park a few things he said really scared me.
1. Wildebeast will never get RMCed it's way to short and has a boring layout it would be a waste
2. Mine Buster IS ROUGH in my mind not the roughest out there but it is rough and if the park would rmc a coaster it would be this one
3. Wonder's Mountain Guardian is considered by all as a coaster
4. The contreversial one is Thunder Run not everyone considers this a coasters and I respect that
I don’t understand how these things scare you but thanks for your comment.
Worlds of fun needs there biggest coaster yet! It’s one or two big thrill rides away
It really is.
Mighty Canadian Minebuster was running very rough in May 2023! Worse than Wilde Beast in my opinion. It definitely lives up to its 'Spinebuster' nickname.
That is a clever nickname, I’ve always approved of that since it is pretty funny.
One of the great parts about Kings Island, is that when you have fast lane, you never see a line in front of you. Ive been there on the busiest weekend days, and walked on every ride i wanted to.
That does sound great.
@@ThemeParkAvenue About 1,000 times better than the way they do it at CP. Hell, some of the fast lanes at CP dump you in the regular line about 15-20 mins before you ride. (Looking at you Millie, and SV, and Gatekeeper) Every coaster at KI goes straight up to the platform, and as soon as you walk up, no matter how busy the ride is, you get on. I've seen Diamondbacks queue almost completely full, and no one in the fast lane line. And it's not like KI don't have tons of people with fast lane on each day either.
ANACONDA BEING GOOD!? Dude your entire opinion on KD is ass backwards compared to the general consensus. We have been BEGGING them to remove or replace Anaconda. It's so rough and loves to smash your skull into the shoulder restraints.
I know you have. I don’t build my opinions off of the general consensus.
@@ThemeParkAvenue Fair but even with personal opinion and a LOT of rides on Anaconda I just cant agree. It would be good if they smoothed out the corkscrews to not be so violent, layout is great and it could be amazing but, it either needs love or needs gone.
@@ThemeParkAvenue Since, Anaconda was my first ever steel coaster, it holds a place in my heart too which is unfortunate given my bad experiences on it. I suppose it also dosent help if your just the right height the brain bashing is worse, for me my temples are what hit the restraints making it 100x worse.
Great video! This video was very well made. I really enjoyed watching this. It surprised me from what you were saying that you didn't like Voyage more compared to Ghost Rider and Mystic Timbers. I agree that KI is the best Cedar Fair park but it's easily the closest one to me so it's easy for me to think that.
Thanks, man. Voyage is close to them and might beat those rides, it’s just very different.
@@ThemeParkAvenue You're welcome! Ok, I see!
If Kings Island doesn’t top the list I will be very upset
You’ll just have to see.
Cedar Point ?
@@michael7054 FUCK cedar point
cedar point tho is the best
It does not
Silly to rank Michigan's Adventure last. Arguably the best and most popular water park in the chain, great selection of family rides, world class wooden coasters, and to top it all off, it is still the most profitable park in the entire chain. Criminally underrated park, and is superior to Cedar Point in many ways.
Well I’m happy you enjoy it a lot. Not many have the same experience but it’s good that you do.
I havent been to all the Cedar Fair parks. Ive only been to Dorney, Cedar Point, and Kings Island.
I do agree with your placement on Cedar Point and Kings Island. Cedar Point use to be my favorite park. However, when i went to Kings Island for the first time this year......I just had a much more enjoyable experience. I was at Cedar Point this year as well. Kings Island is just a better park. Kings Island has a solid lineup as well. Its weird to me because Millenium and Steel Vengeance are in my top 10 as well and they're at the same park.
It is interesting, those two parks have very different strengths and weaknesses.
Knott's would be top 3 if it had better operations
It really probably would.
Wait did they get rid of the holding brake on Possessed? It use to have it when I was there about 3 years ago....?????
They did.

CF buying KI was the best thing for that dying park and yes it was slowly doing just that. CF is out of room. You can only reimagin so much on the peninsula. KI on the other hand has a lot of undeveloped and redevelopment land to work with. CF has already turned that park around and because of the skies the limit room they now have to work with it will eventually become the new flagship park.
No need to explain; the last time Cedar Point was better than Kings Island was 2019. Also: Blue Streak is 65, not 60. I ought to know, since I only visited Cedar Point in 2018 when it was 60 and SteVe was new.
My ranking based on the parks I've visited:
1. ValleyFair
The same list is applicable to all theme parks, not just Cedar Fair. I don't travel much lol. But dont get me wrong, my ValleyFair experiences have been great overall; from going there with my school marching band to play through the park to the time when when red lightning struck a ride 200 feet from where I was playing in the flooded carnival area and the teenaged enployees didnt know what to do to keep us alive. 10/10, if you are from Minnesota and dont have the time or money to go elswhere, definitely make the trip :)
Valleyfair is a really nice park.
Ki is my favorite out of all parks. It is my home park
That’s a good home park to have.
The only time I remember multiple coasters at Kings Island being down for most of a day when I went was for rain, which isn't something the park can control (duh). I think Cedar Point having more cutting edge prototype rides (Millennium Force, Maverick, Steel Vengeance, TTD (which was down all the time before it was closed)) makes it harder for them to keep them up and running. Most of Kings Island's rides are not only of reliable models, but are later, more established versions (Banshee is the newest invert in America, Orion and Diamondback are much newer hyper/ gigas from B&M, even the Bat and Adventure Express are some of the newest of their ride models from Arrow). So they have a lot of the kinks worked out to run more reliably than at other parks.
Also Canada's Wonderland should take out Flight Deck and Time Warp, recycle the metal, and put in the world's tallest B&M invert. They're right next to each other and both have terrible capacity, along with being atrocious themselves.
I did once have a rainy day at Kings Dominion, but my most recent visit did have favorable weather.
28:44 its been closed for 1 year and a month or two....
Yeah I figured it was still down but I didn’t know for sure.
imo steel and maverick alone make point number 1 and i dont think its close i live 30 minutes from ki and it has a better atmosphere and crews but steel vengence is my favorite ride with maverick on my 2nd which alone beats kings islands whole roster including orion plus mili is very similar to orion and top thrill and even gatekeeper beats kis 3rd best ride with banshee while gatekeeper is like the 5th best plus the lake and the hotels make cedar better
I went to Kings Island my 4th time and I went on Thursday of last week granted I had fast passes but it was still not that busy by far the best day to go is a week day bc most people are at work or just have important things to take care of but what I’m saying the best time to go to one of the parks is a week day don’t know about California I only went to Kings Island and Cedar Point those are the only
Two cedar fair parks I went to so idk what day is best for those but for the two I went is by far a week day
Only in Ohio they have the best rides
So true.
I should get to King's Island before the end of summer(it's probably been a decade since I've been there), so I'm glad to see it at the top of your rankings. The only other cedar fair park I've been to is Worlds of Fun, that was the same week Zambezi Zinger opened. I enjoyed it but have to agree overall the operations were the worst part of the park. Zambezi, Mamba and Prowler all went down at some point while I was there, and I only got there after 4pm. One small thing I liked is that the music changed to fit each themed area of the park which I think is a nice touch.
The music is pretty nice, though I did go during a time where a lot of the loudest music was being performed and not really my thing.
Best Arrow left is Canyon Blaster at Adventuresome in Circus Circus Las Vegas. No trims and a feeling of we are all gonna die lol.
Nice ranking.
Thank you!
It’s crazy because you really have paramount to thank for most of the rides at kings island. Cedar fair has added some good coasters but most of that was already there as with some other parks. I really miss the Nickelodeon days of the kids park.
That’s fair.
Oh man, perfect analysis, especially on the Top 2. While Cedar Point has one of the best coasters, I feel as if Kings Island is a little more eclectic. If you do a weekend of Cedar Point, plus KI, you'll get a little bit of everything, like a great firework kit you buy on the 4th. I could tell you were passionate about the vid and it shows. Well done man!
Thank you so much!
27:51 Knott's was already a theme park before Disneyland even opened. Yes, they have to keep up with them, But competing with other parks is not Knott's motive of their theming.
That’s fair, I was mainly just trying to note the main different between Knott’s and other Cedar Fair parks.
Knott's Scary Farm put this park at #3 out of all the parks I've ever visited. They did it first and they still do it best. The park is small enough that they can transform it in entirety instead of just sections.
Yay! Our home park wins! We are very blessed to have such a great park so close (not giving spoilers)
Yeah it must be cool to live in Muskegon, Michigan.
@@ThemeParkAvenue lol we do want to visit Michigan's Adventure this year though atleast once
I live about 20 minutes away from the winning park, and that's been my home since I was born! I'm so happy to see it being #1! It's so cool that people travel so far to go to this park and I often go up for dinner and a ride on the longest wooden coaster. There's been a tradition with going to waffle house after a Saturday night trip since I was 10
I have been to Cedar Point Park 2 times my last visit was 2001, the year of the millennium force opened! Cedar Point Park is my all time favorite thrill park!😃
It’s a spectacular place.
Dorney park is my home park and when you said that Thunderhawk was smooth, I was shocked because it is the roughest coaster I have ever ridden. I rode it and got a terrible headache.
Interesting. Maybe I got lucky. When did you last ride it?
Rode thunder hawk on July 22 and was rough but enjoyable not like roar rough but yea still rough

@@ThemeParkAvenue great video btw. I really enjoyed that. And I must say , I truly was not expecting KI to be #1. I thought Cedar Point for sure. It was nice to see that.
@@handbaghound I really appreciate that. It was a tough call for number one, but Kings Island has proven to be a phenomenal park in recent years.
King’s Island better than Cedar Point?! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 You beclowned yourself. That said, well done video. Great job!
Thanks! I know it’s a divisive take, but for now I’ll leave it as is.
Nice to see my regional Cedar Fair park in #6. Not bad I suppose.
It’s a very good park, just not necessarily one of the greats.
As I’m typing this, Dorney park is the only Cedar fair park I have ever been to.
That's a nice one.
I’ve been on hydra six whole freaking times!!!! What would you recommend to be the next Cedar Fair park I go to next??
@@concordebro2003 I think one of the Ohio parks is ideal, probably Kings Island.
Thx
One of those times I’ve been on Hydra, I managed to snag the front row
Kings dominion is my home park and ive been saying for years that its only one more great coaster away from being a top tier park. Instead of adding a top attraction, they added tumbili... one of the saddest excuses of a roller coaster. Im hoping the the rumor is true that a major coaster is coming in the next few years
It absolutely is.
I've only been to kd once, but I actually liked tumbili... to be fair it's the only spinning coaster I've ever been on, and I'd never experienced anything like it.
Lol Dominator having a good crew? That’s hilarious. It’s a B&M floorless and consistently has the longest line in the park at usually over an hour, which is ridiculous based on how high the capacity is. They stack like there’s no tomorrow every time I go there.
Well I suppose I got lucky.
my new acount i plan to become girl so i made one under hannnah
50:29 in 2x speed is something else 💀
Maybe do your own research and not copy and paste other channels first im fine with mia being last because cf doesn't have bad parks and its at bottom due to its lineup though i think its close to dorney due to shivering timbers 2nd Canada's wonderland is the most visited seasonal park again do research it's not hard and if your saying rides play a big part it should be higher than Carowinds due to its great flats and Carowinds having many bad coasters that brings me to your ki fanboy pick yes cp has dropped the ball with guest experience the past few years.. but since its ride lineup is way better than ki its still better and sorry to say ive been to ki many times thier guest experience isnt way ahead of cp better yes but not lots better im guessing your best friends with airtime thills and Taylor based on your bad opinions
This is entirely based on my experiences.
10? Really?
Is this referring to Valleyfair getting 10th? This comment is somewhat hard to interpret.
Buckle up, this’ll be quite a ride.
I think you swapped the 1 and 2 positions just to be controversial. Cedar Point - flaws and all - is really in a league of it's own.
I noted that I could have put Cedar Point at the top spot to satisfy more people, but I gave Kings Island the top spot because I feel it is the stronger park right now. It was a close call though.
Dorney is getting a new coaster
So I’ve heard, I’m excited for that.
42:12 "First off...showing a flat ride."
Carowinds is the best!! I live in Charlotte and I love going to carowinds it’s such a great amusement park
It is awesome.
King island fam 👇👇👇👇
Right here.
Did... did he just say Intimidator305 isn't as intense as people say it is? The ride that's KNOWN for blackouts? IDK, KD is my home park and I've seldom experienced any rides more intense than I305, and those other rides never quite stack up in intensity (fun factor depends but some are more fun).
That part is outdated, I went back on and grayed out.
@@ThemeParkAvenue Ahh thanks for the clarity on that one. Its still in my top 3 granted... my top 3 are all KD rides. Im not well traveled, only been to Hershey, KD, Busch and Six Flags in MD. Twisted Timbers is #1 without even contest for me.
I never seen anyone complain about dragon fyre being painful when they are talking about the eh/painful rides at wonderland
Interesting. Maybe it’s just that forgettable.
Awesome job! This is one of my favorite videos of yours.
I’m really happy you say so.
28:42 I hope 🤞🏻 we get xcelerator reopen later this year.
Same.
Splittin hairs here - but Cedar Point is #1 over Kings Island
Totally fair.
Fun Facts:
Carowinds is 36.9 miles away from Charlotte Motor Speedway and 13.5 miles away from the NASCAR Hall of Fame
Cedar Point is closer to Michigan International Speedway which is 123.8 miles distance than Kings Island is to Indianapolis Motor Speedway which is 131.9 miles distance
Those are somewhat interesting statistics.
You left out food. Dude, Cedar Point was a food desert. Pinks, chick-fil-a, and subway all gone!
I tend to get food outside of parks. That said, Chickie’s and Pete’s at Cedar Point makes up for that issue.
@@ThemeParkAvenue Oh god philly cheese steak. Absolute golden! We need to hang out!
Girl cedar point is way better.. the location! Lake is the best! Doesn’t get to hot. Kings island is ghetto
Cedar Point does have a more beautiful location.
Sorry, how is ki ghetto?
32:58 Which coaster might not be a coaster?
Wonder Mountain’s Guardian
Oh nevermind. Guardian is probably more of a coaster than Thunder Run. Thunder Run doesn't have a traditional lift hill and is powered.
R.i.p California's great america :(
It still has time.
I’m hype for these rankings
Heck yeah, I hope you enjoy this (and comment all of your least favorite takes).
Can’t argue with kings dominion where it’s at now losing volcano was a huge blow and personally i love I305 but I understand that it’s not for everyone. Hopefully kd gets a massive ride to replace volcano but sadly from rumors I’ve heard kd missed out on a lot because of politics and not getting a tax break so the development went to carrowinds instead
Yeah, a bigger blow than a Volcano.
Great chart! Michigans adventure could be better if cedar fair would invest a little bit of money on it. Just to spice it up a little bit and make the coaster lineup better
Thanks! I absolutely agree.
YESSSSS Demon Drop at Dorney!!!!
I rode the Giovanola/Intamin 1st gen drop tower at CGA in the 90s (before Drop Zone) and it was so awesome and intense. I need to ride one again.
That model is absolutely insane.
I recently went to Cedar Point and Kings Island for the first time and I agree with the placements. Cedar Point’s coaster lineup is better, there’s no denying that. But Kings Island’s coaster lineup isn’t too far off, and the park is better well-run. Both parks have awesome atmospheres, but Kings Island has much better operations and wait times than Cedar Point does, and it also has a better layout and locker policy.
These things do make Kings Island slightly better and more enjoyable for me, but both parks are very close in quality. I can see Cedar Point being better for me if I return there to ride Top Thrill 2 and Magnum XL-200 (it was closed when I went). The coaster lineup at Cedar Point is just that good.
Absolutely, both have incredible strengths but I feel that Kings Island is more enjoyable right now.
It’s kinda funny. Most people who live outside of Ohio tend to prefer CP. On the other hand most people who live in Ohio tend to prefer KI. I think it mainly comes down to atmosphere and operations.
Don’t get me wrong I still love CP it’s my number two park for now (dollywood might pass it when I go back to cp). It’ll just depend on how the guest experience is when I go up. Since to me that’s what really separates these two parks. CP in my opinion has slightly better rides but kings island has a significantly better guest experience
That’s more or less how I feel besides the fact that I don’t live in Ohio.
But dragster will re-open o-o
Can’t wait
Sounds like the timing when you went to KD sucked. While their ops aren't the best they don't need to be to usually be able to ride your ass off unlike maybe anywhere else that good.
Haven't been to most of these parks, but think Carowinds is overrated, incl. here. People are impressed with how much CF has added but with my first trip there before all that, I know how much that park needed it.
The dispatchers themselves were not particularly below standard, but the management’s choices with capacity and operations were where I got unlucky.
Michigan Adventure being my home park, I admit it's not great, but if the water park is included it's very enjoyable
I have heard good things about the water park, and it’s a decently enjoyable place overall.
I personally think Goliath at SFOG is a better B&M hyper than Diamondback just because it's so much stronger, it is rougher and shorter but I love ejector airtime, and intensity in the helix.
That’s way up there for me too.
