If you come to Oregon I volunteer to be your tour guide. I’ve got a spare room with a cot and have 15 parks with in an hour or less drive. Not to mention some seriously untapped street.
Corey this is an awesome video. Amazing advice for those young BMXers out there. Save your money. Don’t spend it on stupid ish that you can’t see anything from it. Keep charging Corey.
Just keep doing bro. You are a legend to many people. It will be interesting any way - your life, travel, riding with your friends, your thoughts about life, new projects, bike checks and more 💪🏻
Man, Im so happy when you drop a video or just see you, no body wants his heroes disappear or being under appreciated, I don’t want to lose more heroes. Your are giving amazing advices on and off the bike corey, keep doing it and I hope you find a path that makes you happy. You can’t be more welcome at my place when you want to visit chile.ove you dude, stay safe🫡🖤
Take care of yourself my man, just got back into bmx after 11 years off the bike. If you’re ever in London and need a place to stay or chill hit me up bro
Corey, I want to say that I have nothing but respect for your riding, and I appreciate seeing you pour so much effort in to your recovery and health, but I am gonna be honest with you...the raw garlic, the hard-boiled egg, the mustard...let's just say that if I was a team manager, I would make sure there were two vans on that trip.
Appreciate the love and support!! Honestly it’s the opposite for me with foods. I eat this way with no gut issues at all but the moment I eat processed foods it’s game over for me. I’m bent over with gas knots for at least half a day completely miserable. So yeah that combo works so well for me!
Definitely interested in seeing more about your daily life/lifestyle. If you're comfortable talking about it, it would also be interesting to hear you speak more about the transition away from being a paid bike rider. Is there a particular line of work you'd be interested in pursuing? Or is the goal to maintain the "vagabond" lifestyle as long as you can?
Really appreciate it man! So for me right now it’s just all about living the simplest lifestyle I can until I find something I really enjoy doing just as much. It’s not about making money for me cause I’m half Mexican I know how to hustle and make WORK and money haha. It’s more about not wasting the rest of my life working a “job” I hate and feel miserable like 90% of the population. So yeah I’m just in float mode at the moment in service of something to delicate my time to that I value just the same as my passion for an income. I love to do all kinds things (like most people) which is also something that makes it’s hard to lock down on. Maybe one day I’ll get vulnerable enough to make a whole video on it! Cheers!
I was like you untill I got in the carpenters union and now I make a family wage my wife has not had to work for 15 years now and takes care of the kids. I mostly build forms for concrete for industrial buildings and or rise columns and floors
@@RylanPalinkas-bj8yk nice man love to hear that. Sounds like you found what you like to do and fits for you and your family. I’m very fortunate I never started a proper family life so I’m able to live the nomad life as long as I can! Been married (for 8 years- got cheated on - she had his kid) , owned the nice houses , cars, dogs and cat and at this point I’m better off without all that ya know. One of those been there don’t that kinda thing for me. Always searching for the next thing in life to elevate myself! Freedom is first and for most for myself right now!
LIVIN!! Haha honestly this car has been my best investment in life and I’ve owned a lot of vehicles. Truly a unique build. Hopefully you stacking cash and investing in stocks with that lifestyle brotha!!
You’re living the life of a comedian brother, hope you have the ability to tap into the insight. For example, you saying the car wakes you up to keep the heat going, my first thought was *oh the heat is on boiiiiii* as you get back to sleep, so it’s kind of a good disturbance in the end. Maybe one day we can meet and I can give some tips for income, and you can give me riding tips. Stoked on your BMX and photography journey! I just recently got into photography, specifically for BMX
Appreciate it man! Haha yeah I’m not bummed on the car noise at all. I’m just a light sleeper and can’t go back to sleep easily so that’s the hard part being woke up from the car turning over. The heat or AC is always well appreciated no matter that’s for sure. Why I love this car so much! Best investment I’ve ever made in a vehicle and I’ve owned a few! It’s not about making income for me actually haha cause I know how to “work” and make money , I’m half Mexican haha the hustle comes naturally for me. It’s about not wasting my time doing something I hate just to make ends meet and before you know it life if gone by and I’ve accomplished nothing but kill time if you get me. Def hope to cross paths one day and chat it up nonetheless brotha!
I actually miss Nashville. Was great times when I was still in Tuscaloosa and would go up there with North Bama crew and ride the original 6th ave park when it was huge, the metro park, and downtown street riding til the wee hours of the morning. If you ever need a place to crash in Vegas to ride hit me up. See if I can get Devin D back out here too. Keep the content coming!
Appreciate it! Yeah don’t get me wrong nashville can be cool and fun but it’s just not for me anymore. Most my life has been here and I just don’t thrive here. Time to make moves!! Texas is calling me for sure!
how can one of the best riders not be getting paid.... should have a pay check for just being Corey Martinez!!...... also, love the lifestyle man, keep going...seems fun
I’m can’t be more agree with you boss🫡 when his cinema part drops in 2016ish, everyday that I put that part on a bikeshop I felt kinda sad bc that generation in my country wasn’t appreciating what this man is and what he’s done and I don’t wanted to see him being drop from pro teams or brands but sadly now is kinda happening.
Unfortunately BMX is dead. At least from a marketing perspective. And with that no pay checks for even the best riders compared to semi pro skateboarders even legends got Jack. Cory absolutely fucks and has done since day 1 and I agree he like many others should be getting a check for just existing but that’s not the world we live in till we come together as a community and put back into bmx and make it something that others want to be apart of again and with that marketing BMX will become more compelling and the mid 2000s will be back in play baby. Let’s take a page out of skating history, there’s a reason why that community although not much different from ours has an incredibly strong influence.
Unfortunately I think it was his attitude in a way he kinda gave up on that one x games real part and even said why risk it , I’m not talking crap I love this guy and hope him the best and agree legends should receive checks just think he kinda left a bad taste in the Bmx big shots mouth but idk I’m just a guy who loves Bmx just giving my thoughts but I can be 100% wrong hope he makes big money soon and like I said before he dose deserve it
Finding your place to live is a difficult process. I’ve been living in Bali for two years now and I don’t yet know where to go next - the Netherlands, America or somewhere else... I don’t know yet. it's really difficult when the whole world is open.
It truly is a hard thing hahahaha. Once you have lived the traveling lifestyle life it’s hard to settle down indeed. A home base is great tho for sure. But I’ll always make a way to travel no matter where I make my next base. Wish you the best of luck in your endeavors!
Lately, I was reflecting on that there are actually many types of freedoms. Freedom of moving, finacial freedom. And I have realised that there are freedom from feeling that we need to a lot and better thing to impress somebody
@@byc1013 unfortunately not haha. Even if I was to make royalties off them it wouldn’t be much more than a few bucks per frame sadly. Eggs, mustard, garlic....dude your farts must peel paint of the walls. Keep the riding footage coming, its way better than the hard 180 everything or spin till you land footage we see too much of these days.
Hahaha it’s funny cause it’s actually the complete opposite for me. My gut digestion operate at its best when I eat “real” foods not the processed foods. So yeah this combo meal keeps all the paint on the walls of my Prius perfectly hahaha. Appreciate the love and support 🙏🏼👊🏼
I love saving money too! That’s why my camera rig is actually an older lumix g85. All my RUclips stuff is super budget. Don’t fall for the hype that you need 10 bit and 100000fps
Haha yeah it can become a slippery road quick. Reason why all my edits have been with an iPhone haha. I know my limits tho! Not my first rodeo down this road. Been into cameras for 25 years haha. I like to mess with it all at times. Just didn’t have a decent full frame body after mine died so I dropped in on one that best fit my photo needs with video options when I get that wild and crazy hair haha. Finding a balance for our own lifestyle is key!
Thanks for the trust and showing us your life, Corey.
