I used to own a roomster. Most versatile car I have ever owned. Car reviewers would laugh at this car and make jokes about about how it’s for parents of giraffes, designed by 2 different designers etc. but look at this way. It’s the size of a super mini, I’ve hauled 3 adults and 3 mountain bikes in the interior of this car. I’ve transported a full dining set 1 table and 4 dining chairs. Yet this car actually handled quite well and never broke down on me. And the design? Well I am a designer by trade and all I can say is that if form follows function, this car is an excellent example of that because function is its strongest trait. It’s a real pity that this car and many other mpvs met it’s demise in light of the SUV/CUV craze
Some say, this car is designed by two guys, one designed front part other one rear part, and they have never seen each other, that's why that side window has weird position. Anyway, nice looking car, at least for me!
I had this car with this engine. Liked it a lot. It was a bit slow and knee room wasn't greatest (worse than in 2gen Fiat Panda), but I got a very good deal on it and I never managed to run out of boot space. Also, when I got crashed from behind by a van, it felt like somebody threw a bit bigger pillow on my back. The car was finished, but I didn't feel a thing. Good car.
Is there really less leg room than Panda 2? Very strange, I had a fabia 2 and it fit perfectly (I'm 190 centimeters tall) I wanted to buy a Panda 2 4x4 for fun and small trips, but I thought it was too small for me.
@@AB-zm5uk I'm 195 cm tall. In Roomster, I had knees sort of next to the steering wheel (with wheel all the way up and seat as down and back as it would go). I did my driving lessons in 2gen Fabia and I can't remember having the same problem (probably focused on different things back then, also, it has been 10 years). But in Panda, my knees actually almost fit under the steering wheel. The panel with shifter is a bit in the way, I touch it with my knee all the time. But other than that... fits me perfectly. There are many things to complain about and lack of room for driver is not one of them.
Nice van looking it remained me or some Skoda Octavia something like that or some different old Skoda I always wondered how this van well look inside is not thet bad you have a old Skoda car with you and a van and a combination you have a Skoda roadster ta da 😂.
I daily drive this, inherited it from family. At first I hated the looks but now it kinda grew on me - it's still butt-ugly, but hey, it gives it charm.
Hi Joe, I do like these drives you do, well in proportion with the car's abilities on the roads it's meant to be used on, ie not trying to break the land speed record in a car that is to all intents a people lugger. I also have to mention the reversing using the mirrors good stuff I do it exactly the same way but you would be surprised at the passengers I've had that point out that I've not looked over my shoulder I point out that if your mirrors are positioned correctly there is no need to or only on rare occasions.
