The problem with the term DRE is that the error is relative to how you think the game should work. ItsAXn says it's DRE when you don't reach the charge move (since Niantic said that you are supposed to be able to use it), ThoTechtical in his video on the subject says it's DRE when you can fire off the charge move (since you usually can't). New mechanic was a bad name, but people knew what you meant when you said you got it.

2:18 Maybe it's just me, but it appears as if the clip on the left lagged at one point. Is lag the cause of DRE?

I feel a bit better that I’m not crazy. I was convinced there were games where I got to the CM, hit the button and just died instead like hmmph I was sure I was at the move.

Yeah that was season 11 well we called it season 11 but for Niantic was a 3 month break! Lol
It was between season 10 and 11 in which Niantic pointed out that they WILL WORK ON IMPROVING THE MECHANICS OF PVP ( GBL)
In the end this is what we got am many pro-players quit the game bc of it! It was a big fiasco!
Content creators like Zyonic they just borsht it off am continue like nothing… which shows that content is better over having a amazing game… lol ( not attacking but that’s how things where feelings wise at the time!)
Niantic is not fixing this they don’t need to!
