  • This presentation is designed to help non-nephrology nurses, who are caring for patients with or at-risk for chronic kidney disease (CKD), learn more about the disease and its therapies. We give an overview of the challenge of helping patients with advanced care planning, symptom management, and end of life care.
This module is part of series - Nursing Care of the Patient with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in ANY Setting which have been designed to support the learning needs of nurses who care for patients with CKD. Given the magnitude of the population afflicted with CKD and the variety of settings in which these patients receive care, this series will benefit nurses caring for patients in many settings.
The content for each module is FREE for ANNA members and nonmembers. Contact hours available at www.annanurse.org/ckdmodulesCH.
Non-members can create FREE accounts with ANNA at log in.

Does Medicare pay for this? I’m at stage 4, I’ve had my mom’s kidney for 35 yrs. Dialysis was hard on me before. I don’t think I can handle it very long because of my age (58). I will be contacting you. Is there a number I can call?
