@@joeblow2069 I was only commenting on what I have read from others. Music can be interpreted in many ways. - I would suggest you not dump on other peoples perception on a song. - I would also add that the songwriter himself has given TWO meanings to the song and one is indeed about bereavement: "Someone You Loved" finds Lewis Capaldi reflecting on both the end of a relationship and family bereavements, in particular his grandmother. The Scottish singer explained to NME that he chose to write open-ended lyrics for this song as he was "bored of talking about myself." Over the course of making his Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent album, a couple of family members passed away and he "wanted to write a song that could be applicable to both my relationship ending, which I was writing a lot about, and then this bereavement thing."
That song is one of my favorites and I agree with your opinion of it. So many of Lewis Capaldis songs are heartbreaking. You want to ball your eyes out watch his video for “Wish you the best”!!
Please react to Tommy Johansson's cover of She's Gone. Up until recently he was a guitarist for Sabaton and fronts his own band Majestica. He does covers, in his own way, playing all the instruments and singing all the parts. He is an amazing, talented, all around great guy. He did a KISS cover of God Gave Rock and Roll to You as a tribute/thank you to Sabaton.
Such a lovely song. First time watching you. Thanks for the reaction.
Facts homie…good reaction….this the worst pain A MAN can feel…😢
As I understand it, the person he wanted to be with passed away. The people are stopping him from following her, to keep him living.
You are reading way to much into it. It is just a song about being dumped. Nothing more.
