    I love Piedmont! I’ve lived here my whole life and it’s nice. The sports are good, and the teachers care about grades a lot!

      @@movingtooklahomacity I’m moving to okc in a few months. Won’t be ready to purchase for probably another year but you have some really helpful content. Much appreciated

      @@user-zu2ff6xn1l I'm so glad its been helpful for you! You might be able to purchase sooner than you realize. If you ever want a lender contact that can look at your whole picture of employment/credit/debt and can help you put a plan together, I'm happy to share that anytime (I don't receive any kickbacks from anyone).

    Thanks much! Was hoping to also see Deer Springs development. Is that near anything you showed? We’d like to retire preferably in a gated community.

      I'm not familiar with a Deer Springs development in Piedmont. I believe there is one in Blanchard, but thats much further south. Southwest of Norman. There are plenty of gated communities to retire in!

      @@movingtooklahomacity I watched a video on RUclips not too long ago of a black woman from Mississippi showing us Piedmont and she went through Deer Springs housing development, which is supposed to be gated, but she got in there because the gate was open. I’d really love to know if they usually keep their gate open or having an open is standard practice.

      @@CarlaSpacher I'm sorry, I misunderstood! I thought you wanted to know about a brand new housing development. There is an older one (a decade ago or so) in Piedmont called Deer Spring that's gated. It's common for gated communities to keep the gates open during the day, often 7:00a - 7:00p 🙂

    This was helpful. When you say Piedmont has "older homes," are we talking about Victorian Era or 1950s and 1960s?

    • @movingtooklahomacity
      @movingtooklahomacity  2 года назад +1

      I'm glad you found it helpful! Great question! When I say "older" I'm generally referring to any homes built 30+ years ago. These houses often have been built with different permit standards for the time and a buyer might want to pay closer attention to the age of major systems in the house (i.e. HVAC, water heater) because if they're original then it's a good indicator that they might soon be due for a replacement and to add that into your budget.

      Agreed. I grew up there. Anyone who values education should definitely avoid Oklahoma.
