Why Visual Studio Code Live Server Not Working?

Thanks for the video🙂. That suggestion to create folder helped resolve my issue.
Just wanted to add something I have noticed as it might help complete beginners like me. Even after creating the folder and moving my .html file to it, it's not giving me the option 'open with liveserver' in vs code. Then, I realized that the issue was because I created the folder and named it like you suggested but was opening the file using 'open file' instead of 'open folder' option under vs code 'File' section. When I used 'open folder' in vs code and clicked the .html file under that folder inside vs code, I could then see 'open with liveserver' on right clicking.

@@anujchauhan4936 I deleted, reinstalled VS Code and all extensions like Live Server and restarted my laptop. My live server finally reconnected - but for some reason, usually at night, chrome will not connect through live server to the port. When I reset my comptuter, it re-connects with no issues. I've been using public wifi in a hotel, so I'm not sure if it's just the internet connection.

For me, the problem was not having a default browser. Usually everytime you open a browser, it will ask you "PLS MAKE US THE DEFAULT BROWSER", but apparently not here.
So definitely check that i guess.

I get a different issue when I try to open a .PHP file. It tries to download the source file instead of displaying on the browser
