I have watched so many vs code videos explaining the foundation for any coder to begin working. You by far win the title. So easy to follow, well explained and in a timeline that makes sense without mentioning something that leave people confused. Thanks very well done!

Ok first of all thank you for this video! I am changing careers into web development and I have been thinking that there is no way I can type code fast enough to keep up with people half my age, but this video showed me otherwise. You have given me a newfound love for writing HTML, CSS, and JS, and I am eternally grateful!

Tried several other tutorials on VS Code but yours got me off the ground! Thank you! Relearning programming 12 years after a TBI is daunting. I'm taking baby steps toward cognitive recovery using coding as therapy. Wish me luck! It's taken 12 years to summon up the courage to even attempt to relearn JS, let alone the many new complexities of what has obviously become much more than a programming language -- it's an infinitely extensible platform with hundreds of moving parts. I'm following your tutorials as my gospel! Thanks again. Please let me know of any other resources you can recommend to kick start me into the world of front and backend application development.

There is too much emphasis on key commands. Not everyone likes, or is good at using applications this way. It drives me crazy!!!
There needs to be better GUI's out there. Screw all this minimalistic key-command crap! I guess most people have poor visual and spatial skills, can't handle GUI's, call them 'cluttered'. They prefer everything to be words.
Well, you are not the only people in existence.
I'm gonna make a purely graphical application, that you wordies won't know how to use!!! hahahaha!!!

I know whole that stuff, but this is the most wanted video that I would watch couple of months earlier. IMO the first thing that newbie should do is to know the basics of the environment that will be working with. And this video do it properly. Another good thing is setup the terminal or just even change shell (i.e. fish, ohmyposh with auto-complete extention).

I tried the emmet abbr. and I when trying to bring up the HTML boilerplate, it wasn't working using "!". I started late last night, early this morning looking into this. Eventually I discovered a setting wasn't checked. "Emmet: Use Inline Completions" was not checked. I checked the box and put "!" on a blank test HTML file and it brought up the boilerplate. Food for thought if anyone has an issue with it. Something to check for.
