So, you used 9 rolls (36 exp) for your 70 seconds movie ! question 1: What film did you use ? kodak ektar 100? question 2: Did you scan those 1300 frames (9 rolls x 144 fps) YOURSELF or a pro lab for you ? amazing video !! thanks for sharing !
It was 12 rolls but I didn't use the full length of every roll in the video. I used expired Kodacolor VR 200, I have alot of that. I dslr scanned everything my self. I built a little film transport unit out of an old slide cutter that transports the film exactly two perforations, this helps alot.
@@davidhennen excellent !!! thanks for your instant reply ! I ordered the lomokino and Hoto cordless screwdriver (slim and nice @ 300rpm = 5 revolutions per second x 2 frames per revolution = 10fps which is ok for me because i care more about the stability of the video given by a motorized system). I will also use Kodak Colourplus 200 like you did :-)) but it s s gona be expensive $9 x 12 rolls =$108 plus development $6 x 12 rolls = $72 plus scanning $6 x 12 rolls = $72 , total $252 for 70-80 seconds project ! not even mentioning the $150 purchase of the screwdriver + lomokino, it sounds crazy but final cost would be over $400 just for one minute retro video !!
@@nikolaosgkougkoulias449 sounds incredible. I started with a cordless screwdriver as well. Actually the Croatia video was shot with a screwdriver. I recently built a second motorized Lomokino to shoot 12fps because 18fps is veeery unstable on the lomokino. For this video I shot 20 rolls and only 12 came out good.
@@nikolaosgkougkoulias449 on this one I didn't use the screwdriver. At 18fps the lomokino becomes very unstable and on the eight films the camera advanced during the exposure. To my knowledge this doesn't happened on slower framerates.
@@emeixon thank you! I don't know for sure but it could be the scanning. Lomography sells a scanning tool for lomokino, it's designed for smartphones and it produces these blurry results. I scan my films with a DSLR and a macro lens.
good film and this is great if people can actually manufacture a motorised camera which can uses 35mm roll film...and also maybe 24 fps smooth frame rate
I recently got my film developed and it came in sets of 6 images - how would I go about taking these and making them into a film? Do I need to cut each frame? Thank you so much!!!
The idea is great, thoughn this lomo kino camera, the frame for the shots contains 3 holes for each side. Is it possible to increase the size of the tires, like the old cameras, so that there are 4 holes for each side in order for the scene to be larger? Is that possible with this camera? Thank you
There is just two sprocket holes per shot, it's called techniscope. The problem I see with a bigger frame is even less time on a single roll of film. One roll only produces 8 sec of footage. Also I don't think it would be able to convert the lomokino to 3 perf.
Does anyone know of any LomoKIno footage shot on 20+ year expired film? I want to do this as I have a box of it, and I also want to develop in Cafenol. Anyone tried this?
Your motorized lomokino has been the motivation for my 3d printed analog movie camera project! much love!:)
Damn, thank you so much! I adore your project, great work!
Wow, thats awesome! Your camera is so cool!
This is beautiful!! Really striking visuals and mood!
Thank you so much!
It’s so trippy, like acid or mushrooms 🍄
omg what a nice video!!
Thank you!

@@davidhennen what did it go wrong with the other rolls ? Shaky footage because of the vibration of the screwdriver ?

Hi, how did you motorize the lomokino to make the outcome looking this smooth ?
Use a simple 12V DC drive and a NP-F camera battery. I made a highlight on my IG showing the camera.
So beautiful!! How did you do it to get such focused images? In other videos I have seen with the lomokino they are super blurry. Great work!

nice work all around, making the most of a very modest camera 🎞🖤

I always ask my lab to don't cut the film and then scan one image after the other. I use a Dslr and an old slide film cutter for that
Beautiful!
Good job dude! This is so so smooth, can I use an electric drill as power? How many seconds can a roll take?
Thank you so much! Yes you can! About 8 seconds.
@@davidhennen do you give instructions on how you made the motorized alteration anywhere? Soooo cool!!

Hello which tool did you use to edit this video? 3 cuts in one frame.
Premiere and after effects
Did you rig up bulk rolls to run through it? a standard 35mm would only be ~2.5 seconds at 18fps right?
I love this build! When I saw the lomokino the first thought I had was to motorize it and came to youtube to see results if anyone else had already
No, I run normal rolls, one roll gives me 8 sec of footage since one roll fits 144 shots
@@davidhennen so this video took 7 rolls?
@@iamandreavodickova it took 12 rolls but I didn't use the full 8 seconds of every roll

Hey, this is Croatia but good guess
