Half the journey is learning from your mistakes, but also learning how to fix errors. Adapt, Improvise, Overcome. 🤘 And I'm really interested to see how a sand guitar works. Rock on brother!
When you went to Wickes I was thinking there's better builders merchants for wood then you got sand! Wtf is he doing? was my next thought. Fair play for thinking outside of the box and in the play pit 😁, I bet all that silicone stank, I believe you can get diddy oil on line though it has got a very long release date 😂😂
Such a mix of emotions and thoughts came while watching this video and its evolution. First two thoughts after going hrrmm sand guitar.. That is gonna be a really cool look. Then I started saying good bye to my fore arm from abrasions while playing. Then when you laid the layer of Vaseline down I pictured the whole inside to be the black paint peeled or just melted off the body blank from incompatibility with petroleum products. THEN when the second phase came with the camera I realized it is winter for you as well and frozen silicone caulk NEVER works out in a good way. Surprisingly enough you ended up on the good side of all that. It was not entirely soup on the inside as expected and I have faith you can with a little effort and Curtis ingenuity turn this into something cool. You are right it IS like watching Ben and going WTF is he thinking as it all evolves and going Holy Hell Batman that shit worked and looks amazing when the end product is revealed. This is gonna be COOL.
I always find your cheap solutions to be interesting to say the least. Hope you manage to salvage it. The coloured sand effect should look really cool. I guess you’ll end up with a smooth finish and won’t get any of the texture on the surface. As we discussed previously I’m interested in using my 3d printer to either create a mould directly or to create the parts to create the mould from. Will definitely get to that at some point, but like yourself I have too many ideas and projects in the works. Need to actually complete some first!
It’s going to be really interesting to see how you achieve this! I’ll be watching my friend 😀👍
Thanks mate, I hope it works 😅

Some time is just better to bite the bullet and start over. But you do you so go with it.
Thanks mate, and I'm leaning to your thinking too 😆
