I heard something about Zach Wilson that seems pretty true. The 2020 COVID season at BYU was the best thing to happen to Zach Wilson...but the worst thing for his career. Meaning, it led to him getting drafted, got paid. But it inflated his draft stock to a degree that was unrealistic for who he actually was. He played a bunch of nobodies in 2020 and made him look better than he really was. Now he got to the league and he can't replicate what he did in 2020
fields was actually number 2 and then people saw his pro day and thought he was the greatest thing out there. nfl scouts get too caught up in the offseason stuff. if justin fields was the jets qb right now the team would be competing with the bills for the division. trey lance is another example of someone that should not have been drafted as highly as he was
It's true that Zack Wilson has had some struggles at the quarterback position recently. It's never easy to perform at a high level under pressure, and it's clear that Zack is feeling the weight of the expectations placed on him. However, it's important to remember that no one is perfect, and we all have off days. What really matters is how we handle adversity and bounce back from setbacks. While Zack's performance may not have been up to par recently, I have no doubt that he will continue to work hard and learn from his mistakes. He is a talented and resilient player, and I have confidence that he will overcome any challenges he faces and continue to improve as a quarterback.
All true but in the NFL off days lose game. Games are important in the NFL. Throw away 2 and you don't make the playoff. It's not like basketball or baseball where you lose 80 games in baseball or 40 games in basketball and you make the playoffs. Off days get coaches fired.
Jags gonna win the superbowl this year and all these big name sports shows and media outlets will talk about how it was all the other team's fault and their bad xyz play and not even mention that Lawrence has been arguably the top QB in the league for the past 5 or 6 games without all-pro caliber receivers like Mahomes/Hurtz/Allen/Tua have
They'll NEVER give jags credit even when they were in the championship game few years ago they still downplayed them , they'll need a ring first before the media cares about them unfortunately
Unfortunately for Wilson once he had that conference where they lobbed the easiest question for Wilson to answer, where he said he didn't feel like he let the defense down after an L, he was done
How could these guys not mention how bad the Jets O-line has played the past couple of weeks? Wilson is a big part, but not the only part. There is basically no run blocking and it's made the Jets offense dangerously 1-dimensional
At least someone gets it. The team as a whole is bad. Doesn’t matter who was in at QB last night, it wasn’t going to be good. 3rd and long all day because of early down penalties and the unability to run the ball. Zach is the scapegoat.
U do realize the jags have the 27th ranked defense and we're missing 2 key defensive starters, u have to score more than 3 points. The O line isn't to blame because his throws are WAY off target or he's just throwing the ball up for grabs.
It looks like to me the game is to fast for Zach. He is starting at the pass rush and freezing in the pocket. If his first progression he should take off and use his legs at this point. Jets actually got pieces finally
Current Jets GM Joe Douglas drafted Machi Becton in stead of Tristan Wirfs or Cee Dee Lamb in 2020. Quenin Williams was drafted before Douglas was hired in 2019. Joe Douglas has had 5 first round picks in the last two seasons. The crowd got excited about Chris Streveler getting yardage because nobody knew the dude was on the roster until he came in. All that energy led to zero points.

Zach Wilson is going through his Josh Rosen career arc. Curious to see which team even dares to trade for him, he looks awful out there.
🤣🤣🤣
He needs to put his ego aside and workout with someone to get better like Hurst and many quarterbacks did
How did Zachy Wacky go 2nd overall in the 2021 draft?
The Jets front office had a mancrush on him.
Im also hearing that the owner has a personal relationship with the parents too..
guys like mel kiper and todd mcshay randomly started mocking him #2 then the pro day happened.
that's the real crime
I blame sam darnold for winning those 2 games.... we could've had Lawrence!!!
We could've had Justin Fields. Instead we got Sam Donald 2.0
Fields hasn't won a game in like 8 or 9 weeks lol
@@ianwhite1101 the bears haven’t won a game in 8 to 9 weeks**
@@ianwhite1101 I guess Fields take the field all by himself that's crazy. I thought a team stepped on the field not one player. You are evaluating the sport incorrectly, QB's are 1 player in a team sport. QB's shouldn't have a win loss record its makes zero sense, especially when football is the ultimate team sport. Take the time to think about it.
@@ianwhite1101 damn i didn't know justin fields played every position on both sides of the ball
Why do you want Justin field? He's worse than the new York guy.
Justin Fields draft stock dropped because they said he had learning issues. That’s exactly what the Jets get. They have the learning issue now
Trey Lance is living off his college career
Nah no one is talking about his college career bcuz no one has seen that. He’s relying on the 3 overall pick investment the 49ers made
That’s Brock’s team now
@@A_r78 when brock has a bad game watch y’all turn on him y’all do it to every quarterback 😂

Tf has he done?
He’s a spazz on the field, dude couldn’t even handle the Bears then proceeded to get hurt.
He’s an injury merchant.
Yep
Even on draft day I questioned why Zach Wilson was taken before Justin Fields.
As a Bears fan, I thank my lucky stars Justin Fields fell to 11.
It's a lost cause. After week 18, the Jets will tell Zach Willson "Good luck in your future endeavors"
With the turnover the Jets have had with the QB position I’ve been blaming their front office for the longest. But when he showed the attitude he did and then Mike White came in and immediately balled out, I lost all sympathy
When did Mike white ball out? He beat the trash bears with grocery baggers playing defense. And hasn’t won a game since. Lost to the bills(almost died) Zach beat that same bills team. Football fans fall for the bs. How can you watch that game last night and put all the blame on Zach? They were in 3rd and long all game because early down penalties and because they can’t run the ball and no team is going to look good or win playing like that. Just like Brady vs the Niners. Brady is the goat but the team wasn’t playing well, he had zero time in the pocket, couldn’t run the ball and they played trash. That’s how it goes when your team plays Bad
@@mostandwatsonbreaksu basically tryin to say Zach was the reason the jets was winning and when they lose it’s not his fault
@@kavonalston no I’m not saying that at all 😂 but when they win it’s not him but when they lose it’s him? Y’all just funny. Funny how Mike white can’t beat a real team with that same team/defense
What a way to look at it.... Who beat the Bills week 9? White is going to get eviscerated these last few games
@@mostandwatsonbreaks when white played them they were fully healthy 😭😭
“He tricked the jets”💀💀💀
The only thing worse than missing on a first round draft pick is doubling down on him
“They quitting on him, JAIL BREAK BLITZ” -Gaurd from the longest yard
Lol I like how Shannon say mike white is not the answer with “no no no no” at the end
Now he got to the league and he can't replicate what he did in 2020
Justin Fields any time of the day over Zach Wilson. Thanks Jets!!
Shannon described him the best way "that joker".
zach should’ve kept that money he spent on his o-line cause he done lmao
fields was actually number 2 and then people saw his pro day and thought he was the greatest thing out there. nfl scouts get too caught up in the offseason stuff. if justin fields was the jets qb right now the team would be competing with the bills for the division. trey lance is another example of someone that should not have been drafted as highly as he was
And with all that being said, there's a GM out there that's going to make the same mistake on Will Levis.
His off day is his career.
🧢
Gee I guess your his pr rep. He is sawft
All true but in the NFL off days lose game. Games are important in the NFL. Throw away 2 and you don't make the playoff. It's not like basketball or baseball where you lose 80 games in baseball or 40 games in basketball and you make the playoffs. Off days get coaches fired.
"What really matters is how we handle adversity" saw that too when he acted like a kid and said he didn't let his defense down
Anyone notice RUclips cut out the whole “He runs well, for his shade” comment about Trevor Lawrence 😅
Don’t know how the story is always about the team the Jaguars beat, rather than about the jags themselves who’ve transformed this season smh…
Jags gonna win the superbowl this year and all these big name sports shows and media outlets will talk about how it was all the other team's fault and their bad xyz play and not even mention that Lawrence has been arguably the top QB in the league for the past 5 or 6 games without all-pro caliber receivers like Mahomes/Hurtz/Allen/Tua have
Bruh. Make the playoffs first.
Exactly it’s effing disgusting!!
They'll NEVER give jags credit even when they were in the championship game few years ago they still downplayed them , they'll need a ring first before the media cares about them unfortunately
Jags deserve credit for beating the Jets now?? Trevor Lawrence wasn’t looking spectacular last night either lol
Skip keeps saying Trey Lance keeps getting hurt. When did Lance get hurt besides this year in the NFL?
Remember the year Wilson came out was the COVID year….. byu didn’t play a full schedule against actual competition
I feel bad for him.
I wonder what his future holds.
@@1JAM229 going after MILFs
Why? His own efforts are what caused his situation
I don't. Everyone in his draft class is doing better. He is too arrogant and selfish. Take that L, Zach.
They did nothing with the backup in. What spark did he provide? They didn't score
Yeah but he made the game at least more fun from the Jets perspective. Watching Wilson is like watching paint dry...BORING.
Guaranteed another loss if he plays.
GET A LIFE
Unfortunately for Wilson once he had that conference where they lobbed the easiest question for Wilson to answer, where he said he didn't feel like he let the defense down after an L, he was done
agree, he totally lost the locker room right then..
Draft bust
Fields should have been taken after he outplayed TL knocking Clemson out of the playoffs.
Yeah they remind me of that bengals o line that went to the super bowl oh wait
@@davantedavis5631 bengals actually have a decent play caller my guy 😂 CREATIVITY.
@@mostandwatsonbreaks and that’s what makes the difference
U do realize the jags have the 27th ranked defense and we're missing 2 key defensive starters, u have to score more than 3 points. The O line isn't to blame because his throws are WAY off target or he's just throwing the ball up for grabs.
It looks like to me the game is to fast for Zach. He is starting at the pass rush and freezing in the pocket. If his first progression he should take off and use his legs at this point. Jets actually got pieces finally
Let’s be real.. the Jets saw the skin tone of J. Fields, and Z. Wilson.. and was like, “we want Wilson.. no doubt about it..🤪” 😒😒

Just kidding, I’m with you James. He’s absolutely terrible.
You nailed it Shannon.
All that energy led to zero points.
i think they should try to go for one of 49ers 3 qbs next year or cooper rush or maybe pick someone out of retirement if necessary
The only thing the Jets are gonna be able to get in a trade for Zach Wilson is a pet rock 🪨😂

Robert Downey Jr is an amazing actor! 🤣
I remember when they said he was better than tua.
Skip completely right. It isn't Zach Wilson's fault. He's a 2nd-3rd rounder. Max. Overdrafting is FO's fault.
