Saw a playthrough of the old PS2 game. It physically hurt. Saw this playthrough. There's less physical pain than if I were actively watching the movie, surprisingly. How is this game better than the movie? The world may never know.
If you’re talking about this game being easier to watch and indulge in, you’d be right. The animations and gameplay are filled with bulky polygons and lots of render fog, but the contrast is decent like in most 6th gen console games, and the facial animations were actually done quite smooth. SharkTale (The movie) does a HORRIBLE job with contrast in visual quality, and even in writing.
How annoying that there were exclusive finds in many environments and none of them could be revisited to try to find them again, further making clams even more scarce and harder to try to fill the rooms.

Oscar from Shark Tale - AAAAAHHH!!!!I think I am going to PUKE! Oh God, what the hell is that?! This character design isn't clever, it's terrifying, and HE'S the main character of this movie?! Oh dear... And his personality isn't much better either; his goal of becoming rich and famous makes him out to be so shallow, he's hard to relate, and he does some pretty bad things. For example, his best friend, Angie, gives him a pearl her grandmother gave her to give him enough money to pay off his debt, and what does he do? He bets all the money on a seahorse race! Gee, what a charming guy...!Roll Eyes Later on, a shark gets killed by an anchor, and he takes credit for it. What a relatable character... NOT! I just want to cook him up and serve him to the Fat Controller for a "lovely picnic supper of fish and chips".
I remember getting my older sister to play the shark chasing levels because I was so scared to play them myself 😂
