Carlos, you are still missed in 2021 ♡
2000-2009 great times to be alive.
The last good decade before social networks and all that shite.
Absolutely I would say 2007 was peak just before the recession
Carlos you are still missed in 2020
yessssssssssssssssssssssss
He is into writing and stuff now.
2021 too
I loved this Interpol.
He didn't even like playing bass but wrote some of the best post-punk basslines ever
0:04 Slow Hands
3:16 NARC
8:18 Say Hello to the Angels
12:54 C'mere
16:38 Not Even Jail
22:55 Obstacle 1
27:16 Evil
32:00 PDA
Thank for thank. It was useful
What the hell happened to PDA?
@@llednop seems like they played the single version which doesn't have the outro. Incidentally the greatest outro of all time.
@@bikeswillsavetheworld I don't get it, why stop there? Every single time I've watched them play PDA the play the whole song. That outro is the best part of the damn song!
@@llednop agreed! Interpol have a bunch of songs with great outros. Not even jail, Untitled etc
*CARLOS IS THE BEST BASSIST OF THAT ERA.*
So many memorable bass lines.
He is indeed, and my favorite bassist, after Geddy Lee and Justin Chancellor, of course!
I love that little look between Dan and Paul when the bass doesn't come in at the start of NARC
Lol "this fookin guy..." look
Man, dat quality... awesome! It's hard to believe that it was twelve years ago...
Yep they sound pretty sloppy lately going by fan reviews and how they played at glastonbury 2019
Fifteen
@@OneMoreRUclipsAccountForYou I was 13 when I saw this gig for the first time. Now I'm 28. Time fucking flies
@@OneMoreRUclipsAccountForYou (((((
Fifteen , 15 años han pasado
golden hair, deep blue eyes, underworld voice... there's no straight man when Paul is around
He has good hair but pretty odd looking
@@andyd6338nah he's imperfectly perfect (don't know if thats a word lmao)
Nobody:
Absolutely nobody:
Camera man: Oh look at the cows 🐄 18:11
Cameraman:
I can not believe it!! Look at the cow's ass.
bet them cows are dead now
@@d4vegee OMG hahaha sad but true
@@kevinhxc9389 lol dead for about 15/6 yrs :((
Paul was so adorable here!
I was getting clean during these days listening to Interpol. Dredg, DiruttiColumn. Never went back to that life of darkness. Great music
Daniel and his quality riff guitar is so underrated.
no, dur dur-da- dur da dur dur is not underrated.
What a voice. Ian smiling from the heavens... well, grinning slightly.
Curtis? I bet he does!
yeah!
i think the sameee hahaha
I'm astonished that this set sound exactly like the album version of the songs while retaining the vibrancy of a great live performance. The mix is fab!
hahahahaha is true !!!!
Carlos straight up looking like a bond villain
Sam is such a unique drummer but I can’t quite put my finger on what it is that makes him unique. He’s just so distinctive. His sound is unmistakable.
He reminds me of Clem Burke from Blondie with the dancey vibe and fills, possibly a little bit David Lovering from Pixies
One thing is that he plays with the stick in his left hand backwards, which creates more of a smacking sound
utter shite, uniquely shite. Have a listen to utter dirge.
yep, heavier accents on the snare. Smart move, smart drummer.@@RFFVNS
CAN WE TALK ABOUT CARLOS GIVING SAM A WEIRD MISCHIEVOUS SMILE AT AROUND 13:29 AND SAM NOT NOTICING PLEASE IT'S SO FUNNY WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT
Carlos and his gun holster... cool as fuck! It's like when he went on stage, security stopped him and said he had to leave his gun in his dressing room.
between the people in the stage and the crowd, Carlos Dengler was the coolest human present there...
Obstacle 1 was amazing here. And the smile Paul did at the beginning of the song is beautiful
Essa banda é muito massa!
My god this is 18 years ago and I was in my second year of Uni. Time just flies by….
Sigh....the beauty at 15:46 and C'mere. Damn I miss shows.
TOTBL is still a fantastic album that never gets old...a true classic
Yeah Carlos D. in 60FPS
the best live version due to loud bass
Most TOTBL songs are so mysteriously danceable
Thanks a lot man, this is what i needed.
This Album brings back the real good old days especially when my mother was still living. I used to play this album all the time. this is real good positive music, it just make you want to dance and have no worries about nothing. thank you for uploading this video. it's literally 4 in the morning here in South Florida and I'm in tears reminiscing the good days. #Interpol 💯🙏🏾🕊️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
crazy
south florida?
nice
Not phones, no cameras just people living the moment and enjoying the music. The good old times
It was 2005 so no shit Sherlock
I think you're right! I actually find everyone pulling out their phones at concerts very annoying...😅.
Respectfully, it is a fiction that people would enjoy themselves more without phones. You wouldn’t even get to relive this glorious moment without RUclips.
Omg this is gorgeous in 1080p, only ever seen a 480p upload 🙌
Only a 30 minute set? They sound great live, the vocals are much louder than I thought they'd be. I need to see them live soon.
Their composure n style along with the genre is just awesome. Def coolest band out there lol
JUST BEAUTIFUL. Awesome live performance, amazing songs.
Amo este concierto🖤👌
Love all of this
Some of their best songs, excellent!
Man Im always waiting for PDA to keep going!
why’d it stop?
Amazing Voice, amazing bassline, amazing guitarra and drums.
I remember when this band was touted as the new joy division…. Those first two albums were incredible and on heavy rotation in my CD player almost 20 years ago.
Interpol is my favorite band to play on bass and guitar, what a bliss.
I think this version of PDA had a long pause that the videographer thought that was the end 😅
Interpol is real distinctive in their music even if it does fall into the indie rock category. Love them
They are distinctive through their distinction.
Their sound is very post-punk. I hear Joy Division in there but its not quite as dark or gothic
Post Punk with a more shoegaze/post rock vibe. Also feel like Paul’s lyricism and delivery has some hip hop influence to it. I know he was a big rap fan.
The little guitar and bass hiccups the first time through the chorus (or, more accurately, b part?) of "not even jail" really tickle me. It's like they couldn't even control the hugeness of the moment. One of my favorite songs ever.
Many
Years of great music
SO GOOD ! 🎸
Damn boy you look so so good
probably basts interpol performance to date. and one of the few where paul's voice seems fine
2,04: broken pic and...finger!
idk if its just me or not, but after carlos D left the band just wasnt the same. He added such a dancy element to the music imo.
Very true, they still sound good but more conventional indie now
not me fueling my interpol addiction.... anyways great concert!
Me too. I’m lost down the rabbit hole.
Gewneth Paltrow enjoying Not Even Jail.. nice
She must not have completely terrible taste at least
Jackjude She just fucked up with his husband lol.
Time?
22:30 > lads
why is she back there?
In 07/04/2021 Brazil. Love Interpol! 💘
Beautiful times
great performance from Dylan Sprouse
Best "Not Even Jail" 🙌🙌🙌
Yassss
Their formal dress bumps them up to a higher level.
Why does Paul always look like he hates life whenever he's on the stage? lol
cos hes in a shit band and he knows it
It aint no shit band
Saw them in Stockholm in 2011, the most boring gig I've ever been to. Just played the songs and left, they didn't say a word. It's a shame I really love them. I think it was just after Carlos left the band.
@@someadandlogochannel sorry i dont listen to hardcore music like Interpol. Badass!
@@Sur.Annika saw them in Lima last year, great concert Paul was really nice and he speak spanish perfectly, even better than me haha but beside me was a group of metalheads complaining... Interpol is not for everyone... And I am metalhead too so, its not the genre its whom listening
I'd do anything to see them live.
Muchas gracias!
It was awesome!!! Wow i love it❤️🤩
That quality
💜💜💜😎... De lo mejor!!
I love you interpol
Where's the rest of PDA?
I dunno
I think they ran out of time
Why didn't they play pda full? They dropped the best part 😢
Gracias por tanto
There was a time when Paul Bank sang with conviction. I miss those days!
Think he's lost his range in the top notes, also he quit drinking and smoking, that seems to have negatively effected his singing
@@andyd6338you couldn't be more wrong, that was actually having a negative effect on his voice, to the point of irreversible damage, hence why circa 2017-2018 his voice was obviously damaged, since then he quit smoking and lately his voice has gotten better, but it will never sound the same as it was because the damage was already done.
Zero mobile good times when the people don't wast the show filmed or take selfies. Interpol still pure class and Carlos we miss you
mobile phones existed in 2005.
@@saladsalad9991 Did he say they didn't?
@@joelglanton6531 uhhh yeah... "Zero mobile "
@@saladsalad9991 That's what that means, that phones didn't exist in 2005? Amazing that you got that from just two words.
@@joelglanton6531 Yes, reading comprehension is an amazing thing, ain't it? Try it!
sigo escuchando esto en julio 2023

Is there anyone who knows why RUclips has disabled comments from many old Interpol videos (for example those of "Our Love to Admire) and new ones (those of" Marauder "). I can understand the videos, even if I don't approve, but the comments?
16:38 Paul struggling with the intro to Not Even Jail
went to see them in 2019 (first time) and they sound like a completely different band from this performance, solid show anyways!
What was different? Apart from Paul's voice
@@Lil-lau96 oh no just the voice, lots of things I feel like, there was this show of lights/laser during all the concert that itself was pretty awesome to see, I don't know if I can really describe it but all the shapes n lines plus in the background was playing some films and the sounds from the band all those things felt like one, you can see, listen and feel their music combined with this show of lights n pictures, not only they look different bc of the age or the outfits they wearing, some of the moves or feelings from the members of the band during the performance felt different from here in this festival, Carlos Dengler everytime they put him on the big screen he looked so badass kinda like a fucking gangster, ig the camera guy knows a little bit about his previous shows and took advantage of that bc he made him look like he was having his own festival. i've seen a lot of bands and some bands drop the ball or they really are not that invested in playing during certain festivals, you can see how some of them are just there to collect the money n go, that wasn't the case with Interpol, I know the songs are the same plus some new ones but I feel like they as band and ofc as people grow up and that gives you a sense of change in the sound and the performance, maybe bc was my first time, that could affect my perspective on how I felt about, that's a possibility too.
I agree Carlos D was a big loss in my opinion- still love them
@@Lil-lau96 Carlos D on bass was an intricate part of the band I think so without him they’re still great but not like this performance
Momentos que no volverán :c
Seen Interpol 5 times from 2003 to 2008, every single time people were yelling for them to play The Specialist. I'm pretty sure they only played it two of those times.
The savage bass 💓
People enjoying the concert, no phones, no cameras, only people singing :) I can't even believe that it was 16 years ago... In that moment I was descovering Linkin Park and other popular bands... What a beautiful memory for whose were there.
Execelente banda!!!
todas son perfectas
OMG so in love with Paul! Sigh
Super underrated band
Ok. This was a hell of a performance.
I wish I was those cows enjoying this show lol
I do miss Carlos!
Great band! 💜
(he seems like a young Adrian Borland...)
Ese hombre me trae crazy x.x
Best live band ever?
YESSS
Yo that Obstacle 1 performance is an all-timer.
That smile 23:08 ❤️
Fuck, they really went for it here
27:13 lmao that guy really wants to hear specialist
Love it
