When he spoke about the kids in the prison it reminded me of one of my fav quotes:
"it is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society" - Krishnamurti

5:35 nice segway to Peter Gray: school is prison. It affects children immensely.

Definitely. I dropped out of school at 14 and left home. I moved in with friends. My one roommate helped me get some house cleaning jobs. Best decision I ever made. I never contacted my parents again.
No young adult wants to be treated like a stupid infant and be constantly told what to do. Thats disgusting.

Seems to me some, parents are having children because society expects them to.Not because they want to,lm happy l grew up in the 70 s,l still have issues, so imagine the children and teenagers now, much, much much more issues. 😐😐😐😐😐😐

I'm not sure about that. Never met a single person who had a child due to perceived societal pressure.

to Gordon Neufeld, kids can't "lose" their feelings. Feeling is a type of sensation; it triggers by thought then generate emotion/feelings. Human build to have emotion thus to expend. Don't let ego to blind you; look deeper.

Well, kind of, but not quite. Emotions are part of your limbic system. When your perception pathways come into the brain, they branch off into the neo cortex and the mid brain where the neural component of the limbic system is. The pathways then recombine in the frontal cortex. Emotions are processed in the very front tip of the frontal cortex. Those plus other sensations like hunger and tiredness, etc. make up our feelings.
As far as I can tell, thoughts don't necessarily lead to feelings, nor do feelings necessarily lead to thoughts. Instead it's more like they use and sculpt the same channels. In using the same channels, they affect the others' expression and this leads to the experience that one is causing the others. If one's feelings were underdeveloped, they could then use their thoughts to develop their thinking. It would also be why moods you find yourself in can have a large affect on what kind of thoughts you have.
I recognize I'm replying to a comment you left over a year ago. If you have time, I'm curious what your thoughts are.

Feelings is the conscious experience of emotions and you can certainly become absent of feelings. Emotions can be triggered by the environment while someone isn’t aware or feel it…this is called alexithymia and can be the result of past traumatic events…it’s a way for the brain to protect itself from danger
