Lesson 2. Stitches and locks. Basic Tambour stitches.

In this lesson, you will learn the difference between Indian and French types of tambour embroidery. I will introduce you to the main hooks’ features and we will practice applying our first tambour stitches and know how to make the locks.
You will need:
1. Luneville hook with needle # 70 (no Chinese manufacture!)
2. Specialized Cotton Waxed and Metal threads
3. Little scissors
4. Ruler
5. Regular Pen
6. Books or boxes (pedestals for the frame)
