  • At some stage in your costume making journey, you may wish to construct all or part of a garment with stitches which are historically appropriate - Chris explains some of the most common ones.
    Time points:
    Running Stitch 0.35
    Basting Stitch. 1.09
    Back Stitch. 1.39
    Whip Stitch. 2.13
    Hemming/Felling Stitch 2.38
    Blanket Stitch 3.40
    Bar Stitch 4.05
    Drawing/Closing stitch. 4.44
    Buttonhole Stitch 5.41
    Pad Stitch 6.39

    Making them oversized is a really smart idea, most videos throw them way to small for people to understand.
