    This is a great tutorial series. Thank you for posting it. Do you find that the Indian style or French style is easier or faster? And is one easier than the other for sequins?
    Also, does the hook on the needle ever snag the fabric?

    • @slautaschool
      @slautaschool  5 лет назад +10

      Hello! Thank you for your kind words)
      With regards to the easiness, it depends.. some of my students find the french method faster, however, in my opinion, if you embroider any particular pattern (and not just the ornament) it is better to see the embroidery from the face side, thus I prefer Indian method. The hook may snag the fabric only in two cases: either the student's hand needs more practice, or the fabric has to be a good one. The right fabric should be between softness and hardness - synthetical chiffon is one of my best choices)
      Again thank you for the comments, I am happy to assist any question of yours!

      Make sure you set the hook of the needle in front of the screw 1000% as well as mount the fabric on the frame very-very tight. Then give yourself 1-2 hours of patience and you are ready))

    Hello Kristina. Thank you for the videos you put on RUclips. I am having trouble with sequins spacing also the corners. Do you have any tips on how to improve? Thank you.

    • @slautaschool
      @slautaschool  4 года назад

      Hello)) Thank you for your kind comments)
      Be advised that with regards to the spacing everything should be on your eye, it depends on the size of the sequins (if it is 4 mm - apply 2,5 mm stitch, if it is 6mm - 3 mm respectively or even more). There are rules indeed))
      Corners: practice making short (1-1,5 mm) securing stitches. Once it is trained - you may fix accurate corners only by applying these short loose stitches.
      Try to feel the stitches - even though it sounds strange, but later on, you will manage everything according to your intuition. Just needs more time)))
      Wishing you all the success and always good energy!

    • @feestuart2499
      @feestuart2499 4 года назад

      @@slautaschool Thank you Kristina. I am using hard tulle as my fabric, the hook snags on the organza. Perhaps this is why i am not getting the best results with my square sequins. I will try again with organza fabric and apply the short loose stitches.

    • @slautaschool
      @slautaschool  4 года назад +1

      @@feestuart2499 probably you should also check the tension of the fabric since it could also cause this problem..

    Quelles superbes vidéos! J'ai découvert la broderie de Luneville dans le cadre de mon diplome que je prépare styliste modéliste. J'habite en France et je prends des cours en ligne de broderie de luneville. J'ai un peu de difficulté avec les fils...Auriez vous des références de fils métallisés à me recommander? Il existe MADEIRA...
    Je trouve également que broder avec la pointe de 70 c'est très très dur pour l'instant je débute et je suis plus à l'aise avec le 80 ou 90...
    Et j'ai beaucoup de mal à garder les perles sur fil dans ma main ça glisse... mais j'utilise un tambour fixé à une table, peut etre qu'avec le métier à broder ce sera plus simple!

    • @slautaschool
      @slautaschool  2 года назад

      Bonjour! Merci pour vos questions!
      En ce qui concerne l'aiguille, je recommanderais également d'utiliser le # 70. C'est difficile, cependant, si vous essayez de vous y habituer, vous pourrez également effectuer la technique de broderie Indian \ Aari, ce qui serait très bénéfique pour avenir. Les fils métalliques que j'utilise, que j'ai achetés en Russie, et j'ai cherché cette marque partout, mais sans résultats (elle s'appelle Gamma). Ils sont également très fins et conviennent uniquement à l'aiguille # 70. Les fils de Madère ne sont pas mauvais, cependant, essayez de chercher dans les magasins de couture locaux, ils devraient avoir des fils métalliques de toutes sortes (même regardez les énormes bobines, parfois c'est de meilleure qualité que les plus petits).

      Dear Esra, Thank you very much for your comment and your kind interest in this type of embroidery! I am happy to bring some use in these uneasy days..
      There is no specific brand for the threads, it is a regular metal thread, however, you need to make sure that the thread is not doubling, otherwise, it is hard to embroider.
      Enjoy and ask me anything if needed)

    Thank you very much!!!!!! This is a very very great and detailed tutorial series.
    I have learned so much knowledge about Luneville Embroidery, in my country, this is still a minority technique, they generally hold offline courses, so it's hard for me to get more information online.
    But I still feel confused about the choice of needles, from your tutorials, I found that I prefer Indian style than french style, should I buy another Indian needle, or just keep using a french needle?

    • @slautaschool
      @slautaschool  5 лет назад

      Hello!!! I am so grateful for your kind words)) thank you...
      I always use needle # 70 - this is my choice for all works. And yes, I also prefer the Indian technique, however, the french one is much faster!
      I wish you all the success and keep in touch if you need advice)
