i just bought this guitar and am really impressed by what it has shown me so far. i deffinetly am hearing alot of new sounds that i have never heard from an acustic before because of the sound port. the only complaint i have is that the top E string is a little bit off (not enough to notice) but the magnesium nut i just slapped on er deffinetly without a doubt fixed that problem. it sounds amazing unplugged and sounds even better plugged in i would advise buying or playing this guitar.
That sounds really good.
i agree and thats weird because cedar and mahogany is very dark, oh well. i bet if you mess with the eq it will sound way different
anyone knows the string set this guitar comes with?
very nice guitar
it's a shame we didn't get to hear it unplugged
the first tune you play, is that just a jam or is it a song?
man you got skills
Indeed.
I have a Boulder Creek guitar and plugged in it's quite impressive as an electro acoustic, where you expect the sound to be changed and either like it or not, but as an acoustic guitar the increased sustain makes it quite difficult to control the sound when you are strumming as there is a build up of ringing sound ...when you're finger picking it's easier to control the sound..... So if you want an electro acoustic then a Boulder Creek is one of the better ones I've used but if you want a good sounding acoustic .... look elsewhere IMHO. Plus if you are hearing bass response that your audience can't due to the side hole then what use is that? I think they call these 'solitaire' because unless you plug them in they are only any real use when you are practicing alone. Check out Tacoma Road kings for a similar idea with less uncontrollable sustain.
that makes it worth it by itself
I got one and it is every thay say. But i found a buzz in the top 3 bars of the guitar. maybe that is why they played it with a amp. Can't hear it with a amp. thanks
@jiri1991 Compared side by side in person, this guitar blows away Fender's acoustics hands down. I've played Fenders, Ovations, Gibsons, and most recently owned a Martin, which has been my main gigging acoustic for several years... up until I played the Boulder Creek side by side with it.
Lovies Guitars has the best deals on Boulder Creek guitars!
@DrEviscerator666 i do it the same way. you just have to be comfortable
@kempobrad Just on the floor....
mahogany back and sides made me laugh xD
Lol
it sounds more of an acustic that a regular acustic
has anybody else watched these videos and wondered how funny it would be if he dropped the guitar or fell backwards off of the stool? just saying. Haha.
@JerkyChid probably can work that way too haha
Interesting concept but sounds very thin to my ear.
Semi-acoustic
It sounds really good but the soundhole reminds me of a cup holder
lol, that's what everybody say XP
Lol, Indeed.
lol good one.
Even when he strummed it, the sound was very trebly and tinny with no body or bass. These guitars retail over a grand a piece so they are very expensive too.
hahaha:))
HAH!
i agree, just get a normal acoustic and your better off - way less money involved
love the ideas , but not the sound!! poor bass, too thin needs to be richened up ,however, i agree with your ideas
thank you for some free thinlkng. doing the same thing ,expecting a different result is crazyness!
Nah, it's probably youtube's crappy sound quality
Sounds like tinfoil
weird look
the sound is way too bright!
get some warmth in there!
EWW, needs more low end, sounds like ass though the pickup.
there is something quite ugly about that guitar yet somewhat beautiful and unique. still wouldn't buy one though!
Demonstrates "sustain" by palm muting the strings a few seconds after strumming. 🙄
sounds rubbish to me, I've got an acoustic fender, which sounds much better
Sounds like strings over glass.... horrible.
it sounds rubbish lol
plastic sound
i don't like it :S
Low...???
