I saw a bus just like this one featured on Evening Magazine back in the 1970s. Bus World covered such a bus in 1976. It had two engines, one to move the bus, and a small one to run a generator when the bus was parked and the engine was off.
Wow this is too much beautiful to see. Wonderful. But if you turned it to a motor home it would be the craziest touring rap mobile for a rapper ever!!! At least for me, it would.
The sole thing that would ruin this for me is the noise factor. I don't like noise. One night while walking home from a late night shift a tour bus came through downtown Salem and the noise factor was horrendous, so much so I thought the police would do a write up.
+FastCarsNoRules220 You could also make quite a bit of money converting this to a Rotel format with safaris from Las Vegas to Death Valley's Furnace Creek Ranch & Inn. This is not to leave out any round trips from the same area to Reno. And as Sherlock Holmes would say to Watson, "I think [I'm} on to something."
yes they saved the car o tel ... jumbo cruiser is the model name of all of the double decker articulated buses built by neoplan. car o tel was a jumbo cruiser when built. still a jumbo cruiser now. changing the use, did not change the type. the sultan of bruini's jumbo jet is still a jumbo jet. they have done a nice job saving this machine.
You'd have to have a well planned travel game plan, what with the length and size of this Leviathan! Imagine trying to negotiate a right or left turn in central city on this thing. Not mention parking.
this one is the only one in the u s a there are three still running around Germany and one in the UK they only built 9 of them total... i live near this one.. and have only seen it on the road once... when it was new i rode on it.. it was sectioned off into mini rooms like a rolling motel... strange ride...for sure... the video set that says restoration and the all white one is the UK jumbo.. it's one of the Pushers...
+howit wasitis engine placement. the first three had the engine in the very back .. the one in the UK one in Germany the rest engine in the middle... better roadability 2 left in Germany..
+howit wasitis If what you say is true, then pass this on to the owner. Tell him to study the Rotel travel format and convert this unit to the same, with safaris from Las Vegas to Furnace Creek Ranch & Inn in Death Valley, from there to Reno and back. Something tells me one could make a pretty good taste of change in such a venture. The interior could be restructured to resemble a Pullman carriage, with creature comforts for passengers, something akin to the old Trailway Diamond Express, replete with galley and stewardesses of long ago, remember?
Nick Eustace it's an event/party bus, and has a Florida license plate...ever been to a party in Florida? It gets a little hot and humid there, so a reefer cooling more space than a 53' trailer is a good idea.
Love to have that bus, awesome. Nice & long .
Thank you my friend for record this video. It´s a magnificent bus with a beautiful color. I´m grateful for know this big bus.

An even better ! Bigger steering wheel ! Lovely seats! Dash, etc.
It looks like the one in the movie: The Big Bus. But the one in that movie looked more futuristic. The movie came out in 1973 if I’m not mistaken.
This bus is made by Neoplan, a German company known for making large buses.
That would make a hell of a RV!!

Singapore should get buses like that! XP

Awesome ! Love it ! All the best coaches are left hand drive. Brilliant! I love it !😁 ha ha ha.😁
Has the cameraman got bad legs? It took him forever to walk around that dated old banger!
The first thing I thought of when I saw this was the Cyclops from the 1976 movie "The big bus"
Thank you my friend spookey for answer my question. I´m very grateful.
turn it to a motor home, it be like having a two story house on wheels...lol
How old are you right now
What an awesome jumbocruiser :)!

I saw one of these just like it at a car show in California in the early 1980's. I wonder if this is the same one?
que maravilha!!! adorei!!!

Bonito carro
How many neighbors consider your buss to be an eyesore or are they starting to paint their houses red and yellow to match ? :)
what a nice red house:D
Can you make another video from the inside of this bus? :-)
must be the only one in north America, what happened to it ?
Le pondria un eje mas a la parte trasera del bus y quedaria perfecto
Is that a TK trailer refrigeration unit on the back???
Okay, well thats impressive, but why is it in some hicks backyard? And why is there a barbecue beside it? And WHERE is the turbo jet engine?
And if the engine is in the middle, is that yet another engine at the back ? doesn't look anything like an aircon unit.
I have never seen one with a fridge hanging off the back, Is it for stationary parties or do the A/C not strong enough for the weather?
Is it illegal to show the insides? This is the 15th video I've seen of the outside. NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE OUTSIDE.
What country this bus is made?.
wth the bus is fucking huge !
Fajnie autobus!
how many miles per gallon does it get
you just keep a jumbo cruiser in your driveway?
What about the inside...can we see it???
Is it for sale!! I want to preserve it!!
How would i go about purchasing a bus like this?
it's not being made any longer, so search for used ones anyplace they sell busses.
Verliebt That's what I figured, but I cant find any.

Does it move?
cool bus, windows are ugly though
Why the hell does it have a reefer unit on the back?

Elijah Robinson That makes a lot more sense 🤣
You answer my question when my name was @almir4431. Now, it change to almirbmedeiros.
I like neoplan vehicles but the side windows are just plain ugly :(
Poor video did not show inside
