About The Museum of Classic Chicago Television:
The Museum of Classic Chicago Television's primary mission is the preservation and display of off-air, early home videotape recordings (70s and early 80s, primarily) recorded off of any and all Chicago TV channels; footage which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. Even though (mostly) short clips are displayed here, we preserve the entire broadcasts in our archives - the complete programs with breaks (or however much is present on the tape), for historical purposes. One of my favorite Three Stooges shorts of all time

The basic plot was reworked for Curly's very last Stooges short, "Half-Wits Holiday" (1947) - which, in turn, was remade as "Pies and Guys" (1958) which juxtaposed new footage (with Joe Besser) with that '47 flick.

Nice to see an alternate Columbia title card at the beginning. Comparing to the restored version, this TV version is quite cropped (zoomed in). Thank you for uploading this!

I used to watch the Stooges on WFLD back then and WGN 9 Chicago. In the early 60s we would run home from school so we would not miss the Stooges. No recorders so we looked forward to when they were on television. Now we can watch by You Tube streaming on so many classic television programs. Thanks for bringing back the memories FuzzyMemories.

This is a classic. The Stooge version of Pygmalion. This is filled with great scenes from the rubbish right to the end. This may be their best though there are some others I'd consider like Punch Drunks and You Nazty Spy!

@@mrstrokeinthelab he was in his 70s. Hes right, his wife DID inspire hoi pollio, BUT in 1946, that short was a spin off of Hoi pollio. I forgot the name, but it's not hoi pollio, it was a spin off. The stooges always did spin offs of stuff like hoi pollio.

Curly's debilitating stroke occurred during the filming of "Half-Wit's Holiday" in 1946 - that short is a reworking of "Hoi Polloi".
