I replaced my city's stock tyres from 175/65R15 to MRF 195/60 R 15 perfinza... Now it rides like my Octavia. Quite a lot of difference. I also drive in konkan region.
Thanks for sharing this. I have been using Bridgestone for over 4 years now. No issues so far. I was thinking about changing to Michelin. But, post this one, I don't think I would ever go for Michelin for Indian roads.
Michellin Tyres are not good for rough roads. I replaced 3 tyres of Michellin under 25k KM bcoz of sidewall tear. currently using Yokohama but they wear out faster than Michellin. road noise was less in Michellin
Bad roads ke liye koi tyre nehi bana hai..as a last resort we can use tractor tyres for.indian conditions. Its my experience and last feeling. :) Happy wheeling
Hi.. I have a Ciaz Zxi in which I’m planning to change tyres. The options I have are, Bridgestone B290, Michelin P4ST & Good Year Triple Max. I’m looking at Low noise, Comfort ride & Grip. OEM is 185/65 R15 MRF
I have been using Michelin xm2 195/60/r14. It is worst experience. Had so many punctures. It’s really soft and side wall is too soft. I paid 6000/- per tyre . Not worth it. Not for Indian roads
I see that you have upsized the tire from 175/65 R15 to 185/65 R15. Although a better upsize would have been 195/60 R15 so that your overall diameter/circumference would have changed only by 0.8% rather than a 2.1% change that you had due to upsizing to 185/65 R15. Your new tyres are now bigger by 2.1% which means fender to tyre distance reduced and it can damage your fender. Also it is recommended to recalibrate your speed-o-meter if the difference is this big. For upsizing you one can refer websites like tiresize.com/comparison/ to get the most optimum size alternative. Hope this help. :)
thank you for the info bro i know this types of calculators but its diesel car initial pickup drops alot and dont worry i have no issues about fender i drove around 4000km and everything is fine and one more thing weights increases alot after upsizing so braking needs alot of effort to stop. my brakes work hard to stop those 185 sections so just imagine about 195.and 195 section is not practical size so realword story is diff plus i drive on highways ghats and single lane road so initial pickup in imp sir plus brakes fade away some time when u travel conti so i feel 195 is not the size which i am looking for its good for city good for petrol city even i have read alot of forums everywhere written is 195 section is right for city no its not so it depends on situation. hope this helps to you :)

185/65/R15....yokohama earth 1 , yokohama blue earth ae50, or michellin xm2+ ..which is better sir.. driving mainly on village roads and occasional highways
Just want to mention, ive been driving cars with Michellin for over 10 years and done lacks of KM with the brand, your issues could also be linked to Tyre pressure and size. For my swift I had upsized the tyre to a 195/65/15 and each tyre lasted for 80k and never had any issues with them. Even my other swift with 60k on Michellin. And I travel with them so you must once check the tyre pressure and a few components of the vehicle as I’m honestly shocked about whats happened to your XM1.
Thanks for suggestion all the components are in good condition the car is new so all the components are oke tyre pressure and alignment is also perfect.but I have question for you what about that other tyre which is xm2 there is also same chipping issue
Realworld R&D Honestly I’m unsure of how to even comment about it. My experience with Michellin has been the completely the opposite. My tyres have been through the worst conditions and I’ve travelled half of India on it. All I can tell you is a larger sidewall like what you did for the city’s tyres should help you. Infact even my T-roc (1st of IND) has also been swapped from Bridgestones to Michellins. Ill also add that Conti’s are amazing tyres so hope it fits you better. Next time try the Primacy’s you may like them. One more thing to add, the Pirelli on my X1 were cut In a brutal way and so far after switching to Michellins I’ve not had an issue there too. Instances like these make me question of how the experience could’ve been so opposite. There could be a ton of reasons for what happened to you and I guess only a good look at the age odometer and wear patterns will actually provide a genuine understanding of your situation. Anyways long talk but I genuinely hope Contis cut the cake for you. Cheers 🍻

@@Rwdee thank you. But you didn't reply about up sizing tyres. You already done it on your car. So what's difference you are feeling now after up sizing tyre . Is there any big difference?
If you're car is petrol then you don't feel any difference but if its diesel you will feel it for sure mine1 is 185 65 r15 and i feel pickup drops around 15-20% but my main concern is grip so that's oke for me.i don't drive harsh so pickup isn't the priority i travel lot in ghat section so cornering confidence must there while driving. a lot of articles shows that 195 is grt upsiZe for city but i will recommend stick 185 maxx its sufficient.bcoz for breaks 195 will take more effort for stopping then u need to chng stock brake pad with some good aftermarket which i have already done and there are some +ve -ve of aftermarket breakpads thank you

Sir side se mara apollo tyre ki pupdi nikli hai in my belino company stock tyre has run around 3268km chala hai what should I do car liya huva 2 year? Please reply sir
Incase your vehicle usage is less & running speed is less than 100 u can use up to 5000km. Otherwise replace it for better safety.
For safety purpose I suggest please change it
Upsizing ke bad actual speed se kam speed dikhayega speedometer pe. **Please correct that

Bridgestone sturdo yoko earth1 for rough and tough uses.conti uc6 is soft but can take indian road conditions with ease 👍
Brother i have S cross diesel which came with stock Jk Ux Royale 215/60 r16. Really confused between Continental UC6 vs Bridgestone Turanza. Stock jk tyres are not that good. Please suggest brother.

Much appreciated
185/65/R15....yokohama earth 1 , yokohama blue earth ae50, or michellin xm2+ ..which is better sir.. driving mainly on village roads and occasional highways
Yokohama earth1
Cheers 🍻
Please subscribe and wait for my video that's what I can say I am working on it
