- This is a fandub I did for the song I'll make a man out of you from Mulan in hindi. I also dubbed a scene prior to the song. All the characters are voiced by me (obviously except Mulan - hehe I tried to do her part as well but let's just NOT talk about it :P).
It was a lot of fun doing this fandub.
Even though the song part which I sung isn't as manly as it should be , but nonetheless I enjoyed a lot and hope you like this too. :)

"Zara" is an urdu word. "Jara" is the hindi equivalent I think.
Is not "munzil" is an urdu word? "Zor" too?
+Jill_Of_Trades : Hindi has a lot of Urdu and Sanskrit words , so yeah it's not uncommon to find urdu words in hindi songs. "Jara" would be wrong pronunciation
luckyankraj Hindi words are derived from sanskrit words. Hindi does not consist of urdu words. You have been watching Bollywood films, not realizing the fact that communication in such films is a mixture of hindi and urdu to obtain fans from hindu and muslim descent: bollywood cares about obtaining more business thus revenue than educating hindu youths on the hindi language. I recommend you stop watching bollywood films because it is noticeably making you braindead. I have to trust you to think before communicating again. Hindi dictionary, aap ka mata-ji/pita-ji/guru-ji/ mitra loke/nath loke/ Rosetta stone software muduth kursuhkthi hai nai?
+Jill_Of_Trades : Oh wow , do you realise I am a native Indian and have properly studied Hindi for more than 12 years of my life ? I'll suggest you to read Hindi literature and see for yourself. Hindi and Urdu are both descents of khari-boli or Hindvi .While it is true that hindi tends to lean more towards Sanskrit words and Urdu more towards the Persian derived words but it's not true that there are no farsi derived words in hindi. There are quite a lot and we use them in literature and day to day convo as well.
luckyankraj I believe you are of hindu descent - I do not need to read hindi literature to know such. I make sure that the hindi words I use are that of hindi language not urdu, using a hindi dictionary and by having communicative, loving, knowledgeable loved ones. I also do not watch Bollywood films for a lot of what is portrayed in such industry is not advocating hindu dharma. Urdu writing comes from arabic I think for the muslims who invaded Persia (now known as Iran) many years ago spoke a language not related to persian or hindi, wanting to distinguish themselves from such people, hence why urdu is known as the language of the muslims and why hindi is known as the language of the hindus (and persian is now as the language of the persian of course!).
I suggest instead of being offended by those pointing out your mistakes in hopes you correct them for accuracy, you are appreciative of such people like myself for the sake of not looking like ek abhimaan varo gūnda.
+Jill_Of_Trades : Well , this is how it is , Hindavi or khadi boli was the native language here. Hindi and Urdu are essentially the same languages standardised in different ways. While hindi took more influence from Sanskrit and Prakrit , Urdu was standardised with Arabic and Persian influence.
You know , India and Hindus have always been very welcoming of different cultures all throughout our ancient history. We do not get intolerant and hyped upon small things such as what words someone uses in a song. Hindi was never the native language of the Vedic religion. There have always been thousands of languages in this land. While Sanskrit was the royal tongue way back but there were numerous local dialects and if you visit the country you'll find different languages in different states and yes people speaking them are still Hindus. Language has nothing to do with religion so you should stop bullying others being a language Nazi of sorts and try thinking with an open mind. I have no reason to be offended because 1. These lyrics were written by the official hindi translators and 2.Even if they were mine , I find them absolutely normal by all standards and that's how people talk in their day to day lives. Hindi is such a beautiful mix of Prakrit ,Sanskrit , Parsi and in he recent times even English words. Languages evolve over time and that's how it has been thousands of years. Good luck with your learning of hindi and Hinduism and I wish you best in what you do. Just don't become intolerant. Also try learning Sanskrit since it's the pure Vedic language you are looking for. Hindi is and has always been a mix of various influences.
