10 years ago I never even though about buying 3rd figures. 5 years ago it was hit or miss. Now I think it’s safe to say they have officially taken over in terms of looks/detail, accuracy, engineering and overall quality. Sure they are usually a bit more but you get what you pay for. This guy is unbelievable.

Everything looks great (except the price)! Was worried about the transformation, but as stated, not terrible (like the price). The dino claws sticking out of the forearms was in the movie and is on Hastak's as well (though faux claws)... Glad to see someone was able to do it with the actual parts. ;-) Good job GC (except the price)!
I haven't seen the film in years, I didn't realise that the forearms are accurate. I still think it looks bad though. Ben mentioned the posability difficulties in alt mode several times. I really think ratchet joints were the right way to go there.
UnChannelDuVulpineX I’m fine with the elbow claws but the dino heads sitting so high up doesn’t sit well with me.
this guy's enginering is a different beast than the studio series and the black mamba because his transformation is different

I like my bm grimlock and its $140 cheaper. This g creations grimlock does look good. In comparison with the mase covering the top half of bm grimlock you can't see the difference. Even though this one looks good I can't see myself spending the extra $140 for this. Great review

I was looking thru the movie Grimlocks, he's one of the few movie TFs I'd like to get. This is most definitely the one an adult should go with.
Man I've been waiting on this bad boy and I feel it was worth it. It doesn't disappoint. I really appreciate the transformation and the detail is incredible. Ab crunch definitely would have made it perfect but due to that transformation, I could understand why it doesn't have it. I'm picking this up but I can't decide whether to display in robot or alt mode. Your camera, lighting and presentation did a fabulous job showing off this figure. Thanks!

Disappointed they didn't do the double dinosaur head shoulders successfully, that's the coolest part of the design

I got min yesterday and it’s sooooo good..
3 years in the making, and its an 8/10. It could've been bigger and better, but I'm glad the figure is actually good. Ben, you are one of the best reviewers around, and I'm glad you are the first to give a good review in english.

I don't understand how the size bothers people so much when it comes with a scaled Prime. I'm getting this figure because it checks off all the desired categories, insane looking dino, insane looking robot & insane transformation hold the kibble. The paint job is really really nice in my opinion & breaths character into the monotone pallet the dinobots got for the movies. Sure there are cheaper options for Grimlock if that's what you are looking for but these things do sell out and become almost impossible to get so when you see something you know you need don't sit on it too long ;) I hope to see a cool version of the rest of the dinobots as well, especially Slag

No wonder we haven't seen anything by them for a while, this is one Herculean engineering project in its complexity and they have pulled it off beautifully! The only problem is I already have a stupid amount of movie Grimlocks!! I literally have lost count of the official, KO's and OS versions I have, do I really want another? I wish they had chosen another dinobot to go with my OS SS Grimlock and OS SS Scorn. P.S. it's Wrath as in anger, wraith as in ghost, is spelled like well...wraith. lol.
I can't believe they risked a custom mold, and it far outpaces the official mold. The tail was always the biggest issue, and seriously. Screen accuracy be damned. I'm glad they turn into coat tails. The whole figure is 10/10.

@@edgarortiz6553 That's good for looking at the transformation, but not so great if you don't speak the Chinese dialect of the reviewer. I believe this is the first English review, which is very cool.
@@edgarortiz6553 Yes I know I'm Chinese. But I'm surprised for a Western reviewer Ben is getting them so early, just like with Smash. Usually even normal mortals like us get these earlier in Asia than the Western reviewers.

FYI, if this figure were to be in scale with the unique toys challenger (Optimus prime), it’d have to be 44cm tall.
Just rewatched grimlock scenes the dino legs sticking out the arms is movie accurate
Actually, it's not.. you can tell the large spikes on his arms aren't his dino feet because during his transformation sequence.
His Dino feet were already transformed and on the ground before those arm spikes disappeared into his dino legs.
Best Grimlock transformation i love the idea they made with the weapon...
Hoping still someone will make Grimlock movie version (age of extinction) that has G1 transformation style...

By "Metal Series" does that mean that this company is planning more heavily dicast usage in future figures, or does that refer to the metallic skeletal designs of the Bayverse dinobots and we're finally on track to get a complete set of 3rd Party prehistoric badassness? I'm hoping for the latter.

Ok so just a theory but the dinobots are the color they are in AOE because of how long they’ve been captured I personally feel they all have their G1 color way because they have exclusive g1 color way for aoe dinobots

19:20 I actually prefer that scaling for MPM. I didn't like in the movie how the Dinobots dinosaur modes scaled to the Autobots about the same as real dinosaurs scale to humans. I prefer the G1 scaling where the Dinobots dinosaur modes were the same size as real dinosaurs.
Little Prime is amazing. Legs and feet are better. Dino mode is amazing. Extra detail in areas is great. But.....
The colour is way off, which is odd because one of the early release shots showed him with a much better colour, but I guess it was going to be too expensive or time-consuming. The dino heads in robot mode look odd, and the mace is not great.
I painted up a BM one and in robot mode its the best I have seen to match the film. The only thing I am not happy with is the feet and the mace tip does not match the film.
I was going to buy this as 170 American is my budget,only to find out tripping is freaking 60 bucks
I'd love to have this guy but the cheapest shipping option is 63 dollars...

I don't know🤔, dino mode is definitely the best we have seen so far, but the robot mode looks weird. I think the bmb/wj robot mode is better overall. And for 240 Usd it's insanely expensive.

I just realize how big grimlock is compare to optimus in the movie even tho i dont think that at t-rex is should be that enormous compare to a transformer who basically a giant.
