So true. Look at those in Miami demonstrating against their own country at the Jamaican Consulate. But, they have no grouse against Ron DeSantis who treats black people like garbage and taking away all their rights. It is so shameful, unpatriotic, and just boggles the mind.
I know Misti personally she’s an awesome soul! She has shown nothing but selflessness and kindness to everyone. What does it mean to be generous? Generosity has to do with selflessness and kindness toward others. Misti shares resources and look out for the needs of others, instead of focusing solely upon herself and her desires. She and her Admins/Moderators hold everyone to that standard as well! I love Jamaica 🇯🇲 . I also decided to move to Jamaica 🇯🇲 Misti inspired me on many levels too!

Nothing will stop me from visiting that wonderful country and people. Misti is a friend of mine and she does so much for the community she is selfless in her love of Jamaica and its people.

Amazing content brother! like your program, back to Jamaica and racism. I am 47 years old and live broad for 24 years now. I didn’t know racism until I left Jamaica. When I were a kid and we used to see tourist comes to Jamaica, we would literally roll out the red carpet for them. I didn’t know that some of these people didn’t like us until I went to New York. I live there for 10 years and now living in Canada for 14 years, I’m living forward to relocating back to Jamaica or Namibia 🇳🇦 within the next five years.

Throp, you mentioned in your interview with AfricanTigress that you would like to see a high school built in Negril. In my opinion, far more important would be a hospital. For the locals for sure, but also for the tourists who are partying which paves the way for incidents. Since Negril has such a high repeat tourist reputation, a billboard on Norman Manley Blvd., showing a graph of donations could possibly feed on itself.
We don't need a billboard begging for money. Contrary to people's beliefs Jamaica is not poor and destitute. The government can built that hospital and contract the work out to the Chinese like they are doing for the children's hospital in Montego Bay. We don't need charity. How embarrassing.

There is a large collection in jamaica already, just need to find the right place. If anybody have a idea of a good location, i would be thankfull. Thanks for all the good information. Best regards Stefan
Americans don't get enough commendation for the things that they do for Jamaica and other countries. I personally know doctors and nurses that send down containers with hospital supplies and x-ray machines and MRI machines with donations. Jamaica is where it is because of America mostly and all the Americans owning business there. I love these people for all they do.
Great interview and very interesting. I have to admit that coming from the UK, it is a new and strange experience to be excluded from a group due to my colour. I am a White ExPat I am a dual Birth Cert / passport holder British and Jamaican. I have not been in the country since I was a baby, but am looking to come back with a view to maybe retire - (60) I want to seriously consider relocating back to Jamaica - have you any advice for someone like me - single white male?
I haven't been hospitalized, but I know 3 expats who went to Sav and came out just fine . I know another who went ot Sav , then transferred to Montego Bay and her stay was very long. I spent an hour talking to her on the phone this morining 3 years later and she is just fine.
The problem with recycling plants and large laundry facilities is that they are not environmentally friendly businesses. You will create pollution in Negril. Those businesses would have to be away from the population. In Barbados a certain Jamaican owned chain hotel lanundry facilites are in a neighborhood and it gives off a lot of lint which lands on people's homes in the area. It's terrible.
I am an artist who is working and I wanted to spend time in Negril but I can’t afford it what can I do as my paintings are not selling and I’m also a Poet
If I might venture to say, and artist and poet would be better suited finding that eclectic element in KINSTSON , particularly poetry and spoken word. You also will be more likely to hook up with people in the art community who could lead you to an affordable place to stay while you pursue your craft .

A dry cleaning local business would do very well in the local areas of the island including ironing etc. they could then pick up the clothes already done ✅ the employment increase in these businesses would work magic. Totally agree. They also make a beer brewery for Mangoes, here in the UK they don't grow mangoes, but they brew mango beer from Somerset in England, mangoes don't grow in the UK. Jamaica is very resourceful but they need the drive, there are no advisors to trigger the monetary avenues and encourage fruit farming in the island. Every fruit can make a Cider.

Great interview and very interesting.
I have to admit that coming from the UK, it is a new and strange experience to be excluded from a group due to my colour. I am a White ExPat
I am a dual Birth Cert / passport holder British and Jamaican. I have not been in the country since I was a baby, but am looking to come back with a view to maybe retire - (60)
I want to seriously consider relocating back to Jamaica - have you any advice for someone like me - single white male?
interesting podcast
Talk about the hospitals - would you be comfortable being hospitalized here or would you need to fly out
Negril has a brand new state of the art hospital. We’re very lucky
I haven't been hospitalized, but I know 3 expats who went to Sav and came out just fine . I know another who went ot Sav , then transferred to Montego Bay and her stay was very long. I spent an hour talking to her on the phone this morining 3 years later and she is just fine.
Impressive motivation to be with our own people.....Black psychological freedom is here even though the colonial government is not free
thanks for watching
The problem with recycling plants and large laundry facilities is that they are not environmentally friendly businesses. You will create pollution in Negril.
Those businesses would have to be away from the population. In Barbados a certain Jamaican owned chain hotel lanundry facilites are in a neighborhood and it gives off a lot of lint which lands on people's homes in the area. It's terrible.
Welcome to my beautiful homeland Jamaica
Thank you
I am an artist who is working and I wanted to spend time in Negril but I can’t afford it what can I do as my paintings are not selling and I’m also a Poet
Also I am a Jamaican with Canadian citizenship

If I might venture to say, and artist and poet would be better suited finding that eclectic element in KINSTSON , particularly poetry and spoken word. You also will be more likely to hook up with people in the art community who could lead you to an affordable place to stay while you pursue your craft .
Big up
thank you!

I love Misty. She's living my future dream life in Jamaica. We are from the same age group too.
I envision my future living in Kingston and doing road trips when I retire there.
