Fantastic review! I had the 600 gen 1 and just ordered the gen 2. My only complaint with the gen 1 version was that I almost had to have the game volume knob all of the way up in most games I played. I'm just hoping the gen 2 is a little louder/better sounding.
They stated the drivers are improved. I never had to hit full volume on Call of Duty because it got a little too loud for me. Hopefully you have the same experience.

Also, if you are charging them while using them, other gamers can hear a constant buzzing sound, to the point that I'm often asked to stop charging them during gaming sessions.
There is no headphone jack on these. Simultaneous listening is challenging with almost any wireless headset. One potential solution is to use Bluetooth on the Stealth 700 Gen 2 to pair to your computer, then use the normal wireless connection to Xbox. The Stealth 700 G2 supports Bluetooth + Wireless simultaneously. The trick is making sure your computer supports it, as Windows 10 is known to be finicky with Bluetooth.
@@GadgetryTech Thanks for the response. Bluetooth is not a viable solution for me because with all of these headsets when you turn them on it automatically turns on your xbox with it which sucks + bluetooth is not very good quality. Whenever you review headsets if you could mention if it has a headphone jack I would be very grateful! Thanks again.
Man that is a nice mic. If you connect them using the Xbox adapter, I have one for the controller. Does the chat wheel works? And is it app independent. Like, chat using discord. I was just at my local Walmart and it had this, the Kraken V3 Pro. Both on sale. I went looking for Arctis. I found the Kraken really comfortable. And sounds seems good. Unfortunately they had them with some crappy music. But from what I've heard on reviews. Their mic is terrible.
anybody? I can't even use these because in party chat my friends can now hear my A/C turn on, dishwasher running, doors closing etc. The background noise on these is absolutely ridiculous, never had this issue with a gaming headset in the past. So frustrating...
I have the same thing, on an Xbox I pressed the configure button next to the usb and the pressed configure on my Xbox and it connected lol if that helps
Listen turn the headset on then press and hold the sync button (next to charge plug) till green light rapid flashes then again press the sync on your Xbox console (doesn’t support 360 or original Xbox)
Yeah , you can use atmos with any headset once you download the app. You need to go in and change the eq on the app though. Its not great in atmos on the standard eq setting. But once you tweak to your own liking the atmos app is brilliant
Hey bro, why you never reviewed the Turtle beach elite atlas (elite pro 2)? Its now on sale and I would love to know your opinion about that headset. Have a nice day.
I like these but the plastic squeaking noise everytime I move my head drives me nuts and even registers on the mic. And the mic flip to mute is too tight so it makes a noise on the mic everytime you flip it up to mute.
If you want to use it for pc buy the stealth 600 gen 2 usb on the box where it says gen 2 too the right you will see usb get that I had to buy that one
Can someone please help me... the little light on the headset is staying solid red. On the manual it says it should only be solid red while it’s charging, even when I unplug it, it stays solid red. It is also not connecting to my controller. It is paired and everything, I have used it multiple times, it just randomly stopped working.
Is hooking them up to the computer the only way to adjust the mic monitoring? I can't use my smart phone? Asking cuz I dont have a computer and I get tired of hearing the sounds in my room thru the mic.
During the video when you were using the Mic thru my head phone I heard screeching when your hand was near it do you have any complaints about that or is it just a hope no one heard it? Does it happen all the time?
The noise was because I'm Italian and talk with my hands too much haha. When you touch the mic with your hands it will pick up noise from the contact/covering the mic itself. It's normal for almost any boom when you touch it, and a byproduct of me touching it too much when doing the demo. It's a real enough event where I didn't want to hide/mask that noise. Hope that helps address your concern. If not let me know
A couple things you didn't cover were what do the 4 presets do, can you change the presets, and why does the mic pick up every noice in the whole house, including your own controller
Signature Sound, Bass Boost, Bass and Treble, Vocal Boost. The mic is indeed a bit sensitive but it's mainly due to lack of noise gate. The 700 has a noise gate feature and better mic tuning. Hope that helps.
For me I got this and my brother put it on and it made a pop sound, and like 2 weeks later it snapped. So I got my money back, and going to hyperx. Too bad because I really liked this headset.
Question: so I know that there is 4 different hearing modes but I can’t tell witch is witch so if you could narrow that down That would be great. Thanks!
Recently got these then immediately returned them cause the mic sensitivity was way to damn high and they could hear everything I'm my house couldn't even have my fan on without teammates complaining they only work well it there is zero noise within a 50ft radius but they still hear every button press
I just got the headset. Fully updated it. And the volume on Destiny 2 is unbelievably low. I haven’t tried other games but I really shouldn’t have to. I believe the headset is at 50% for volume or something because usually you can go to the Audio setting on Xbox and make the headset louder. But with this all the controls are on the headset itself so the Audio settings do not show up. I need to know if there is a way to make the headset louder.
Hey quick question I can't seem to find it anywhere... The presets for sounds what does 1 beep 2 beep 3 beep and 4 beeps mean ? In the old turtle beaches I had I think the lady would say like "bass boost enabled" or something
I’m looking to upgrade from recon 70 after 2 years of use, by chance do these headphones have removable pads? Not a deal breaker, but my recons have an earmuff coming off, I just want to see if I can potentially replace them easily if they fall off for whatever reason.
Can you use it on PC without the adaptor because when I'm on Bluetooth on PC I can only connect the headset to 'other devices' but the computer won't actually think it's a headset to use, so I can't use it.
@@lucyfisher420 No, sorry i think you have to buy like an adapter from the Turtle beach website and you can find it on google images (sounds weird but i found it there) and it can only be brought from the American version of the website. How is the max volume compared to previous gen? I have the Stealth 700 and they don't get very loud with volume set to max on the headset. I'm assuming this is because Audio settings in the Xbox OS are disabled when these are connected. When I plug the headphones I use for my PC (HyperX Cloud Alpha) into my controller, the audio settings are available and I'm able to hear everything much better when turning up the volume there. Are these settings still disabled when using the gen 2 Stealth? It seems like they are defaulted to 50% when using my Stealth 700.
Settings are disabled when the headset has its own audio controller built in. They receive a source a full volume, then you adjust the volume via headset. With that being said, I still find the 700 Gen 2s very powerful. They have great bass response and good handling when at high volumes.
@@GadgetryTech Thanks for the reply! Last question. I've heard that the 600 gets louder than the 700. Any truth to this in your experience? Thanks again!

That mic seemed too dam good... Does it have a headphone jack? If not, does it have anyway to listen to a pc and an Xbox at once
I use my headsets for both devices so having that capability makes or breaks a headset for me
There is no headphone jack on these.
@@GadgetryTech help do you know why I can’t talk and my headsets are connected
Man that is a nice mic. If you connect them using the Xbox adapter, I have one for the controller. Does the chat wheel works? And is it app independent. Like, chat using discord. I was just at my local Walmart and it had this, the Kraken V3 Pro. Both on sale. I went looking for Arctis. I found the Kraken really comfortable. And sounds seems good. Unfortunately they had them with some crappy music. But from what I've heard on reviews. Their mic is terrible.
does anyone know how to turn down the gain, my friends can hear way too much background noise
anybody? I can't even use these because in party chat my friends can now hear my A/C turn on, dishwasher running, doors closing etc. The background noise on these is absolutely ridiculous, never had this issue with a gaming headset in the past. So frustrating...
@@hockeykid2608 believe it or not I took a cotton ball and stuffed it over the mic and it works
Cooper Kowal 😂
Cooper Kowal I literally hear my dryer running
You need to plug it into your computer to adjust it
i got this a little over a week ago, ive been trying everything i could but i still cant get it to connect to my xbox😭
hopefully this video will help
Did it help?
I have the same thing, on an Xbox I pressed the configure button next to the usb and the pressed configure on my Xbox and it connected lol if that helps
Listen turn the headset on then press and hold the sync button (next to charge plug) till green light rapid flashes then again press the sync on your Xbox console (doesn’t support 360 or original Xbox)
@@kauzzey5492 so I cant connect my gen 2 headset to my Xbox one
Can you connect the Xbox version to ps4 ?
Thank you!
You should have more subs for sure
I get mine next week. I mostly wanted them for playing single player games. Does it support Dolby Atmos if I get that app on my Xbox One X?
Yeah , you can use atmos with any headset once you download the app. You need to go in and change the eq on the app though. Its not great in atmos on the standard eq setting. But once you tweak to your own liking the atmos app is brilliant
Only complaint on xbox is atmos does not let tou adjust chat vs sound levels
Hey bro, why you never reviewed the Turtle beach elite atlas (elite pro 2)? Its now on sale and I would love to know your opinion about that headset. Have a nice day.
The mic for me is like a walkie talkie
Hold the mode and connect Bottin at the same time
Is hooking them up to the computer the only way to adjust the mic monitoring? I can't use my smart phone? Asking cuz I dont have a computer and I get tired of hearing the sounds in my room thru the mic.
You can use the turtle beach hub app
@@shanejones357 that’s for the 700s
@@Marshh7 oh
Bro that "doot" made me laugh so hard!
Lol yeah I should've gone for more comedic relief on that one. Glad you got a laugh!
If not let me know
The mic sounds better then gen 1
Yes that’s what gen 2 means it upgrades😐
A couple things you didn't cover were what do the 4 presets do, can you change the presets, and why does the mic pick up every noice in the whole house, including your own controller
Signature Sound, Bass Boost, Bass and Treble, Vocal Boost. The mic is indeed a bit sensitive but it's mainly due to lack of noise gate. The 700 has a noise gate feature and better mic tuning. Hope that helps.
@@GadgetryTech That helps a lot, thanks
They are amazing for apex 👌👌
Indeed! Super easy to hear footsteps!
Wonder if these will bind and work great for my daughters nintendo switch when on tv gaming
Why does the mic test sound good in this video but Literally in every other video the mic test sounds bad???
Excuse me I have a problem with hearing my friends with this Xbox headset do you have a solution to my problem?
Go ti settings audio outpu and change it to headphones only
This guy looks like he could be brothers with Ownage Pranks, they look very similar.
For me I got this and my brother put it on and it made a pop sound, and like 2 weeks later it snapped. So I got my money back, and going to hyperx. Too bad because I really liked this headset.
I got this. Today and it’s lit
same
I didn’t get a usb when I bought mine
Same! I don’t know what to do now lol
For some reason the audio has a type of fizzy noise and people can hear my background a lot. Anyway I can fix it?
They are meant to have your background voice
Question: so I know that there is 4 different hearing modes but I can’t tell witch is witch so if you could narrow that down
That would be great. Thanks!
the # of beeps tells you which mode, so in the manual the first mode will have 1 beep, 4th Mode 4 beeps
Are they louder than the 1st 600
Can you use the Xbox ones on a PlayStation and the PlayStation ones on an Xbox? Just asking because of color choices since they’re Bluetooth
This headset are plain horrible even at higher volume, frequencies adjust itself and they.complete remove sounds, like footstep when it want
My gen 2 sux, constant disconnect issues, why do I need to hook it to a computer to update it, that's ridiculous
Hey quick question I can't seem to find it anywhere... The presets for sounds what does 1 beep 2 beep 3 beep and 4 beeps mean ? In the old turtle beaches I had I think the lady would say like "bass boost enabled" or something
Signature Sound (1 beep)
Bass Boost (2 beeps)
Bass + Treble Boost (3 beeps)
Vocal Boost (4 beeps)

I’m looking to upgrade from recon 70 after 2 years of use, by chance do these headphones have removable pads? Not a deal breaker, but my recons have an earmuff coming off, I just want to see if I can potentially replace them easily if they fall off for whatever reason.
where did you get the gaming chair from, and how much!?
Can you use it on PC without the adaptor because when I'm on Bluetooth on PC I can only connect the headset to 'other devices' but the computer won't actually think it's a headset to use, so I can't use it.
I have the same problem, did you end up fixing it?
@@lucyfisher420 No, sorry i think you have to buy like an adapter from the Turtle beach website and you can find it on google images (sounds weird but i found it there) and it can only be brought from the American version of the website. So if your from a different country you will sadly have to use shipping I guess, but at least once its done its done, you know lol.

Do you still recommend these a year and a half later? I'm in the market for a wireless Xbox headset preferably under $100 and these are enticing.
I just bought one. It's honestly the worst turtle beach head set I've ever had.
@@mcNuggetMuncher oh man, that’s a huge bummer.

I just wanna know how to set these things up to my Xbox as there's no sync button on them at all!!
I got the exact same ones in January and now I have to keep the mic stick at a certain angle for it to work and there’s a lot of static idk if it’s just mine or what but I’m annoyed
It feels like it doesn’t have surround sound
Agreed. I went back to gen 1
