The problem is not that they know you have a crush on them, its the rejection when you ask them if they like you too.
Yes! That just basically means the only way your crush is going to know you like them is if you come to a point of confessing. Even going up to your crush's friend can be same as confessing because that will be like inviting them to play matchmaker. Also sharing this info on your own friends can backfire too because they might play matchmaker and your crush can reject. Many that wants to claim to be shy but isn't tend to feel the temptation to confess their feelings and then claim their crush finds out. So what that means is do not confess and so that way, your crush cannot reject you. Just simply leave the crush alone and be happy with the admiring from afar position. Your crush cannot take credit on rejecting you as long as you don't even ask them.

Got a friend who knows I'm interested in them. She told me she feels no romantic attraction - she's very direct and honest - friend zoned me and I shrugged at the result. I didn't have a crush, I was only interested in dating her. The difference is when you're interested, you want to know if the person is worth your time and if you two have chemistry. Liking someone means you WANT them to be part of your time. My friend and I still hangout and she offered to introduce me to other women, because she sees I'm a good guy worth loving. She wasn't bothered by the fact I was interested and we don't really bring it up. We act like nothing happened. Last time we brought it up was due to misunderstanding.
The misunderstanding: Long story short, she asked if she wanted to go see the new Spiderman movie. I jokingly asked if she was asking me out or trying to make up for the other time I paid for her movie ticket (her birthday). She said 'both' so I assumed it was a date, but she clarified it wasn't and was confused as to why I thought it was. She didn't know that 'asking out' usually meant 'date' - I had to explain it.

Hey josh, I have been dealing with this problem lately.
So I asked this one girl to homecoming (just AS FRIENDS) and she rejected me because she though we were going as a date. And ever since all of my other friends are trying to help me date her 🤷♂️.
