Mahalo for bring this to the public, it was great to see many who are not with us anymore and to see the foundations of contemporary Hula along with the growth of the Merrie Monarch. I was fortunate to have participated at the Merrie Monarch with Waimapuna from 1978-1980, now in my mid 60’s the memories are as clear as yesterday. Mahalo again.

Beautiful!! So now for the few that keep preaching about staying traditional, and NOT changing or advancing with time. Here is the evidence that Hula HAS advanced! Now anybody that watches this, and watch MM today, go ahead and tell me tradition didn't change 😂😂😂😂
Anyway, Mahalo for sharing. I truly appreciate this. ❤❤❤

Do you have a recording of the entire Merrie Monarch, including all the performances in its entirety?
