The Lounge Refurbishment project is underway and in this video we are starting under the floor where I plan to install insulation between the joists. Having watched many professional and semi professional videos this is my 'How I Did' video and the realities of being an amateur DIYer . Having the right tools is critical when attempting these jobs and below are two key tools I used along with the 'How To Videos' I followed

Good job Stew. When removing skirting I use a short offcut of ply to put between the crow bar and plaster board to protect the plaster board. I would just leave all that rubble under the floor, most houses are like that.

Thanks for watching - yes I started to score the next board removal although I am putting a larger skirting - good tip on plywood
We decided 30 bags of rubble was a step to far

Good luck with all that work. Thanks for changing the intro and outro to remove the flashing. How many 'helpful' tips are you getting from the lady of the house?

To do yourself a favour ( for your hearing) it's good to use earplugs when using the multitool, that's my advice anyway, but other than that a nice video, keep up the good work

A seasoned joiner once told me " It doesn't matter how you take it apart, It's how you put it back together that matters."
Having watched several joiners over the years, they do seem to follow that advice...

Well done stew , thing is when you retire you need to do something to keep you sane ( well I do ) but in your own time frame . Enjoy the work , don’t kill your self and you will definitely do a better job than a contractor ( no disrespect) . I say that because contractors have a specific time frame or they won’t make enough money to survive. You have the time to do the extra which makes a better job . I would have been tempted to remove the rubble if I had a use for it like making a garden path , but there’s no real need well done Stew good luck with the channel 👍👍👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🇨🇦🦢
