Hello Steph, I have four of these and always a word of caution for the starwalkers. The internal threads for the cap are a synthetic material and can either strip or cross thread when capping or posting these pens. Always turn the cap anticlockwise until it clicks and then turn clockwise to engage the threads properly. Also be careful not to overtighten the cap or enough wear will occur which will cause the barrel and cap lines to not line up properly. Cheers, Steve
My comment was posted more for the benefit of other starwalker owners. I don't consider myself a MB collector either. I prefer English Parkers. Cheers, Steve
Nice review. Very informative & helpful. I like the genuineness of your review as you describe the quality in a very beneficial way. I am sure I would feel every sense of the word you mentioned if I were to hold a lovely pen like this. Great.
Gorgeous pen but I would have serious questions about the he durability and, more importantly, the longevity, of the rubber material. I’ve had way too many 15 year old cars in my life with little rubber parts breaking down from age and becoming unbearably sticky.
The rubber layer is very thin and gets sticky with time. It also rubs off quite easily to reveal a solid metal pen underneath. I’ve got mine second hand, and I honestly don’t mind the rubber material getting off. The pen is an excellent writer, very smooth.
My Starwalker is a Cool Blue one with a medium nib. I really love the smoothness of this nib !! Excellent review as always. Talking to another topic, I think that Baoer makes a very good performance according to the cost of the pen...Of course, nothing in comparision with Montblanc for example; but I think that the brand is an interesting option for an every day pen. Best regards !!
I have this one with a medium nib. Use it everyday and love it. I would love to see reviews on the Limited Edition Luciano Pavarotti, Leonardo Da Vinci or World Time pen. If you could acquire those and show how they write, that would be awesome
I value every ink pen but do you think fountain pens are like "God" of ink pens? Do you recollect special piston system of Visconti Homosapiens as still broadcasted in some Disney cartoons like "Tom and Jerry!"......?
I have that pen Given by my Dad, he told me he bough when his young and now he is 73 years old. He told me that it's a expensive pen and the price is going higher
I just found out that my grandfather has two of these pens (1 ballpoint and 1 fountain pen). However, they are black at the cap. How does that affect the worth?
I received a Baoer 79 today. Fine nib. Converter. Black blind cap instead of silver. Screw on cap with threaded posting. $3.75 on eBay including shipping from China. Silly cheap, but looks good and writes well. A little bit of nib work (micro-mesh and Mylar paper) and it will be a very smooth writer. Baoer did a really good job of copying the MB. Examination with a 15X loupe reveals shockingly good fit and finish for the price. I love my cheap and cheerful Chinese pens.
Hiya Steph, I have a Waterman marked 501 Made in England and Henley inscribed on the barrel. Could you provide a bit of brief info on this model? I haven't found much information so far. Cheers, Steve
Hi Steven, it may be a Watermans Champion 501 from mid 1940s to mid 1950s with a non riveted clip? I think the "Henley" was just another edition of the same pen. Sorry i cant be of more help.
This exact StarWalker model was my first serious fountain about 2 n half years ago:) nice pen but 100% not worth the RRP price of £405 at the time, I think the price has actually went up:(
The Montblanc Starwalker with the 14K Rhodium nib cost $200+ used & new upwards of $600. This is what we call a 'higher end' FP for folks with an average income. I know I can't afford it LOL
crazy purchases. I know my buying limits, and when I stick to that I am able to enjoy the hobby of fountain pens, eating and taking care of my responsibilities in a timely fashion. That pen range for me is $10-140. There are some nice choices in the range, including vintage pens. Vintage Esterbrooks and Wahl
Wahl-Eversharp Skylines are two vintage pens I love. Knowing tine alignment and micromesh allows my $10 Chinese pen purchase to become a nice writing experience. When I swap a nib for a Goulet broad, 1.1 or 1.5, it ups the game even more. My Jinhao 159, with the Knox K26 nib, writes smoothly. My 'grail' pen wish is definitely not the Starwalker. That pen is $159, and for me that is a stretch.
Kelley I also struggle with finances and the only way to be able to afford my favorite pens ( not necessarily Montblanc ) is to constantly rotate my collection. Selling pens to be able to afford some of the nicer pens in my collection. There are some nice budget pens to be had out there so don't be discouraged from your hobby.
We can't, not really. We just mash the keyboard with our hands and hope for the best. And you could have at least carried on the skit. So you type, "No, sir"
I know you said you don't wanna hear about it. Yet, I think you can make it to perfection by not pronouncing the "t" and the "c". It's a french word and the French mostly don't pronounce the last vowel sound of a word. Everything else how you say this word sounds good, even to me. So, no offense there... I just think self-improvement never hurt anyone. Cheers
+Alexander Meister I do not make elocution videos, especially with my regional Northern accent. Im not looking for perfection, only that the videos are helpful and informative. There are no scripts or fancy editing, it is what it is. If people enjoy or learn something from them then im happy. No offence taken, thanks for watching.
Victor, your watching the wrong video this is a pen review. I made a video for you that are interested in male grooming. ruclips.net/video/BLytNSCN9mo/видео.html
Lovely pen, great video too, thanks for sharing.
+Geekanoids Thanks, and thanks for watching.

Thank you for your advice Steve. I am not a MB collector so it will not apply. Thanks for watching.

Well documented. And personally had to send for repair
Wonder if anyone has found a fix for the non-lining up issue
Excellent Video. Thanks for this video. I have a question. What is the cost of this pen in 2022 with gold iridium fountainpoint ?
Thanks for watching. No cost as it is fake. Thanks
I have a Ballpoint pen and I love to add this pen to my pen collection one day. It is a solid metal pen with rubber housing I guess!!
Im sure if you keep looking you will find one one day. Good luck

Thanks for your comments and for watching.
you bet
I like this review! Please keep more coming!
+Richard Lee Glad you like it, thanks for watching.

Good point! Unfortunatly i have never had one of these pens in my collection so i can not comment. Thanks

Cool Blue, another lovely pen. Yes they are nice smooth writers, so enjoy. Unfortunately the Baoer pens are not for me.
I'm also getting the cool blue but debating between the ballpoint and the fountain. Any suggestions? Has your pen leak in your pocket yet?
I have this one with a medium nib. Use it everyday and love it. I would love to see reviews on the Limited Edition Luciano Pavarotti, Leonardo Da Vinci or World Time pen. If you could acquire those and show how they write, that would be awesome
Im glad you enjoy your pen. Unfortunately i do not have the pens you mention, i can only review the pens i have available. Thanks.
Any specific brand of Ink to be used?
I would say use the MB ink. Good luck.
Lol just use whatever you like.
I edifice across this amazing fountain pen from videos only and Iam sure to seek for it in future...
The Starwalker pens are nice but not my cup of tea. Good luck Ashwan.
I value every ink pen but do you think fountain pens are like "God" of ink pens? Do you recollect special piston system of Visconti Homosapiens as still broadcasted in some Disney cartoons like "Tom and Jerry!"......?
You pronounce well as a British and we like that. Don't feel sad for it, I know you are not but we give you the right you have.
Hello Pedro...Im glad that i pronounced it well. Thank you for watching.
I have that pen Given by my Dad, he told me he bough when his young and now he is 73 years old. He told me that it's a expensive pen and the price is going higher
Unfortunatly these are not one of my favorite pens, but they do have a fan base. You can check the prices on line Jonathan. Good luck.
I just found out that my grandfather has two of these pens (1 ballpoint and 1 fountain pen). However, they are black at the cap. How does that affect the worth?
Really depends on the model and condition. Its best to search online for sold items. Good luck
I have that pen. Do I can sell it?
Absolutly no Jonathan. It was your Dads pen so use it and cherish it.
Lovely pen.
I couldn't afford the real thing, so I bought a Baoer 79 fountain pen, LOL!
Thanks. Why not save up and buy the real thing, you get what you pay for. Good luck with the Baoer 79.

Glenn Higley If your happy with you pen thats fine. Everyone to there own.
Hi! I have exactly this pen and I dont know how much is it worth. Could u help me with the price? :p
It all depends if it is real and the condition. An online search for sold items may help. Good luck.
May I ask you how much does such cost but marker type (not fountain pen)? Thanks.
Sorry i only deal in fountain pens Henri. Why not search online. Good luck.
As usual a great review, My star walker takes MB cartridge converter, Just try one !
Ahhh thats interesting to know, you learn something new everyday. Thanks.

Marilyn Azu-Harris Your more than welcome, thank you.
Anyone have a problem with this pen that it gets sticky and when cleaning with soap and water it doesn't come off?
Unfortunatly these pens are not my cup of tea so i have not had any experience with it. But good luck with yours.
Very informative video, thank you for sharing. Do you know if this pen comes in a Rollerball?
Marilyn Azu-Harris Thanks for watching. Yes, Montblanc call it a Fineliner.
Rollerball and Fineliner are different. Apart of that, thanks for the video :)
At least MB doesnt claim this pen is made of "Precious Rubber" ; )
Price of pen
Is this pen smoothest?
How much
It found a new home a long time ago. Cheers
Price of pen
This was sold many years ago. I have a nice Montblanc 162 Meisterstuck Le Grand rollerball if your interested. Thanks
This exact StarWalker model was my first serious fountain about 2 n half years ago:) nice pen but 100% not worth the RRP price of £405 at the time, I think the price has actually went up:(
Yes i must agree about the cost which i believe is now more like £430. All MB pens are very nice but expensive.
Here with a Montblanc while I'm rocking only a Parker...
Im also rocking with Parkers.
Write?
Its pretty smooth to write with, however there are less expensive pens that are just as smooth.
The Montblanc Starwalker with the 14K Rhodium nib cost $200+ used & new upwards of $600. This is what we call a 'higher end' FP for folks with an average income. I know I can't afford it LOL
Kelley Go on ! Treat yourself to one.
Unfortunately, Social Security checks do not leave room for these spur of the moment cr

Por dios tiene una estilográfica de mas de 1000 dolares en la mano, no tiene como comprar un bendito cortauñas? Q cosa tan asquerosa...
You make sounds into the mic like a wild animal yet you make a video about how sophisticated you are with your fancy pen
+Matthew Milke Me, sophisticated ? Ha ha ! Excellent. You obviously do not know me.
Hey I didn't know Alexei Sayle did pen reviews!
'Scuse me, is this the cheese shop?
Hey, i didn't know that Muppet's could write ........
We can't, not really. We just mash the keyboard with our hands and hope for the best.
And you could have at least carried on the skit. So you type, "No, sir"
Маникюр нужен тебе мужик!
no - they do not say it "mont blanc". They say it "mont blanc". everyone clear now?
Peter Praker It is not "mont blanc" it is pronounced "mont blanc"
I know you said you don't wanna hear about it. Yet, I think you can make it to perfection by not pronouncing the "t" and the "c". It's a french word and the French mostly don't pronounce the last vowel sound of a word. Everything else how you say this word sounds good, even to me.

C'est tres bien!
dough for a 200$ pen but cant afford manicure??
Its actually $774 ! This is a pen review, here is the video you were looking for ruclips.net/video/BLytNSCN9mo/видео.html
MisterBenne Agreed. This guy needs a hand model to show his pens. It looks like he wipes his ass with his fingers and then doesn't wash after.
it looks so gimmicky
Yes i must agree, not a pen for me. Thanks and stay safe.
Why dont you get a nail job? They are discusting....
