Fun fact: In the Splatoon universe, only salt water hurts the inklings. That is why Marina says she wanted to take a shower in Splatoon 2.
It was also further confirmed in the manga.

Wait, so they could theoretically swim in salt water? My theory was that water only effects them when fully submerged.
@@PokekaiPJNew No, Salt water hurts them. Fresh water is safe for them to swim in.
Some say that as well but I'm almost positive lore wise that's not the case? Maybe I should do some more research and made a video out if it? Might be interesting?
@@GardenAsada In the manga it was stated that specifically Salt water hurts them. Also small fun fact, the cyan Inkling in smash is actually one of the manga characters.

It's true, but it all scares him the same amount. A spider in the shower is just as spooky to him as finding his own skeleton 20 times over. To Luigi, the only difference between a halloween haunted house and a Boo-infested ghost house is that in the latter, the ghosts are allowed to touch him. And at a certain point, that consistent level becomes a positive.

Apparently there's a game rule for water damage but no harm, no foul I suppose😅
The rule deals twice the damage at twice the rate, so doing that made going underwater 4 times easier, now try doing it with the rule, it'll be much harder.
Once I first saw that pirate ship, my first thought was “burn it”

My guess for those levels you got early on is that they were obtained from the advancements by spawning in the nether, and creating a portal to leave the nether

I've seen some Splatoon Minecraft videos but they're mostly multiplayer focused. I like the single player change here of water being the main enemy of survival. Ironic, isn't it?
