Figmas are fine, but I prefer other action figure lines to them. I very much prefer SHFiguarts, Sentinel, Storm, and Mafex, to name a few.

@@mb3318 I understand the aestatic value that scale, price, pop ups, etc, offer but if you can see pass the joints you can enjoy this figures as well, and if given the chance this companies can improve each time more and more just like revoltech ( amazing yamaguchi ) is being doing, in my opininion that is...!

I love prize figures and I almost never see collectors talk about them so it was refreshing to hear your opinion. I feel like prize figures are better than some of the scales available for characters. Price does not always guarantee quality, and that can be such a hard lesson to learn. Plus they add some much-needed variety to my collection.

I'm with you with prize and bust figures! I like smaller sized figures in general (Pop Up Parade size is perfect for me). Just easy to display, move around and take pictures with without feeling too insecure of breaking them

    • @NadyaCollectibles
      @NadyaCollectibles  10 месяцев назад +3

Yessss bust appreciation makes me so happy 🩷😭🩷 You said it so well, the fear of breaking something when moving it around is a huge factor as to why i love smaller pieces and busts are amazing - easy to dust and easy to display, the best combination 😂🩷

I'm just getting into this hobby, and 90% of the time what makes me resist pulling the trigger on a figure is a jank looking face, so your opinion regarding bust statues makes a lot of sense to me. Thanks for the video.

I adore nendos (that's how I got into figure collecting) but you are 100% right that they can be insanely stressful. You are one of the first content creators I've seen bring up this issue without dunking on nendos or coming across like you are "above" collecting them. Subscribed! :)

OMG which one was your first nendroid?? I always love to hear how people got into figure collecting, so thank you so much for sharing 🩷 Also, reading this comment in general really made my day 🥲🩷 So thank you so much for the kind words 🩷 It’s exactly as you said, Nendroids are amazing in a collection but actually setting them up is the part that gets me 🧎🏽‍♀️i do eventually want to collect more because i really do love them and Nendroid collections are my favorite to look at, and also i can’t say it enough thank you so much for your support it means the world to me 🩷

Glad to hear you feel the same way ❤ There’s so many amazing prize figures out there that add so much to collection, and yeah the prices have been insane lately for scales - it’s so sad, I’m hoping companies start bringing the prices back down soon because it’s really just crazy 🥲💔

I’m not really involved in the figure-collecting scene but I’m surprised to hear bust figures aren’t super popular! Maybe because a lot of manufacturers struggle making face sculpts that are worth the spotlight in larger scales lol. I really appreciate how they don’t usually come with bulky or obstructing bases, unlike a lot of full-body scales
What really gets to me with nendos is the struggle of deciding on the poses and faceplates. And managing and storing all those tiny parts afterwards 😭 I totally get the appeal of collecting your favorite characters in ridiculously cute teeny caricatured forms though.
Lovely video as usual, your excitement and passion for this hobby is (dangerously) contagious 🌸🌸

I'm with you! My collection started on Prize figures it will end on Prize figures. There are so many amazing ones coming out recently with pretty good quality, especially the Tentoil line. Also, there are so many cool Ichiban Kuji figures, which I find have higher quality than standard prizes like Bandai figures, and also carry the Masterlise line, which basically scales up the figures to a 1/7 or 1/8 scale. Basically prize figures are definetly overlooked by collectors when there are so many amazing ones out there. Will always keep mine in my collection :)
Also, I never really understood why collectors got busts before, but after seeing yours, I can imagine displaying the demon slayer/hisoka ones as pieces in a living room or main living space where they can show off your personality/hobbies without disturbing the natural flow of the space and aesthetic.

prize figures are also great because there’s so many in non-canon outfits and unique scenarios. where else are you gonna get figures of every demon slayer character eating onigiri or Homura sitting on a macaron or Rem as a nutcracker or Anya playing tennis or the version of Gon with his mile long hair or the Haikyuu boys hanging out in the trash

I agree with you 100 on the bare legs. The DxD ones and some of the TLR bare legs are better than the fishnet ver. IMO. For me it all depends on the pose. Standard standing poses tend to look better with fishnets, but any pose where the legs are more dynamic or their rears are a focal point, the barelegs sometimes look better. You're not alone.

  • @justanoman6497

Prize figure are great to start with, but once you have a relatively large collection, the issue of space comes up. I am now more space constrained than I am money constrained. I might have to punt some figures soon and it would likely be prizes that I have scales of the same characters first. As such, it doesn't make sense for me to buy any prize figure unless there is no (comparable) scale of the character. I do also collect media items such as blu ray, manga and LN, which contributes to reaching the "breaking point" sooner, but it will happen eventually if you keep collecting more and more figures.
I don't have a lot of nendroid, mostly because my taste generally doesn't suit the SD style. I mostly prefer cool/powerful and/or sexy characters and that does not translate. The few I do have are of the few canontically cute characters that I like.
In terms of bareleg vs fishnet, I do agree that it depends on the character/figure. My general preference is fishnet, but there are ones where I strongly prefer bareleg. For example, the GW Jibril, she just feels like she should be bareleg and I want to see the mark on her leg clearly. AFAIK, most people share this opinion on this particular figure. By potential happenstance, currently all my barelegs are non-standing. It is possible that for me, standing bunny will always look better in fishnets.
Note: to be fair, space constrained is also due to money constrain--could get a bigger house. But I actually did the math and... the most expensive part of my collection is already the real estate so getting more house for prize figure to save money over scale would not be worth it. This will vary based on your local real estate price.

When it comes to the whole thing with bunny girls, I agree with it, but I would also add that why not add a 3rd variant like instead of fish nets why not just leggings like some price figures, like for me fish nets are fine but not many scale bunny girl figures have regular leggings.

there's actually Nothing wrong with them wrong.
It's just some collector act very uppity when they hear people buy prize figure instead of scales, There's actually some really crazy price figures and lottery figures that you would swear should be scales Because of how good they are.
