PLAYING THIS SONG MAKES ME SOO HAPPY 😆 BUT PEOPLE IN MY BAND HATE IT COS THEY SAY IT IS HARD! MIND BLOWING I KNOW
Jo this song is much but not hard at all
It’s easy once you get that initial rhythm down
my band just played it for concert and we lovedddd it!!! 😋
This was my senior year good bye song for me and my band, every time I hear it I tear up a bit and smile while I reminisce
@@djmorris3097 absolute same! 😢❤️
This is unbelievably amazing.
Played this at a concert (different arrangement) and it was beautiful, nearly cried at the end
it really is a moving piece. To me nothing surpass Baba yetu in terms of game main soundtracks
Im in 8th grade not doing band next year and this song makes me realize how much im gonna miss middle school and band... I had such a fun time back then
Middle school was fun. This song brings me back to the end with covid and all, made some good memories.
From one Band nerd to another, we will miss you 😪
@@plunger9165 ❤️ill always have some band nerd in me
1year later remember this
At the beginning melody, I have the solo in this lol. I'm not even counting I've played Civilization IV wayyyy too much.
Oh man playing this is going to be good
Love this song. Master piece
Baba Yetu, Yetu Uliye ❤Swahili Language is beautiful
Trombones where ya at?😍❤️
Melody gang
I'm euphonium for it's solo then I gotta quickly switch to trombone for that tambre change and do trombone the rest of the song😅
@@jacobklein1396 I got the part and I’m a trombone ❤️🙌✨
I got the melody as a French horn
I'm a trombone player and this song slayed
We’re playing this for a concert Tuesday night🥳🥳🥳
My last ever band concert was a week ago today. Ill miss band
Going into my Sophomore year now, officially been a year since I dropped band. Still miss it, had sm fun and I rly miss all my friends who took it with me
cant wait to play this
Very Nice Song 👏👏👏 go go Trombone 😍 🎺💂
Bass Clarinet line is 85% whole notes!! 🎵🎶🎵
Damn, lucky if you wan't something easy. But unlucky if you wan't to play the main theme
That's unfortunate, hopefully my band teacher doesn't get the bass clarinet part from the other band teacher. I play bass clarinet but my teacher doesn't have the bass clarinet part, so I get to play the 3rd clarinet part. Honestly after having this peice for a week I can play my part fairly well and would gladly continue with the 3rd clarinet part.
Man, i have the game on Steam... I enjoyed it so much with my friends :D
Clarinet playing this piece, very clarinet oriented at parts. Wish me luck 😭 I’m one of the 3rds and we have very complicated parts at some points
Finally, a fellow trumpet/clarinet 3rd.
Please agree when I say 19 is the best measure
i play first clarinet and it is also complicated
god that part 3 at measure 19 is just beautiful

If you have the instrumentation, go for the Douglas E. Wagner edition. 👍🏼 it’s much more interesting
If you have the instrumentation you should go for the versions of either Henk Ummels or Roland Smeets. Much closer to the original. The trumpets in the beginning of Wagners edition just don't fit in my opinion. But that's just me. Glad you enjoyed it though ;)
sweetICEmen I agree with going with Ummels, I was just considering if a young high school group could pull that arrangement off.
THE PERCUSSION SHAKER GOOD LORD
Holy cow that three minutes!
Felt like 10 seconds
Listen to 8-Bit Orchestra’s version of Baba Yetu!!!! It’s so good! And it’s by a college level video game orchestra :)
Great piece!
first sogno di volare and now baba yetu!
Tin likes to explore different cultures and languages. He has a song in Polish, and he just recently released, "Oh, the humanity" in German.

why does my band play this at 1.5x the speed T-T
this slaps but the mallet part was such a pain to learn 😫
Is all of this live recording or computer?
Live
Baba yetu melele @yogscastlive 😂
Hello Dave! Yognau(gh)t
I can play it on the violin and I am only 11!
don't care + didn't ask
😶🤤
Band kid and heard the original this a just a bad arrangement of a good song the sogno di volare was better I just wish the soloist part was arranged Better and it would be perfect
This arrangement is so...how should I say it...dull and boring? When you hear a choir sing this it's with excitement and energy....this was just sad and pathetic...The marching band version was lit though having low brass as a main melodic feature in this bad move should have stuck to the roots on this one. You tried to perfect something that was perfected already. I pray this doesn't make Christopher Tin have a heart attack.
Brutally honest yet so true.
Listen to 8-bit orchestra’s version and let me know what you think??
As this is a Flex Band arrangement, the point is to go for pliability. This will allow you to play with limited instrumentation. I agree it is way more dull, but that makes it doable with an ensemble of 10, that many small schools have to deal with!
I am thoroughly disappointed
