Hello and welcome back to the next instalment of the Ableton live tutorials, in this lesson we will be looking at creating a gliding bassline. We will focus on creating a simple but effective bass patch in serum, the look at other techniques and sounds i already have in the main section of the track.

Heavy tune man! @ 12:00 I think what you are describing is a dotted note pattern. I think theres some sort of theory behind the reason why its pleasing to the ear because it strays from the beat but the eventually resets (lands on a beat) every so often. In your case it lands on the last snare. Really like your tunes, appreciate sharing your knowledge.
If possible could you do a break down of your pads in this tracks please?

Im trying to import the serum patch, But it keeps telling me the preset was made with a newer version of serum and wants me to update it (I have done so to my knowledge but it still isnt working) Any suggestions? Love the track!
