Johnny, you have NO IDEA how excited I became when I saw the thumbnail for this video! I grew up watching Victor and Tommy (on Reviews on the Run) and I also had the same reaction as you when watching the show. It was awesome to see a tv show dedicated to video games. Loved the reviews and the chemistry that Vic and Tommy had together. I have so many fond memories of watching electric playground and RotR back in the day (started when I was in 8th grade, and now I'm 23 years old!!).
Victor really is a Canadian icon. Love all the work that he's done for game reporting/reviewing. Sometimes I go back and watch old episodes of RotR just for the nostalgia.
Trust me I was as excited as you to have him come on!

I am one of those people who didn't realize that Victor was still doing his show. This is wonderful news. EP was on G4 here in the States, and I remember waking up at 4:00am for my first job out of college and watching it over breakfast. It was great! His thoughtful interviews and reviews were second to none and I really got a lot of my coverage on the PS2 era from him and Tommy Tallarico. I still remember his review of Atelier Iris and thinking that I needed to pick that game up. I still have to hunt it down. Thanks for getting him on the show and reminding the hobby of that great work he did and still doing.

Woah, two of my faves! More people need to subscribe to EP Network! Now that it's not on TV, you can get the same great content, cameos from your favourite co-hosts, high production values (and also casual chats in Vic's Basement). Just needs more Marissa.

This is so awesome guys. I grew up watching the electric Playground.. just loved that. and Tommy. I wondered where this guy was.. and I loved seeing Vancouver in the background of the reviews as well.. great great job guys.

Alright, so after reading endless RUclips comments over at the EPN channel about this channel I knew I had to visit.
This is the first video of Happy Console Gamer I've ever seen. Great energy, and you couldn't ask for a better guest than a "Canadian icon" who is Victor Lucas.
Holy Shit! EP was my only news source for gaming news when I was young. I absolutely loved the show, it's so cool to see him on your channel. :)

I don't even remember which channel it was on, it was definitely in the higher numbers on cable, but I would watch him and Tommy whenever possible. Their show was a nice alternative to Gamespot TV/Extended Play/X-play. Damn, that show had a lot of names.

So epic, such a lengend, I used to watch that show all the time. Seeing Tommy talking about some of the music he made. Him and Victor also had great charisma together.
I work at a TV station that aired Electric Playground until the last few seasons and I am seriously so happy to see that it is still around. I remember sitting at my desk every morning and watching the tape playback for the weekend and unwinding with a cup of tea before my week goes nuts.

I can't tell you how happy I am to learn that EP is still around. Again, thank you so much. You have just revived a huge portion of my dying gamers spirit!

Oh man Victor Lucas! That is wonderful that you got him on your show Johnny. I've been a big fan of EP since the early days but got out of it in by the mid 2000's (around when Tommy left). Glad to know that he and his crew are now branching out on youtube.

How funny, I've been a sub of HCG for years. I recently had some nostalgia for the old G4/TechTV days and started watching old judgment days/reviews on the run on YT, which led me to see what Vic's up to these days. I just subbed to his channel and followed him on Twitter days ago, and one of the first messages was that he was going to be on HCG. Just wanted to share the synchronicity going on here :).

EP and Reviews on the Run were a staple growing up. I still remember hearing about Dark Cloud on the "Hidden Gems" section back in the day.
I grew up watching ep every Saturday afternoon so many good memories.

Hell yes! Great video. Been watching Vic for a long time. Where i lived in Michigan, We had a couple of Canadian channels on our airwaves.... Him and The Sessler were what got me into video game media instead of just the games themselves.
This is amazing. Huge fan and supporter of Victor Lucas. Seeing him on one of my favorite gaming RUclips channels is awesome! Hopefully he'll be back someday.

CityTv in Calgary used to air EP and Reviews on the Run everyday at 6 pm. They did that for maybe for about a year, a year and a half and I would watch that instead of the evening news. Then they just up and replaced it with Murdoch Mysteries. Was so mad.
Can't believe it took me 4 years to find this epic crossover subscribe to both these dudes if you are videogame fans...if I buy any game I get these guys opinion first

*Victor Lucas is DEFINITELY a Canadian icon!* As a Canadian, I never missed an episode of EP! NEVER! And if I knew that I might miss it, I made sure to have my VCR record it as the prescribed time! Johnny is absolutely correct about the excitement around the show: If you were a kid/teen/young adult back in the 90s, you were stoked that such a show existed! It was a window into the video game scene and gave an honest opinion of the latest and greatest releases! Thanks for the video Johnny boy! *I enjoyed it alot!*
