Titan merchandise is pretty good, I collected most of the figures but they haven’t made any cases in years, I don’t know if it has something to do with them thinking the Jodie era wouldn’t sell? I don’t know what else it could be. They also make comics which are pretty ongoing.
I really hope they just go hog wild with the Fugitive Doctor in the expanded media. Chibnall never seemed interested in doing anything with her besides establishing that she existed. There's so much scope for stories so they might aswell cut loose.

@@RobbieMartin745 I agree on them doing a greater emphasis on the 80s. I need more trial of a timelord figures. We only have a figure for the Terror of the Vervoids Sixth Doctor. And it's fairly crap with bad paint applications.
We need more Fugitive Doctor love. Still waiting for more details on her big finish stories which is hopefully still coming. I really want Jo Martin to come back for a Whoniverse crossover especially since Russell is still carrying on continuity from Chibnall’s era.
When they said I couldn't have 21 silurians face the might of 2x aracnids in the uk Graham figures I did nothing. But now they are coming for me and there is no-one to stand up for me
Chibnall concocted one of the most interesting/unique takes on the doctor but wasted it on random one-off doctor 💔 (I don't hate 13; just the fugitive doctor was a real commanding/exciting presence!)
I eventually managed to get one and, while im excited to receive it, it is a little disappointing especially for a limited run release. For £40 you'd think they'd atleast have lights and sounds. I don't know why they didn't have a full lights and sounds version as the online exclusive, then have this cheaper non-electronic version as a regular store release. Character Options keep creating false scarcity for products that don't really feel like they make sense to be rare. Even the stuff that does release in stores, you can't find them in stock in half of the country. The management for this licensing deal is ridiculous.
Okay, so I am offering my services as a dude who's fairly familiar with Character Options and their history with Doctor Who figures to explain why getting two Doctor Who sets for £9.99 is a rip off and why figures have sort of been getting lazier as time has gone on.
One thing I'll posit is this. Server space is extremely expensive. It's entirely possible the overhead for buying server space to accomodate mixed with their licensing costs just make it unprofitable for them to expand for the times they do have these online exclusives
I used to be a dedicated collector of these figures but now I can only justify getting the Dalek sets, and even that is something that I'm starting to lose my passion for. The History of the Daleks sets were great, consistent releases of one two-pack per Dalek story for the entire Classic era, until they decided to just skip Resurrection and go straight to New Who. That and the fact that I either have to buy them on eBay at an inflated price or scour local B&Ms for sets that are never there has really soured my love of this hobby
When it comes to Character options, there are budget/supply and demand issues (due to the uncertain place of merch like this in the current climate and economy) when they make brand new figures that require pieces they can't just recycle from old figures. In the case of the Fugitive, she's made of almost entirely new parts and due to the lack of variants to justify the expense and being somewhat niche of a character, is limited in availablity. Whereas with the new 15th Doctor, as the current central face of the brand, he'll likely be more easily accessible from retailers 😅such as Amazon, the same was true from 13, plus the costume they've chosen has at least three easy repaint variants which makes it a more cost effective investment for them.
I remember when things like this cost €20-30 at most. Why do they cost so much when the quality is still generally the same as it was when they were sold in actual shops? Heck, why is there so few Doctor Who toys being made these days when they used to make a figure for just about everybody? EDIT: Bloody heck, this episode is unhinged. I love it.
Jo Marten is an absolute gem, she was honestly one of my favourite parts of the Chibnall era, seeing the doctor hold the toy of themself is a great modern era tradition that I'm so glad she could be a part of. I don't like The Timeless Child but if we get more Jo at some point, on screen or in audio I'll be so happy
So I just bought a bunch of used/broken DW Character figures from 2006-2008 or somewhere within that timeframe, this is the first time I ordered DW Figures of 5" since I live in Canada so they're hard to come by, and I've replaced some of their parts with my 3D Printer, but Holy Hell they look and carry themselves with grace years later. These things look like Autons of action figures.

I love it when people complain about this. It is what it is, bar the site issues. Doctor Who is so depressingly niche these days, so you wont return to the glory days of wave after wave. Worth sending complaints to retailers really, as they have a 15th Doctor, Ruby, Wrarth and plush meep waiting to be lined up on their shelves. But i bet they arent even interested.
I have about 45 figures. Some are amazing, some not so good. Micky looks good but has a hard time holding his gun! Amy Pond is not so good, but Rory is really good. By the way, Alien Entertainment Company sometimes has very low prices on figures that are not broken but are no longer in the box. I got a few from them and they showed up in about a week..
