We had some "professional" workmen over that after they were done were confronted by a toilet filling up way too slow and continues flushing. They were dumbfounded and after they got paid left saying : "live with it" Your video helped to see that the valve rubber was indeed broken, and one of those 'professionals' managed to have screwed off the floater and dropped it on the bottom of the tank. After watching this video I managed to do what they couldn't Thank you!!!
Watched the video which was great as it was my toilet. Best bit the links to the parts at the bottom. So ordered the part £3.98 delivered now fitted no more leaks and best bit is fully topped up with brownie points. So a big thanks to Linstan whoop whoop
Hi great video. I already bought the new mechanism in full fitted it and it’s still trickling slightly. I bought the entire mechanism so it can’t be the valve. Maybe it could be a leak between the actual basket and the tank? It’s only a very slight trickle but obviously it means that the tank very slowly drains and fills multiple times throughout the day. What do you think..?
Thank you Linstan but can I just say that behind the wall through a six inch hole is a terrible place to put a cistern. You can't see anything you are doing. Had to buy hook light, magnifying glass and still couldn't see what I was doing. Your videos were a great help but it took 9 hours for me to try and get it right!

DID IT!!! New bottom connection was different but it fitted better than the original. But found I had to lower the 'ball cock' because the water wasn't shutting off. Hopefully it is done.

Where to find a BCM350 flush valve product 32454707 for concealed siamp cistern in Ireland or to order online?
received replacement...putting it in has made me demented!!! and am still not sure it's right!!!
