We are lacking an 18350 and 18650 Vampire/Viz solution. That said, on dark nights, the Vampire is just too much. I have a TNVC V1 head, which comes on in low first, then high. I have a 180m view from my porch and I hit the light, in low mode of course, IR. It illuminated it all. Very well. I then double-tapped for "high". It looked no different. I thought maybe there was a low battery or other issue until I did it a few more times and noticed it was just my tubes dimming significantly. I literally get the same performance in low as I do in "high" in IR mode because it's so bloody powerful/tubes dim. For gen 2 or older Gen 3 systems, I can see the appeal for the power, but for me, it's annoying and I don't think I could even make much use of a V1 weapon light without a low mode.

What tubes do you have? I have that light on my helmet too and have noticed in enclosed spaces the two settings are hard to tell apart. That said, I have not had my tubes dim (MH-1).

@@thecontemporarygentleman Even in near open field (tree line 100+m). I am using Supergain tubes, 39 SNR, 0.5ebi, 110K gain, or thereabouts.

@@UnobtaniumsQuickReviews gotcha, what interesting is the onboard illuminators on the MH-1 are so bright I'd have a lot of applications where I'd use them before going to my Surefire/S&S/TNVC IR light.

Thank you for this video, I'm having a hard time finding video or photos of the difference between the dual fuel and the turbo. The only thing I would recommend, is maybe better camera placement (some clips were too close and others too far away from you) and turn autofocus off. Other than that thank you for a great review. And sorry if I didn't hear if you say this, did you use CR123s or the rechargeable batteries? And did it come with a charger for the rechargeables

Thank you for the comment and solid feedback! It came with a cord to plug the batteries into any charging component like a wall plug or whatever you want. I did not mention what batteries I used. I used only the 123A batteries. Thank you for the view and comment!

@@thecontemporarygentleman I'm stuck between the DF and DFT. It would go on my 12.5" and live in a rural area. I got the Cloud defensive REIN 3 I love it's flood affect and still punching out at range. Only down side is I can't have it work with a PEQ-15 pressure pad like the surefire can.

      I'd go DFT.
