- Hong Kong's oldest and most famous hotel, the Grand Dame Of The East. A walk from the top floor Felix Bar, the hotel balcony poolside overlooking Hong Kong harbor, a room overlooking Kowloon, down through the lobby and a walk to the Star Ferry terminal at Kowloon
"That's another one going in the bag" made me chuckle! Great vid!!
I really liked this video! It really seems to provide a realistic feel for what what it would be like to stay in The Peninsula Hotel.
I like how quickly you turned the camera upwards so as not to "embarrass" anyone -- very thoughtful of you.
Funny how you had to ask for help to find the elevator "down" button. That button WAS hard to find!
I even like the hallways! So beautiful, well lit so symmetrical...
I see that the room has it's own nice "airlock" foyer with the internal door as well, to help give a guest extra sound insulation from people who might be talking while passing by in the hallway. I'm remembering now that the room's foyer had a beautiful empty vase. It occurs to me that this actually gives independent-thinking (or romantic!) guests who want to to personalize their room with some flowers they buy a vase ready to use.
On the outside, I really appreciated your description of the buildings, boats, airport, park, art museum, etc.
Your zoom-in filming of the jet passing overhead into the clouds was very artistic!
It's a really fun, interesting video! Thank you for posting it!
Hong Kong, the most beautiful city in my heart!
Beautiful. I love Hong Kong. Looks like the original Peninsula is a notch above the New York one.
Hong Kong's oldest, famous and Historical Hotel in 1941 on December 12, British General Maltby surrendered in person to General Sakai at the Japanese headquarters on the third floor of the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong.
Fantastic video and hotel. Thanks for sharing 😀
i cant get enough of your awsome videos. more plese
I go away on a little four state adventure in the southwest U.S. in the last week and Mr. K. goes on a uploading frenzy! But I will have to come back to catching up and look at your review of one of my favorite places, Kowloon. Coming from a country with relatively few people, even in the big cities, walking down Nathan Street on a Saturday night is nearly surreal. The people, the neon, the noise...Loved the Peninsula. A great place. Thanks for taking us along. Now back to catching up.
Dear kesavaraj,
many txs for uploading Peninsula hotel video superbly shot.
i missed visiting this hotel during my two week stay at HongKong, instead stayed at Empire Hotel at Wanchai and rest of the time 3 days at mariners club at kowloon and balance of the time at Causeway Bay.
Wonderful memories to live life through!!! thanks to you for partly reviving them through this HKG landmark.
Sight seeing was nice and nights spent sipping Jack Daniels whiskey.

Very detailed video. Good description! Subbed :)
Another enjoyable video.
The music in the bar was beautiful. Wish someone knew the name
You are an inspiration to us all.
Lovely Hotel. You’re very familiar with Hong Kong - one of my dream cities. I like it better than NYC in almost every aspect with the exception of Broadway and cultural diversity.
Hong Kong and NYC amongst my 2 fave cities. Relaxed culture in both places I like. I've visited both cities many times since my student days - it was Youth Hostels back in those days - the YHA at Amsterdam /103rd at NYC and the YHA at Kennedy Town HK...
Great video - The Peninsula is an absolute Hong Kong institution. Did you know the hotel was used as a filming location for the Bond film 'The Man with the Golden Gun'?
Great hotel I agree. I've seen the film Man With The Golden Gun, I'll watch again scenes at The Pen they filmed at...
TQVM Mr. Kasavaraj for sharing your travel experiences & knowledge. Your videos are very informative and enjoyable. Use it as reference guide when travelling.
or a 340 :P LOVE ur videos do more ones in hong kong and of airports :)
Will work round to Hong Kong again matey! Airports tricky places to video in - can easily get into trouble with security. Got Sanya planned soon (near Hong Kong south China island resort place)...
What I admire in you, is that in fact you have an ton of patience catching all the details of your journeys.Btw,HK is realy fantastic.
Nice video as always.been following u for almost more than a year now.Anyways, A340 has 4 engines as well.
Excellent... always watch my own video after and agree. My mistake. Airbus stopped making the A340 couple of years ago... nice one.
MrKesavaraj Peninsula or Ritz Carlton ?
@@jaiveer17 I suggest Peninsula.
what's your job omg? I love Hong Kong and wish I could stay in a hotel like this...
Great informative video . You seem to know the city very well.I am not sure why you stated that room views are the luck of the draw. Select a harbor view when booking
"You always feel safer when you fly a RR powered airplane"
Say that to the passengers of BA038.
Just kidding. Nice tour as always.
Often watch your videos and this one was of interest as I am staying at The Peninsula soon. It was a good video as I got to saw so much more than you see on the website. It is a lot more expensive now to stay there!! I don't think the hotel really wants you to take their labelled items as souvenir's, that's why they have a Peninsula shop!!!
+J-Bird4422 S Cool. Enjoy the hotel, really nice. Yah a video strings the place together. Hotel videos and photos skip. I also watch hotel videos on RUclips before I go there. I must have gone at low season for the 440 quid... only 18 months since, can't be that much more.
On the subject of swiping hotel room labelled stuff - hotels know and like such. Free marketing for them. There's a BBC clip on such when they interview a hotel guy. They know and like. I won't share the link, but thats how it is. Anyways enjoy your stay at Peninsula, Hong Kong
Thanks for the upload. Famous Hong Kong hotel for sure but this video again confirms my opinion that there is nothing special or exclusive about large hotels today. The lobby atmosphere is more like an airport lounge, over crowded and noisy and those typical stores like Bulgari etc reminiscent of a shopping mall.
yep, i don't disagree.. but the place certainly beats everywhere else in hong kong...
Do you prefer the Pen to the Ritz-Carlton?
Sports Fans!!!!
lol the rolls royce engine blew up on a qantas A380.
Can I ask why u always travel?
Trixia - seeing the world with your own eyes always better then thru the lens of a camera...
Lee Claxton no i dont think so it is success part it is experience part
why don't you tell the price night mate?
there is no describe the price packet at all , very bad things.
