Suggestion for when it's a 1v1 at the end: Zoom in on the other guy's screen full time, not just for big moments. Obviously don't adjust Ryu's screen, but being able to see both players dueling would be great.
I was thinking he should edit it so the area that has all the players should be replaced by a zoom of the last player with the surrounding area masked out. It wouldn't be a very hard edit at all
I'm glad you're enjoying this game, because your videos featuring it have been some of my favourite in a while. I've noticed that other RUclipsrs either play it super safe and/or keep going back to 1-1 when they have a choice, which is not very interesting to watch. Your aggressive playstyle is perfect!
I am almost certain that person you were going heads up against with the bloopers around 9:30 was me. I had an identical death and came in 2nd. That's when I took a break. I felt cheated cause of the momentum pause when taking a hit from cheap cheaps.
3:30 in the old original mario, if you collect a fire flower while being small, it has the same effect as a mushroom. You don’t get the fire power, you just grow :D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that also the fireballs you shot in the original don't go that far like the fireballs in this new game. Here they cross the whole screen.
@@_sleepco nah it´s called making it easier to give bad players more acces so they will buy more. Kinda annoying how modern games just get easier and easier. i always preferred overcoming hard challenges than being overleveled (pokemon being the worst on this shit, like serously i didn´t grind 1 second in sun and my worst pokemon was 15 levels ABOVE the champs best, stopped feeding the franchise after)
I think you get twice as much time for running into people with the star than for fire flower; you'd earn more time by not firing ahead of yourself when you have star power.
The game does look significantly more entertaining at these later levels. I think if the game had started with all of World 1 unlocked and _not_ just 1-1, or advanced to new levels more quickly, it'd be much more cohesive. That said, the enemy spam does kinda remind me of Little Timmy
You're the first person I've seen strategically attack players and select enemies. Most others just try to play it safe and outlast the others. Fun to watch.

Rare and difficult strategy to pull is to send Podoboo/Lava Bubble when you managed to obtain star power in castle world, because the thing can only be killed by using star power.
I think I enjoy watching these videos and streams of Mario 35 more than actually playing the game (probably because I am bad at it), so thank you for uploading them, they are very entertaining to watch.
I admit, the first two uploads you made of this game made me feel like this game was boring because it seemed too easy and just dragged. But you’re right, once the later levels are unlocked, things seemed WAY more difficult and chaotic with harder levels and enemies and you don’t even have all the levels unlocked yet. Nintendo likely did this so that the game wasn’t too difficult in the early weeks so that people can ease into the game which is smart! I DO think there can be a few things adjusted here and there like a slightly faster timer and a little bigger incentive to speedrun a level beyond just a reason to get a better level (provides alternative strategies, like maybe if you speed run a level, you take a bite out of other people’s timer a little bit?) But otherwsie, the game is looking really fun now that the later levels are unlocked!

I was super critical of the game when it first came out, but iv done a total 180. I love it! Id love to see more ways to mess with other people and maybe see players rewarded more for beating challenging levels. Or like after a certain time you can no longer go to the first 2 worlds. Late games in the later worlds would be really fun to watch.
I'd say this looked great. Idk how that many people would criticize this unless they only played the starter levels repeatedly, lost too quickly. or had matches on the starter levels drag on too long. But once you get good enough to get to the further levels all those problems vanish.
I thought the game would be meh when it was announced but after playing it is super fun! It's fun to send and get sent random enemies and you kind of know what levels they are from. I like the subtle interaction with other players not direct like most multiplayer. It's like going to a party and standing alone in the corner doing your own thing in a sea of (34 mario) faces.
I haven't played yet but I enjoy watching you play it. It looks like a lot of fun. Don't know that I will ever getting around to playing it maybe I'll play a few rounds at some point before it goes but I don't always get around to playing all the games I want to play

Awesome playing. Really enjoying this game. Alot of online shooters have gotten old for me and wasnt using Switch online. It took me a little over an hour to win my first match and starting to get a feel for the strategy. Definately gleamed some things from your playing. I like the survival style thats been prominent lately for online games.
So nintendo can manage to make a battle royal with 35 players at the same time lagless, but cannot figure out how to do it with 4 players in SMM versus

This game looks amazing, I’ve been currently playing Mario All Stars for SNES (original not mini) and just finished Super Mario and Super Mario Lost Levels. Trying to save for a switch so I can play Mario maker as watching you play levels makes me want to play too
Yeah this game is a blast and addicting. I ended up in 8-1 randomly once(??) but still have yet to unlock world 5 and beyond. After world 4 things definitely stepped up
I sure hope Nintendo sees the opportunity here and gives Mario 3 and Super Mario World the same treatment. I generally dislike battle royal games, but this takes a game I've played for 30 years and makes it new again. It's a shame it's only for a limited time.

They need to improve the UI (customizable)so that we can better see players that are still alive. Cause right now, the screen is filled with numbers(placement) that is obviously not necessary when playing. Just saying
tip 1 = stock up on coins at the beginning, so that when the timer goes faster, you have coins to give yourself power-ups more often if needed. tip 2 = try hitting the invisible blocks in the castle levels, other players get those as well....
My strategy, start the game with a fire flower and rush for coins (especially the ones from hidden 1-ups. This gets tons of players to target you with the (most coins) option. So you then target (attackers) so you can send the massive enemy spam of those 3-5 attackers back at all of them. Easy way to get some kills early game if you grab some of the early game's stars.
I think a lot of the people who die really fast have never really played the original mario, and so they aren't used to the controls at all. Those of us who have played the original countless times have an advantage.

Had one match that lasted over 5 minutes, 3 of us were playing in the end for over 8 minutes together trying to out do the others. Sadly I fell down a pit and dies. Still happy that I have 2 wins so far.

They should make it that when there is 2 people left on each side they took over the screens of the dead players so their screens get bigger. So yuh can kinda see what they are doing easier. When there is one person left they take over one side of the screen with their screen.
I never liked Mario 1, but I like competitive multiplayer, so it's alright. I can't compete with really good players. I got 3rd one time and spectated the 2 I lost against, and they were both flawless and were lasting forever. One finally lost from time running out.

In the fortresses where you have to go the right way to continue, it does give you a buzzer when you choose the wrong path.

Still somewhat skeptical because of the grind required to get to the upper levels looks pretty labor intensive. But it’s fun to watch Ryu play.

The whole concept of strategy goes out the window when you just run through the level and don't kill hardly any mobs or get coins in the end game.
